  1. I wonder how many they could have sold, though..maybe a few thousand, but beyond that..
  2. I rarely ever see '80s G bodies around here... once in a while i see a worn-out beater or a lowrider, but that's about it.
  3. I'm sure the cancellation of the Dodge Magnum helped this decision... wagons just don't sell in the US...too many crossovers and SUVs.
  4. I think it should be, definitely.. they'd better not give best concept to the Venza.
  5. Watch out...Nauti-P is ten pounds of terror..when she goes aggro, she's like a pirannha...tiny fangs..rip yer arm off..
  6. Though I've long bashed GM-10/W- bodies, they are certainly better than the smaller FWD GMs that came from the '80s..the A- bodies, J-bodies, N- bodies in particular...some were even pretty cool--I still like the looks of the Cutlass convertible, early Regal coupes, and the '97-03 Grand Prix.. My opinion in general, historically, with both FWD and RWD models, GM has always done midsize and larger models better than compact or subcompact models, at least in NA.
  7. Maybe it will go the way of the Crown Vic.... the 2015 Impala will be much the same as the 2005 was, but with a different grille and steering wheel cover..
  8. Hmmm..well if Venza is to Camry what Taurus X is to Taurus, then ? is to Malibu..(the next Equinox?)
  9. The local TV ads are lind of like that here..one Toyota dealer specifically has comparison ads with two people w/ the same car (Camry, 4Runner, etc) and one smugly mentioned where they bought it and the deal they got, and the other is bummed because they bought elsewhere..
  10. How about a Rottwieler/German Shepherd/Doberman mix? Adopted from a shelter, my sister and her ex-boyfriend raised Rufus from a puppy...growing up around tiny dogs, he thought he was a tiny dog..even after he grew to 85lbs...here a pic of him a while back on the sofa w/ my sister's two West Highland White Terriers, her Australian Silky Terrier, and my Australian Terrier (far right).
  11. I wonder if they will call the production version the CTS coupe or the CTC.
  12. Interesting... I have a cousin that works there, interior assembly line manager or something like that.
  13. Upon looking at the photos again, I realize the side profile (esp. the greenhouse) reminds me of a smaller, more rounded Isuzu Trooper blended with the current Ford Explorer.
  14. My sister did that..she aquired a 6 yr old Australian Silky Terrier from a rescue mission in Missouri (flew from AZ to St. Louis to pick her up). 3 years later, other than a bad habit of pooing (tiny dog, tiny poos) and peeing in the house, she's a sweet little well-adjusted dog, gets along great with her other dogs. My Australian Terrier is a retired champion show dog, got her from a breeder in Phoenix.
  15. Yes..they are definitely money pits..I wouldn't buy one, but I certainly wouldn't stop someone else from pissing away their money. Personally, I try and avoid anything that's not new or nearly new (my Jeep is 7 years old, but I bought it new, my Mustang is 21 years old and was a money pit for a while, but I bought it new)...high mileage used cars are too much of a headache, IMHO.
  16. Maybe they can get the DI 3.6 to 335 hp for this... I love the design..the only thing I would change would be to use regular door handles.
  17. I bet they will..since it's like a tall wagon version of the Camry.
  18. Is the Vibe sold in Canada, eh?
  19. Personally, I'd look for one newer (2000 or so) with lower mileage..the older and higher mileage, the more likely it will turn into a money pit..
  20. This roofline is what in olden times would have been called a 'fastback', I believe... hence the long, sloping C-pillars and short deck.
  21. I keep seeing references to different versions..is there more than one CTS coupe concept???
  22. Without hijacking this thread off on another tangent addressed elsewhere, I don't think BMW & MB have anything to worry about..they have diesels.
  23. Interesting...an HD Burban... didn't the Suburban offer a diesel years ago?
