Depends on how one defines showroom. 3 separate areas with different themes will work out fine, or we can even have the same dealer with different locations for each brand and a common service point. My dealer here in Lisbon works that way: 1 location for MINI, 1 location for BMW, 1 common service location. There are many ways to skin a cat :AH-HA_wink:

This 3-door/5-door debate is funny What I find interesting is that people seem really surprised at the Astra's interior, even though it is not a new car... Are Cobalt/G5/US-Focus interiors that bad? EDIT - I think I know the answer re the US Focus.........

IMO that is the reason why they are being paired. No cannibalization, Saab moving slightly upscale without stepping on Cadillac's toes, and basically having a single global (note my emphasis on the word 'global') premium channel.

QFT The 9-5 is a dinossaur. 9-7 and 9-2 were never relevant because they were 'GM old think'. Brands with a global foot print should get better attention from GM. On another note, I could have sworn I read 150K break even point... EDIT - they should put me in charge of Saab

For the driving experience the Mini. For more practical matters either the Mazda 3 or the 5dr Astra. If you decide on a blend of style and practicality, the 3-door Astra. I like the Euro Civic 'spacey' styling, but I wouldn't buy one and certainly not the US-market Civic sedan/coupe.

Perfect hand-to-eye-to-leg coordination? I prefer the uncomplicated stuff myself, but buyers expect to be pampered with a bunch of different goodies nowadays.

I could see consolidating both Captiva and Equinox in a single new model. Maybe a small Gamma based crossover could be offered below that.
