  1. None, although we tossed around the idea of a CTS before getting the Prius Probably none
  2. None Maybe a Camaro convertible, depends on how things shake out over the next few years.
  3. Beats the hell out of "kill 'em all and let god* sort it out and our children foot the bill" *the same god, by the way, that told the terrorists to fly planes into our buildings.
  4. 0 and nope In fact, I only know 1 person who has purchased a new Pontiac in the last decade, and she traded her Bonneville in for an Acura TL Type-S.
  5. I wont believe it until GMS reports that it has been "shelved."

    Energy drinks

Haven't had an energy drink in like a week now. I think last Thursday was my last one, maybe Friday. I dont remember. I also went completely soda-free until this morning, and have been coffee free for a little while. Pretty much nothing but juice and the occasional Gatorade.
  7. She drove an Accord today, didn't love it, didn't hate it. We'll see what happens.
  8. A sub-Cayman 4-seater wouldn't be bad, AWD would be icing on the cake. The MINI Cooper proved that FWD can indeed be sporty, if they go that route, more power to them. Branching out, adapting to survive, evolving.
  9. Fusions stand out more than CamCords if you get the right color. Black, dark blue and red are the only way to go, although the darker silver isn't too bad. The best looking Fusion is a black SE. No spoiler (I hate that spoiler) and it doesn't have the superfluous chrome on the trunk and around the foglights. The problem is that black is impossible to keep looking good.
  10. That would be ideal in the long term, but the cost of closing down the B-P-G dealer network would be insane.
  11. I'm pretty much in a suburban area, and its getting old. Rural living is way overrated, I have a friend who is literally 30 miles from anywhere. Getting to his house requires driving a maze of narrow, twisty gravel roads, and his house is surrounded by trees. No way I'd ever be able to live there. I'd love to sell my house and get a loft someplace closer to work and fun stuff. If I want to go see a baseball game, or live theater, or a comedy club, or fine dining, I have to drive about 14 miles, which takes over half an hour with traffic, then try to find a parking spot. I usually park on campus and walk a few blocks, but it would be far easier if all these things were within walking distance of my front door. Realistically, if we sold the house and moved into a loft, I'd be able to bike just about everywhere I go, so we'd only need one car.
  12. Maybe gay Middle Easterners?
  13. I haven't noticed any road noise in a new Civic. They're smoother, quieter and far better put together than the Cobalt. The Focus is far niftier than the Cobalt, and they come cheap.
  14. The Solstice is definitely a chick car. Did you even have to ask? Maybe Cougar car would be a better term, since its mostly women of a certain age group driving them. There is also that one owned by the alcoholic metrosexual 20-something guy.
  15. The Focus would be better equipped for less, after rebates, but the Civic is still a far better car.
  16. Until she got the L200 in 2001, every car she'd owned was a stick, her Opel was a stick, so thats no prob. I'm going to try to get her into a Focus.
  17. The Cobalt is really far behind the competition. The Civic may be $3k more expensive, but its worth it.

    FIREWORKS

Fireworks tents started popping up this week, they opened for business yesterday. I went today and got some Sparklers, Roman Candles and some other small stuff. Got my free gross of bottlerockets too, not sure what I'm going to do with them, they're useless and stupid. As soon as it gets dark out (sunset yesterday was at 8:36) we're going to go out in the yard and play around. I didn't get any of the big, booming stuff, at least not yet. I dont know if my special hidden fireworks spot ig going to be possible this year, its by the river and we've had a lot of flooding this year. On a bright note, a lot of my white trash neighbors have left (several have been foreclosed, others left when their rental agreements were up and the company renting the houses jacked up prices) so hopefully we wont have the all night fireworks displays that have been going on the last couple years.
  20. The Prius is surprisingly peppy. The more I think about it, the more the Focus makes sense.
  21. Since my mom got the boot from England (visa issues) she's back home and the 'rents have only one viable, working vehicle, the L200. I'm not entirely sure where the Sebring is, last I heard it was pretty well dead. Maybe they'll let me park it somewhere and charge people $5 to hit it with a baseball bat, since thats what the POS deserves. Anyways, since mom couldn't bring her Opel back from the UK, they're going to need another car. She wanted a Prius, but they're not going to have the cash to put up front like we did, and they probably wont be willing to jump through the ridiculous hoops we did. She was quite intrigued by the Rabbit, until she drove it and complained it was too slow. I tried getting her into a New Beetle convertible, but it had the same sluggishness. That sucks because I miss having a convertible that I could use from time to time. I'm thinking I'll point her towards the Astra, Focus and Civic.
  22. 'blu, you need to change your sig. Spring has sprungeth and has now sprungeth past.
  23. 50% of the cars in my driveway have manual transmissions. 90% of my driving is in a car with 3-pedals. Just sayin.
  24. Like I said
