    The problem isn't always tariffs. In the case of Japan, imported cars have to go through hefty inspections that domestically produced cars do not. In China, the companies have to be Chinese based even if they are in joint partnership with a foreign company.

    Or.. if you're in Florida... the power company raises your rates to pay for a new Nuke plant, collects $820 million from customers, then cancels the project without building the plant.

    The taxpayer subsidies to ExxonMobile are much greater than any subsidy the public gets via the Volt or Leaf. So spread your outrage around proportionally please.

    Technically it is a "fleet only" vehicle, but anyone can buy one if they really want to.

    Yet... they can keep the Captiva in production? I cannot see how the Captiva is a better fit for Chevy than the Trailblazer when the Captiva isn't even sold retail.
