Perhaps in future there will be compatibility, but right now, the super charger stations only work with cars that the station recognizes. I don't know if they read the VIN or what.

Bespoke chargers that only serve one brand of car are going to stop making sense very soon, particularly on a scale such as this.

If you unclench a bit, you might be able to get those batteries out.... Have some chocolate, it might help.

Yes, the CT6 will do that. It also keeps a running recording of a few minutes of video and will save the video if the car is in an accident.

They're garage/trailer Queens these days. Nice examples are being preserved. Rough ones are being raced.- 16 replies

Aw, I'm sorry your date got away last night Ocn...

I think CAMI's bacon is already cooked. By going this far, they've pushed GM to start looking at a much more orderly exit a few years down the road when this agreement expires. Not sure that NAFTA has as much play here as production would go to Mexico anyway.

Yeah, if I end up in another Chevy, I'd like to get one.

But it wasn't that way.... GM already put $800 million into re-tooling the plant for Equinox. The Union decided they wanted more than an $800m commitment for what is one of GM's best selling models. It wasn't lose - lose... it was win - lose... and the union picked lose. I don't have a problem with unions that are reasonable... but insisting that a specific plant gets preferential treatment... that's not reasonable.

Yup, that's the one. I couldn't find a pic before I had to leave the house.

I like the new "classic" badges that Chevy is offering now...

The V6, the vast bulk of the sales, just got it's upgrade last year for a few of the models that got refreshes. They haven't even added Direct injection yet, though the Pentastar is designed for it, and it is still competitive.

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
I put snow tires on my AWD vehicles... there's that. I have a 20 to 25 degree incline to get out of my driveway. Snow and Ice aren't "what-if" scenarios for me, but when.- 176 replies

$35k is way too much for this car. That will get you an Equinox Premier Diesel which is more fuel efficient or an Equinox LT 2.0T which is faster. You can''t even equip an Escape that high.. and again, the 2.0T will get you there faster. Ditto Forester At Toyota that gets you a RAV4 Limited Hybrid, so much better fuel economy whether you want to go faster or further on a gallon of fuel, there are plenty of better options out there for this price.

When there is already another line that is building the same product, it is a lot simpler to do. Good on GM for not putting all their eggs in the CAMI basket like they did with 5th gen Camaro. The Union is trying to act powerful while negotiating from a position of weakness. It's not going to work out in their favor.

Tesla Model 3 Production Has Some 'Bottlenecks'
Drew Dowdell replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
I plan to someday. As I've stated before, there isn't an EV option that works for my needs except for Tesla (AWD = required), and I can't afford one of those right now. There is a big difference between saying "this won't work for me" and "this won't work for most/all drivers".... the latter is the impression you give in your arguments.- 176 replies
