  1. That Caterham = I think I'd offer you more cake than Satty if you shipped it here instead, hehe And I didn't know the Alfa 75 was sold in the US. I thought you guys only got the 164.

  4. Jell-O Royal was a brand of gelatine when I was growing up
  5. Let's see if, in the end, GM doesn't end up being raped by Cerberus :AH-HA_wink:
  6. I know there's a message and it is 'Holden, you're screwed'

  8. How much cash will GM and Chrysler burn through the whole process, though?
  9. A Chevy Insignia... Intriguing... EDIT - Re your comment about a Chevy-Cadillac brand structure, as sad as that would be (the demise of my Saab, Opel and the other brands), could be something real in the future if GM keeps losing market share or starts losing volume.
  10. Hurray for anything that boosts liquidity!
  11. Agreed. Also, one of the links posted refers to a swap in which Cerberus would get GM's stake in GMAc and GM would get the Auto operations of the Chrysler Group. So....... no cash involved? You swap assets to get assets that burn cash? Or has Chrysler magically turned around into a cash generating business?

I'm afraid that if the US market does end up at 13.2-to-13.4 million units in '09, then $4/share might be too much...
  14. Hmmm... Holden Flextreme sounds good...
  15. Let's play a game, based on news I heard on TV yesterday: who spent 400K on holidays at their company's expense just days after their company was bailed out?
  16. Pontiac G-Spot would be a nice name Re where this fits in the NA lineup... I don't really know, although I do like seeing it wearing a waterfall grille... As a slightly smaller and cheaper Buick it might work, but to me that would mean no NG Aura. As a NG Saturn Aura it would mean no smaller Buick unless that Buick rode on DeltaII... But then wouldn't there be too much of a gap between a DeltaII Buick and a LWB EpsilonII? Managing GM's portfolio in NA in a shrinking/stagnant market isn't easy...
  17. arcanoid it rhymes with tabloid, and yes, I'm old enough to remember that game

  19. Over here wagons sell based on style (active lifestyle perception, blah blah blah) and utility (for example a reconfigurable cargo area), not sheer cargo volume.

  22. I honestly hope GM doesn't stick a twin kidney grille on this thing... It looks great as a Chevy!
