  1. Looking at the order guide right now. The current truck will continue as a 2019 in DoubleCab config only. 1WT, 1LT, 2LT trims. 5.3 Liter, 6-speed Auto only. Z71 available. 4x2 or 4x4. Could make for a good deal for someone who wants that config.
  2. When I asked about the V6 in the new Silverado, the reply from the Manager of Product Development Communications replied, "What V6?" So my guess is that the 4.3 is dead. The front end looks better in other trims. The air vents on the front bumpers are aero-functional. Edit: I just went and looked at the order guide and the 4.3 is there for 2019... so I guess he was for some reason being coy at the time of release.
  3. The homogenization of the car is nearly complete already. The vroom vroom noises you are hearing in the Mustang, CT6, and most German premium brand models isn't even real anyway, it is computer embellishment. Buick, GMC Denali, Volvo and others use active noise cancelation to remove the vroom vroom noises whenever possible. Automatic pedestrian braking saves lives, loud pipes do nothing for someone who is deaf. It's 1919 and you're still arguing in favor of the horse and buggy. But all of that is beside the point... you can still just let other people enjoy things.
  4. So you're paying 5c/kWh? That is incredibly cheap. It's the delivery charge that is killing you.
  5. This is the autoshow's fault. They've been approving everyone and anyone who could fog a mirror and who has posted on the internet ever. It's all about the control factor. The manufacturers want to control who has access to the debut and instead of getting journalists and legitimate bloggers and influencers, they're getting Chinese competitive intelligence crawling over the car for the first 3 days of the show.
  6. How much of that is distribution? NJ has capacity and flow issues, thus the cost. That price would be even higher without the solar. I'm significantly more pragmatic. I like torque... I don't need vroom vroom noises. I don't care how the torque is generated as long as there is a lot of it and I get it low in the RPM range. I'd drive a nuke powered V12 steam engine as long as it gives me the performance I want.
  7. You would call the card you booked the tickets on, not the card you put the upcharge on (unless they're the same of course). All you had to buy was the flight. You don't have to buy the bag check fee. I never pay bag check fees because I fly so much I get them for free. I would be SOL if it required payment of the bag check fee to get the reimbursement. You could argue with the airline to get your bag check fee refunded.
  8. no one here gets triggered negatively by petroleum as a fuel. Some seem to get triggered by electric as a motive power or even triggered by those who might like an electric.
  9. I guess it needs it, but I'd rather see another sports model over GS.
  10. Check with your credit card that you booked the tickets on.
  11. I would sooo love a truck like that!
  12. Shhh... no one tell @ocnblu. His house isn't powered by coal at all and his part of the state has a pretty high number of renewable "greenie weenie" projects.
  13. Constellation Energy, Green Mountain Energy, and FirstEnergy are already publically traded. #1 and #3 are among the largest energy generators in the country. I still want to see your bill. 6 cent per kWh would only barely cover delivery.
  14. Honestly, no. Out of necessity I have to skim stuff on here when I'm incredibly busy at work. I am all over the NYC area the past few days. I addressed your concern. I missed it in the original post because my eyes glazed over after the third link. I do try to be fair. If you report something, one of us will address it. If you quote it, then you're just repeating it again for everyone else to see.
  15. I'm a big Encore fan, but with its current powertrain, no it's not really a direct competitor to Q3
  16. The Encore needs a bit more engine. Even the 1.6T would be a big improvement
  17. What did I miss? I was in class all day yesterday. If something is an issue, report the post.
  18. Condolences to his family. I wonder what the cause was.
  19. Cadillac's V-Sport adds performance hardware and is not just a premium trim package, so they generally cost significantly more than the non-V-Sport model. The Platinums sell well though.
  20. Not surprising. One in Four GMCs are usually Denalis. People like their premium packages.
  21. Not relevant. California doesn't have power over the Federal level, so your original premise is flawed. If General Motors wishes to run away from the California market just like they did with the EU market, that's their choice. No one is saying any manufacturer has to sell in California. Years ago, a California car was a car with extra emissions control equipment that cost slightly more. What is the problem with going back to that model?
  22. Perhaps finding threads where you can say something nice instead.
