  1. Also the difference between a cruise and a crossing. You'll never find me on a cruise, but I would love to do a crossing.
  2. Two possibilities - 1. The battery is toast, you just haven't hit totally dead yet, and the alternator is working overtime to try and keep it charged. Drive this way too long (a couple weeks to a month) and you'll toast the alternator too. 2. The voltage regulator is toast (this means you'll need a new alternator) and will eventually kill the battery too if driven for even just a week of normal usage. You can potentially fry other electronics in the car as well. Easiest step is to take the battery to be tested somewhere. If it tests good, schedule an electrical system check somewhere and be prepared (or warn your parents in this case) for an alternator replacement that could be coming. The graphics being wonky are probably just a symptom of abnormal electrical system operation.
  3. I'm guessing we don't see it here. If this is indeed a stretched Cherokee, it is unlikely it would meet US side-impact standards.
  4. I have to say, this is kind of growing on me over time. It would never be a replacement for the Grand Cherokee, but I think it still might have a place in the Jeep lineup to let the JGC move up market.
  5. How easy would it be for Toyota to build a 4Runner EXT?
  6. There's a lot more wealth in NJ also. It comes from being the bedroom state for NYC and Philly. Out in the middle of Pennsyltucky or even here in the smoldering ruins of former steel towns, there's not much revenue to collect on a dilapidated mobile home.
  7. The new Explorer platform is apparently flexible enough. Hopefully they can use that for some Lincoln sedans as well as the Aviator.
  8. Another one going 48 volt and probably getting there before Mercedes... Liters per 100 KM feels weird to us Americans. For reference, 10 liters per 100km = 28 mpg.... lower liters is better. Dropping the fuel usage 0.3 liters / 100km in the range the Golf would be playing in is roughly an increase of 2 mpg. Because of the nature of how MPG works, the conversion rate is not consistent.
  9. I thought the next generations Continental was getting suicide doors.
  10. I don't understand why Genesis would not offer Apple Car Play or Android Auto when Kia UVO and Hyundai BlueLink both come with it. I've been seeing a lot of G80s and G90s around here. The do catch the eye... they have presence on the road.
  11. New ways to make an old technology viable for the future is not "living in the past". Keeping the old technology around just because and ignoring the consequences of that technology would be living in the past.
  12. I may be behind a bit, I thought he wasn't governor anymore.
  13. That site is owned by gasbuddy. It's just one of their local urls they use for search engine optimization.
  14. Well they're building Velar 2-door coupes... I'm sure it is just a vanity exercise.
  15. i'm surprised they weren't branded Lancias the way Sergio works.
  16. Happy Birthday @caddycruiser Good meeting you a few weeks ago, hope you have a good one.
  17. This. You know what would turn the ES's fortunes around? The debut of an attractive new grille design that eventually is adopted by the entire brand.
  18. The woman on the right is soooo me..... .not that I'd remember his name anyway
  19. I can't even tell with anything online anymore.... have to be so serious about everything and take it as it as written.
  20. They made them, yes. But they were meant for testing only and they specifically warned VW against using them in production.
  21. Which is exactly why Toyota shouldn't bother spending the money to change it. Sometimes, the status quo really is sufficient and spending money just to change it doesn't have any ROI.
  22. My point is that the numbers you are looking at are unreliable. Both companies use TSBs and Recalls, however what constitutes a recall v. TSB is inconsistent. Thus, only looking at the number of recalls per vehicles sold doesn't give an accurate picture. It could be AMC v. Datsun v. Trabant for all I care... if companies aren't treating the issues the same, then the numbers per brand are meaningless for comparison.
