  1. You can get them as low as $43k sticker... but even then your point stands.
  2. I agree. This had to be in process while Piech was in power.
  3. I said nothing about the shape... just that if they made a Buick with Bolt dirty bits, I'd want it to be an Electra. Frankly, if they just put it in the Lacrosse and increased the amount of battery capacity with all the extra room being a bigger car, that'd be fine. Or do it on an Omega based car and load the empty drive shaft tunnel with batteries.
  4. I wanted to announce a few site changes that will be coming ahead of their deployment. I do not have exact dates on when they will be deployed, but I want you to be aware of them. Most of these changed revolve around new EU data privacy laws and while we are completely US based, 25% - 30% of our traffic will sometimes come from Europe. So while we are not strictly bound by these rules, I have decided to put the rules into practice anyway as they represent industry standard going forward. 1. Already Deployed - Guest Cookie policy - Guests will have to consent and acknowledge that we place a cookie on visits to the website. 2. Coming Soon - A new privacy policy and terms of service. Once released, all users will be required to acknowledge the PP and TOS in order to continue to use the site. 3. Coming Soon - A method to request account deletion. This will remove any personal data on our servers, however your posts will remain and the name changed to "Guest". 4. Active - Updated Premium Subscriptions with additional features for premium members. Right now our subscription rate is $1.25 a month on the 1 year plan and if nothing else gets you a site you can enjoy without ads. Premium subscribers would not be exempt from our "Deals Finder" page as that is a service we offer to members to get discounts on automotive related products. The current packages will be adjusted to offer more value to premium subscribers. Further details on that will be released soon. 5. Coming Soon - AdBlock Blocker - Running this website is expensive and either I plaster the site with ads (which I don't want to do) or I have to block users who block ads until they whitelist the site. I keep the ads minimal and not annoying, so if you're currently someone who blocks ads, please consider whitelisting us or purchasing a premium subscription. 6. Active Now - Community Moderation - Now if 5 members report a post for Spam, Trolling, or Abusive Behavior, the post will automatically be hidden till a moderator can review it. 7. Coming Soon - Enhanced Newsletter - The newsletter will be completely revamped. You will need to opt back in to receive it. 8. Coming Soon - Advertising Sales - If you have a business or website that you would like to advertise, CheersandGears.com will be offering banner advertising with geographic and demographic targeting. 9. Coming Soon - Three new sister sites focusing on other niches. Your CheersandGears.com login will work on all three new sites and your subscription level will carry over.

  5. California is not losing population. https://sf.curbed.com/platform/amp/2018/5/2/17312954/california-population-2018-count
  6. I would totally do a Bolt as a second vehicle if it weren't so non-luxury inside. I still want the goods. Make a Buick Electra and we'll talk.
  7. I don't expect a rebadged and rebodied Pacifica to get the Trailhawk rating... but that type of vehicle is what SMK is suggesting.
  8. I fully expect a 3-row from Jeep... but making it a vanilla crossover with no off-road capability isn't the way to go about it.
  9. On the first one, why should they dilute the brand like that? Just for volume? Every Pacifica clone with a Jeep grille and standard doors would devalue the premium that the JGC can sell at.
  10. This is one I use frequently on facebook when people are being dumb and I'm about to explain it to them.
  11. give it another try?
  12. didn't it work for you?
  13. It will be so much fun! But be careful because Judge Judy is still watching
  14. I've seen them many times from a distance and they are quite beautiful. But to really get the full effect, go down to the end of the runway at O'Hare, you can drive there, and watch as one of these ( An Air China in my case) takes off practically over your head. Not only do you get to appreciate the beauty... but you end up in awe of the size. My brain said "My god, that's a big ship!"
  15. If someone else was paying and the cruise went some place I was specifically interested in, I might do it. I would never seek one out though. With one exception... I think the River cruises they offer in Europe look really cool. I would be interested in one of them. Substantially smaller boats.
  16. That wasn't directed at anyone in particular. We can still chat about these cars. Just new ones go into May
  17. If I had the room and found a final year Town Car that wasn't beat to hell in livery service, I'd probably snatch it. That or a '97. BTW, it's May, so new spots need a new thread.
  18. Moved to lounge.
  19. A Land Rover CR-V Freelander would be the bees-knees for the brand reputation.
  20. In a famous meetup, the Eyesore of the Seas, the Ungainly of the Seas, and the Tacky of the Seas.
  21. Also the difference between a cruise and a crossing. You'll never find me on a cruise, but I would love to do a crossing.
  22. Two possibilities - 1. The battery is toast, you just haven't hit totally dead yet, and the alternator is working overtime to try and keep it charged. Drive this way too long (a couple weeks to a month) and you'll toast the alternator too. 2. The voltage regulator is toast (this means you'll need a new alternator) and will eventually kill the battery too if driven for even just a week of normal usage. You can potentially fry other electronics in the car as well. Easiest step is to take the battery to be tested somewhere. If it tests good, schedule an electrical system check somewhere and be prepared (or warn your parents in this case) for an alternator replacement that could be coming. The graphics being wonky are probably just a symptom of abnormal electrical system operation.
  23. I'm guessing we don't see it here. If this is indeed a stretched Cherokee, it is unlikely it would meet US side-impact standards.

Hey there, we noticed you're using an ad-blocker. We're a small site that is supported by ads or subscriptions. We rely on these to pay for server costs and vehicle reviews.  Please consider whitelisting us in your ad-blocker, or if you really like what you see, you can pick up one of our subscriptions for just $1.75 a month or $15 a year. It may not seem like a lot, but it goes a long way to help support real, honest content, that isn't generated by an AI bot.

See you out there.
