The CT6 is not the best selling vehicle on the road today. The massive difference in volume between the F-150 and the CT6 is why we're not that concerned about the Cadillac. Cadillac will likely just flatbed a damaged CT6 to the nearest available repair shop the same way Tesla does. If cadillac were moving 300k CT6s a year, then yes, that would be a cause for concern. As far as the weight savings on the F-150... all it did was make a heavy truck into an average weight truck. It brought down the weight to within what the competition was doing. I will say that Chevy's commercial was effective, at least on my mother. She called and asked about that because I think she is thinking about a new King Ranch soon and she does put heavy stuff that could pierce the bed back there. I told her to just make sure she gets a bed liner insert and not to worry about it.... but she didn't seem convinced. I guess we'll see what happens. My dad has been an F-series driver for 45 years... I can't see him changing things.

Quick Drive: 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat

For people who can afford $72k for a car, it probably is a really sweet deal to get 707 horsepower. -
What's your most feared driver stereotype? I don't mean just people who annoy you on the road, I mean people you avoid because you think they'll do damage to you or your vehicle. For me, it is women of a certain age in mini-vans. The typical subject is about 104 lbs, has the seat pushed as far forward as possible, wears giant Jackie O sunglasses, and is an assistant manager somewhere. She only has two modes of driving; slow and erratic in the left lane while arguing on the phone or Michael Schumacher with a bad case of diarrhea and searching an unfamiliar place for a toilet. So how about it? Who out there makes you fear driving?

Where else are you going to get 707 horsepower for that price? -
that will change as time goes on and the tech is rolled out to more cars. The Tesla was/is like that too and that doesn't seem to be limiting things.

In the first one I feel like there will be a middle age man voice over telling me all of the fascinating attributes of the sporty new-for-1984, import beating, Mercury Topaz. The second one, with a slightly higher BPM and more synthetic snare has all the makings of an instructional video on the 1982 Pontiac LeMans Bonneville G, a car that brings you the combination of classic lines, sporty styling, and Driving Excitement from its 3.8 liter V6 and 3-speed automatic. Available in only 4-door sedan or 5-door station wagon layout.

Let me know. I'd like to stop by if you get it.

I decided I'm going to start a video blog of what I'm doing with all of these apartments. Here's the first, rough video from today. This is one that has gotten the most changes. Four walls removed, converted to an open floor plan, getting an all new tile bath/shower and a new kitchen, refinishing the hardwood floors throughout. Plus this one has a two car garage attached.

I know... and it's not one I'm particularly impressed with, it's not like it feels fast. 20/24 city/hwy out of a 200hp Turbo-4, is not that more horsepower or torque than the GM 2.5.... while the Equinox V6 only gets 16 city, it at least has the courtesy of providing 300 hp and can still manage 23mpg highway. The Escape 2.0t also has much more power and torque and gets 20/27. Even a 4x4 Jeep Grand Cherokee with twice the number of cylinder can manage an EPA 22 highway. So unless there is some massive new revision of the VW 2.0T coming with this model I don't think I'm going to be terribly impressed with the heavier extended length version.

And I'm Donald Trump's nominee for the EPA. I've never seen any credentials that you've presented. The guy I was talking to had a Lincoln branded name tag on.

I've been told the exact opposite from Lincoln reps.

They are fuzzy definitions. There are more than a couple vehicles in the luxury class that I would consider to be less luxury than a LaX. Different people define it differently.

Why? A loaded out LaX is pretty luxurious...

So, as of friday afternoon, I finally pushed the procurement manager off of my project. This means that I have full control over my project and also full responsibility. The bad news is that if the project were to fail, I now have the full blame. The good news is that I'm in control now, so it's no longer going to fail. This project has been floundering for months because the procurement manager has ZERO technical ability and was trying to run the project through his office. I've done this same type of project on a national level twice before, so I can almost do it in my sleep.

I was going to ask what you were going to do with your job and all.

I've had the current body Avalons a few times (probably that same year) and always enjoyed them. They are much faster than their horsepower numbers suggest. My only complaint would be that they overcompensated when they stiffened up the suspension over the floaty prior model and they seem to be much more prone to losing traction under hard acceleration on poor quality pavement.

Great commercial concept... but Matthew looks terrible.... I wish they would update their spokesmodel while updating their cars. At least the car shows well.

Made redundant. -
4.3 inches longer.... and VW's 2.0T? That sounds like it will probably be fairly slow.

That's pretty nice. My Cadillac dealer would pick up from my office in downtown. My Buick dealer does from my house.
