That's my point exactly! It makes no effin' sense, unless GM management wants to fatten the company even more so that a financial-services-like bailout is offered for 'relevance tot he economy' reasons, but really I don't see that happening... -

OK......... so GM would get USD 11bn in cash, but how much cash is Chrysler bleeding? How much would it cost to shut down Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep? How much attention would the whole process divert from the task of building better cars with the nameplates GM has at this point in time? -

Wasn't one of those Buick mules (the one with Swedish plates) 4.8m long according to the specs sheet that leaked? It could be a 9-5 mule and not a Buick, but 4.8m is Insignia-sized, not what a LWB EpII's length would be (I'd imagine a LWB EpII would be between 4.9m and 5m long)...

Life seems too short, but in its apparent fragility it finds room for resilience and resistence. See those people that don't give up and keep their dignity even when faced with an incurable/terminal disease? We should all look up to those people when we're facing our own many times small difficulties.

But they will still try that same strategy IMO. Why would you merge 2 companies that bleed cash (I am assuming Cerberus hasn't done such a good job of turning Chrysler around) if not for the political leverage in an election year gamble?
