  1. for my driver test, I parallel parked an 85 Toronado
  2. Link? Fly filled a page with them!
  3. As far as the recall's are concerned you obviously have no idea what the truth is! I have a computer at work with every GM and Toyota recall for the last 15 years or so and I promise you for every 10 GM recalls, Toyota may have 1 or 2. There are 7 on the Envoy alone and still counting. May be you should go to work for GM, it looks like that kind of thinking has been working really well for them. You can blame everyone else, but it doesn't change the fact that they created their own problem's. 207380[/snapback] The difference of course being GM issues recalls to simply apply proper seatbelt labeling yet Toyota issues a rather silent TSB for an improperly designed seatbelt setup and airbag disable switch. So, while GM may have greater in number, of the ones that count, Toyota has just as many that are severe.... and some that have been swept under the rug with secret extended warrenties.
  4. LOL @ hustler online on Wildmanjoe's computer
  5. I have a 1971 Kirby vacuum cleaner that is still going strong. Upgraded it to new, allergin blocker bags and it'll still suck the nails out of the floorboard. If it ever dies I'll buy another Kirby. Probably used, but it does show that if you want something that will last, you have to be willing to spend some money on it. Kirbys are freaking expensive. That $68 dollar Samsung DVD player from walmart may last you 3 years, but at least you won't feel guilty about throwing it out when it dies. If it were an RCA <when they were American>, and it cost $99 at walmart, people would cry to high heaven about crappy american products if it died at 5 years instead of 3.
  6. Toyota is better at PR and the fact that have legions of kool-aid swilling junkies like you who do nothing but slam GM and ignore Toyota's serious faults.
  7. it's the republicans that are against higher import tarrifs, it's the republicans that have a fiscal policy that benefits only the super wealthy, it's the republicans that are against the unions...
  8. Honestly, it was in a fairly congested location and wasn't all that large or modern of a dealership. People don't like driving in that area because of all the traffic. Hopefully the new owner will modernize the dealership a bit.
  9. wouldn't drive it for 4 days?
  10. Saturn Ion meets Cadillac Catera meets Cadillac CTS and had a baby with birth defects.
  11. I know a guy in west central Florida that might be interested. You may be right on resale, but the owners that did buy them are fiercely loyal to their Auroras. My mother has a generation 2 Aurora with now 60k miles or so. She literally doesn't know where to go from her Aurora when the time comes. She doesn't want the Lucerne and doesn't want to spend the money for an STS. She really just wants another Aurora. Why? Because it's been very reliable for her, she likes the luxury features, she likes the understated looks, she liked it's low cost for the features. Her main gripes are that Walmart never has her oil filter in stock and she's been complaining about vibrations on the highway...forgetting that she still has her first set of tires. You've only been posting here for the last day. So far, if this were SlashDot.Org, I would mod every single one of your posts <-1 Troll>. If your sole purpose here is to universally bash GM and blindly praise Imports, at least give us the courtesy of letting us know so we can all block your posts.
  12. generally, the thermostat is closed when the engine is cold so no coolant is flowing to the radiator at that point. The thermostats generally open around 180 degrees <ymmv> and that's when the coolant flows through the radiator.
  13. yikes! That doesn't sound right!
  14. could you explain why you're not happy? I like electrics because they sap less energy from the engine.
  15. address the basics first before buying the baubles.
  16. yes, but he can't drive a manual transmission car.
  17. Money is everything. Anyone who tells you otherwise is dilluding themselves. Art is only art if someone will pay to see it. The only thing money can't buy is good knee caps.
  18. uh... I think he was probably taking more than just "guys".
  19. I'll agree about the wood, but I couldn't find a tan interior Impala. The tan interior with the wood looks 1000 times better. So here is gray X3 interior.... but you're still focusing on items that naturally would be different on cars with a $20k difference. I'm talking about the over all design. Other than the steering wheel, it just doesn't look special, or more better, or any of the terms generally thrown about regarding BMW interiors. These look much more upscale and give a "warm fuzzy" that the X3 doesn't. I mean really. Look at that SRX dash compaired to the X3. Cadillac is ahead of BMW in design in this case. What I'm getting at here is that the X3's asthetic design is more akin to the Impala's when it should be more along the lines of the M-class, SRX, and Touareg.
  20. Wow that new grill makes all the difference!
  21. Ocn, I'm sure you know.... sometimes you just have to take it out and flog it.
  22. What are tomorrow's winning lottery numbers?
  23. the new 6-speed was supposedly dimensionally smaller than the 4-speed it replaced.
  24. I wave my magic stick all the time..... gets me all sorts of wishes...
