  1. No, she probably doesn't, she's probably a latte sipping, terry cloth pants wearing, stupid-head, who wouldn't know her asshole from a hole in the ground.
  2. Yeah, its kinda like a saying a co-worker of mine has. He's the man of the house, and pedestrians have the right of way. The problem comes when they wish to express that right.
  3. Me and the wife want to go see it when it comes out. I really didn't like Pearl Harbor, the movie, to me it was 3 hours of love story, 45 minutes of good action right at the end that you had to wait for.....bleh. I really liked We Were Soldiers, that was a really good and really accurate movie, although it was based on the Vietnam War, and not September 11th, so there's definitely some time difference between the two events.
  4. If they don't want the Iowa there, I'll take the Iowa and park her next to the Alabama in Mobile Bay. I know she'll get respected and visited quite often down there.
  5. For me, this is a normal summer, although I do live in the south. And y'all wonder why things move slower down here, its becasue we don't WANT to heat stroke out.
  6. that's just it, from what I've heard, its only the dealer$h!s in Alabama and TN that's getting the bad press. The rest of them aren't having problems like that, at least not ones that are reported.
  7. Sorry you had a crappy day man. what valve seal broke on the truck. There should only be two real seals concerning the driveshaft, one being the tailshaft seal on the transmission/transfer case, the other being the pinion seal on the differential.
  8. welcome aboard the board.
  9. that's just rediculous. Brain damaged people.
  10. I've heard about crap that like. Apparently this has been happening for the longest time, just no one has had the balls big enough to report it. I'm from Montgomery where there isn't a Bill Heard stealership, but there is one about an hour north of me in Birmingham, I might go piss on a few cars tomorrow on my day off just for $h!s and giggles. That's completely wrong, if the salesguy sold the ride for less than what was needed for it, then its his fault, and should be his ass out on the street the next day. If I sign a contract with someone that this is MY vehicle and I'm making payments on it, or paying cash, then they can kiss my fat white ass.
  11. I stand corrected, i re-checked my information when I got to work today, it does have the Shortstar.
  12. I dunno, I've never liked aircraft witha high wing-mounted engine set up like that. Give me something more "traditional" like a Citation or a Lear.
  13. I'm sorry, I wouldn't trust ANY transmission that has an overdrive to tow in it. That's just scary dangerous, unless you've got an add-on cooler with an auxilary fan blowing directly on it PLUS the factory radiator-based cooler. I'm sorry that I didn't have a camera to take a picture of the "bent" Ridgeline, I just don't normally carry it unless I'm going somewhere where I know I'm going to really use it.
  14. I know of a couple of people who are now keeping their old L-series wagons because Saturn doesn't have a current wagon. With news like this, I can convince them to start getting ready for a new ride in a couple-ish years.
  15. I don't know if I've mentioned it here, but I saw a Ridgeline being towed in a few days back and it was actually "bent", looked like someone overloaded it and it just folded up like a tin can. No damage to the front or rear to indicate impact, it just folded up in the middle.
  16. I'll be honest, I don't like when ANY vehicle has a recall, although there is a dark and evil side of me that likes when I see imports having recalls (espeically those nice little screwballs over at Toyota) so I can happily bash them whilst waving a large Chevy bowtie over their burning hulks.
  17. chimney
  18. for some reason, I don't like the mega-cab. I dunno what it is, but it just doesn't jive with me.
  19. Acutally that's all the pictures I was able to get, the camera's battery died shortly after the picture of the mid-engine 'vette concept set up. And you may be right about Mr. Duntov's Vette, it could be a 1974, I don't honestly recall the information plaque at the base of the picture.
  20. Concerning Olds GLS=top-o-the-line. That also constitues the Buick-designed 231 V6. Good car from what I've heard, with very little complaints on anything with it.
  21. He probably could have gotten better mileage out of the Jeep TOWING the Ridgeline.
  22. balth, I'll be the first to admit, I didn't read the article, I just reacted to what everyone else posted, but now that you mention it and I've read it, this guy is full of $h!, to quote George Carlin.
  23. I haven't seen a Z06 on the road, although I saw one at the NCM in Bowling Green.
  24. *drools and twitches nervously* Wanna wanna wanna. Oh yeah, by the way, great article, really fair write up. I knew that the Z06 would be an absolute stunner and a beautiful car to boot.
  25. It looks good. I'll be glad to see it come online as a current Malibu replacement. I can't wait till the Impala goes RWD though, its going to be a killer, I know it.
