  1. Ack! Even worse. Laptops have inherently slower hard drives and bus speeds. That dog of a Celeron desktop becomes a boat anchor of a laptop.
  2. 1. install iTunes 2. open iTunes and connect iPod for the first time 3. grab the CDs you want to be able to play on your iPod 4. make sure computer is signed onto the net 5. insert CD into CD-Rom drive* 6. Click the "import" button in the upper right corner of iTunes 7. Repeat with each CD. *Non-professional CDs will not import track names. Only shrink wrapped CDs will import track names.
  3. you think a Millenia is a stylish car.... by that measure, Fly is gayer than you.
  4. Think about it. Lots of old people buy Honda Accords.... why wouldn't they also consider a DTS? You buy an Accord because you have to, but you buy a DTS because you want to.
  5. Dude, forget the Dell. Substantially better deal $499.00 AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3200+ 160GB SATA 7200RPM hard drive 512MB RAM DVD±RW 9-in-1 USB flash card reader - for your digi-cam Substantially better deal number 2 $439.00 AMD's Athlon 64 3500+ 200GB, 7200 RPM hard drive 512MB ram DVD±RW Dual Layer Internal Flash Media Reader Both of these machines have their pluses and minuses over each other, but either one you go with will be a better buy than the Dell. Both of these machines are Microsoft Vista capable where as the Dell won't be.
  6. Celerons = bad but if you're set on this machine, do yourself a favor now and spend a little extra to get at least 512megs of ram. Windows XP doesn't like running on only 256, the extra memory make a huge difference.
  7. Actually the N* has been updated, just not in the way fanboys want it to be. The N* used to require premium, but for 2000 it was updated to provide the same amount of power on regular. The Northstar in a 2006 STS isn't the same as the Northstar in a 1993 Allante'.
  8. None of the GM cars he linked had more than 4,000 miles on them.
  9. Don't be fooled into thinking Walmart is doing it for that reason alone. They're tired of losing sales to iTunes and Napster. They tried their own online music distribution service and it was about as popular as an Isuzu dealership on a wet Sunday. I'm happy that walmart is using their clout on an abusive industry, but that doesn't mean I'll start to shop there.
  10. I said it that way because I can't quite place what could be wrong. I'd either pursue OCN's suggestion or go down the sensor route. I think there is a sensor that could cause this...... flywheel position sensor.... maybe.... not sure...
  11. Why is he ranting about the dead-man-walking 9-7x? Rant about the new 9-5 if you're going to rant. That said, while the 9-7x not a real Saab, it is easily the best of all the GMT-360s.
  12. What in the hell are you ranting about Razor?
  13. 4? I count 8!
  14. slipping tranny, odd miss, and a faulty speedometer? there is some faint, far off voice telling me these three symptoms are somehow related.
  15. Next time, just say "What do you think of my chop?" We can always tell photochops... even the professional ones.
  16. I'm also trying to figure out why you tried to make the entire car taller. It's like you added an extra 3 inches of height....
  17. Not better, just more interesting looking. Cobalts also have performance options not available to Corollas. You also never hear of Corollas pwning 3-series in rally events. I'm sure the Corolla has all the reliability of your basic beige Fridgidare, unfortunately, it has about the same amount of personality as that beige appliance.
  18. Evok has been known to be extremely critical of the inner workings of GM
  19. still photoshopped, notice the two lowest grill pieces have the same reflection as the two lower grill pieces on the upper grill.... the lowest grill pieces even reflect the Ford logo also, has the car been hit in the left rear quarter panel.... or are those just stretch marks ?
  20. Penectomy??
  21. Gay Street just happened to be where the Stonewall Inn was located.
  22. the old black deleware plates
  23. except they don't. They're fine as base engines. They fuel efficent, and by virtue of being V6es rather than I4s they're smoother than the competition's base engines. I drove an Equinox a few weeks ago, I didn't find anything wrong with the engine, it was perfectly competent.
  24. Gay meaning homosexual was used limitedly before the Stonewall riots. It was the riots though that brought the term mainstream.
