Chevrolet News:Just Launched Chevrolet SS Already Threatened with Extinction
It's a reasonable guess. Additionally, since the XTS is rumored to be a One and Done car, the only other car it shares with is the current Impala. So, if Cadillac goes with Omega first then Chevrolet follows a year later with an Impala on the same platform, it would mimic the release schedule of the two current cars. Both the Cadillac XTS and Impala should have no problems running right up to 2017 or 2018... which is a familiar date

I am taking nominations for the best cars we can't buy in the US. I am looking for one of each category, but if there aren't enough nominations for a category, I'll just drop it from the final article. Any body style that fits in the size category is fine. Current production only please. Micro Sub-Compact Compact Midsize Full Size Small SUV/CUV Midsize SUV/CUV Large SUV/CUV Truck *wildcard *in case I missed something

Pushrods = better fuel economy
How much of that highway number is coming from AFM though?

A decision
Florida is a one plate state too.

Pushrods = better fuel economy
What would the 6.3 liter produce in power and fuel economy if it's displacement were reduced to 5.0?

2013 ATS 2.5 -- Review
CLA lines up more against the Verano Turbo... the Regal is a bit larger.

Pushrods = better fuel economy
It's already been proven. The 2005 Malibu with the 3.5 V6 4-speed auto, 200hp, 220 lb-ft @3200 rpm The 2005 Camry with the 2.4 I4 4-speed auto, 157hp, 162 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm Both rated at 23//32, and while I don't know about the Camry, I know the Malibu could beat the highway number easily. Edit: But there is no advantage to a pushrod inline engine... except, I suppose, that you could increase the stroke slightly. Pushrods have a substantial packaging advantage in V engines.

If there was a way to do 32v pushrod V8, how would that change things?

Rumorpile: Next Commodore To Become Front-Wheel Drive
Australians have given up...the Commodore is only 4th in sales last year, they mostly buy FWD appliances like Americans do, and some Japanese trucks. 1. Mazda3 - 44,128 2. Toyota HiLux - 40,646 3. Toyota Corolla - 38,799 4. Holden Commodore - 30,532 5. Holden Cruze - 29,161 6. Hyundai i30 - 28,348 7. Toyota Camry - 27,230 8. Nissan Navara - 26,045 9. Toyota Yaris - 18,808 10. Ford Focus - 18,586 I have a friend who went to work for a tech company in Australia and just came home for the holidays. He says he pays double what we pay for gas and everything else is almost double if not triple. He was shocked to see some items like wine from there cheaper here than down under. The public is in a pull back to the cheapest and most fuel efficient auto's they can get. Only the true upper 1/3 of the population are buying performance Holdens that tend to guzzle gas. From the sounds of things that Terry told me, it sounds like they are going through crazy prices and interest rates like we did in the 80's. Sad, but a fact of life, their next so called full size sedan will probably be a re-badged Buick. Opel Buick, Opel..same difference.. No, not really. The small Buicks are Opel based, the large Buicks are Buicks. There is still the mid-sized crossover coming, most likely on an updated Theta platform and then there is the possibility of an Alpha coupe.

2013 ATS 2.5 -- Review
The Regal is every bit as luxurious as an S60, better built (and probably equally luxurious) than the MKZ and nearly as athletic as the TSX.

Lincoln News: 2015 Lincoln MKC To Start At $33,995
Hmm... the X1 is $30,800 msrp, but that might be smaller than the MKC, the X3 is $39k. The GLK, which feels larger, is $37k. The SRX which is larger inside and much larger outside is $37k. Lincoln might be in a sweet spot here.

Rumorpile: Next Commodore To Become Front-Wheel Drive
I'm driving a 2014 Regal this week... and while the "all-new" or "mostly-new" definitions may be debated, Buick really has upped their game with this car... even over the last one. It's a shame that no one will buy it though.
