  2. You know what though... I think people want to like Cadillac and they want Cadillac to be the most aspirational car out there. Everybody and their grandmother has a BMW. Right now, it's the product line that is holding them back. They need their 2011 version of the Eldorado Brougham.
  3. The only way to travel, is Cadillac style.
  4. Cutest bear attack ever.
  5. It is an evolution of the Cadillac theme that has been going on since 2002 (CTS was early intro). It is at once modern, yet familiar, yet with enough heritage cues to honor Cadillac's past. One can maintain a familiar look while going up or down in attractiveness. Just look at BMW (mostly down)
  6. You got a magic one. No, not really. Similar results are being reported all over.
  7. A four car garage with one each of: 1985 Riviera T-type Turbo 1985 Toronado Caliente 307 1985 Seville Elegante Diesel 1985 Eldorado Convertible with an engine swap to an LT-1
  8. but that's the market that Cadillac is lacking in and needs to be in to compete well. What is the sedan/coupe split on the 3 series? I seem to see more coupes than sedans. This ATS is not a coupe, yet. Edit: Also, I am not convinced that there is huge marketplace for a sub-CTS car. The 3-series, C-Class, and A4 don't convince you of that? The ATS is already known to be coming in 4 bodystyles - Sedan, Coupe, Convertible, Wagon. although I have my doubts on the wagon.
  9. Yeah... because they can't come up with a successful design language of their own.
  10. "The Volt manages 35mpg city / 40 highway on its 1.4 liter engine, electric motor and whatever energy regeneration through braking it can achieve" That is the EPA rating. In reality, the Volt is doing far far better than that. When the Volt was delivered to me there was no EV range left on the battery. I drove out to the airport and back and got 70mpg. Yes I reset the counter.

  13. Autoblog is giving the earthquake all the blame..... in reality Toyota's sales started dropping well befor that.
  14. I use it.
  15. I didn't realize that old POS took premium. You'd think after all this time they could get the same performance from regular. That was regular. They charge extra for credit card and I was on the expense account. That pisses me off. It's like rape to charge an extra $0.10/gallon just so I can use my debit card. EDIT: If you're up to $4.21 by you.. then I wonder what gas went up to by me? I haven't filled up since last weekend. That was New Haven CT.

  17. just paid $4.21 to fill up the Crown Vic... ugh.
  18. I like that they point this out in the article. "With gas prices near $4 a gallon, the (EAssist)option on Regal should pay for itself in about 3 ½ years." Someone at GM is using their noggin for writing press releases.
  19. yet, even with the minimal detail that we can see so far.... you still can tell it is a Cadillac.
  20. An extra billion in free cash flow? I'll take it!
  21. I'm hoping the headlights are a long thin line to really drive home that theme that the rear will in all probability have.
  22. Cadillac teases us with the ATS GM teased us with a sketch of the upcoming Cadillac ATS today. Share your thoughts in the thread Cadillac big tease on new small car
  23. Cadillac is a big tease on their new small car August 4th, 2011 - Drew Dowdell - Cheersandgears.com Mark Reuss showed a hint of the upcoming Cadillac compact codenamed the ATS. The ATS launches in Summer 2012 and will be built at GM's Lansing Grand River Assembly along with the Cadillac CTS. In a bit of a tip of the hand, Mr. Reuss called the ATS "codenamed", a distinction not used when he discussed the upcoming Cadillac XTS. This may mean that the ATS name has not yet been finalized.
