  1. On top of Gary Barbera's Chrysler in Philly today (didn't notice it until today...unless I'm just not observant): Along with a new red Fiat 500 and black 2011 300 base, freshly delivered on display out front.
  2. New shot, as snapped driving home into Philly Sunday evening.
  3. Followed a white '11 Charger in traffic, new. Seemed odd how that very cool back taillight looked so...plain and plasticky in daylight. It wasn't until we both went under an overpass and her lights kicked on, illuminating the LED surround that I went "ahh, that's it...".
  4. Unlike the Acadia (which really doesn't need anything more than the DI 3.6L, and there is nothing else possible to use now anyway), I too wonder if they'll do anything powertrain related with this one. It would be one item of differentiation that could be valid, using the DI 3.6L also...as going into the SRX for 2012. But even that doesn't matter. The Denali line has street cred like no other, and GMC buyers clamor for the monochrome look, extra chrome, and ritzied up leather and trim inside. The Terrain will do well with it. On that note, most still prefer the DI 2.4L anyway, and for mileage ratings, that could be the option best of both worlds for many. The Terrain is a great package, all around. Mom seems to love hers, even having replaced a Camaro. Denali it up. People will buy. It's a GMC necessity.
  5. Shucks. Week or two into my CX-9, snow & ice everywhere, I tapped a co-worker's front Ford license plate backing up in a lot and ended up scraping the cladding of my bumper. Of course, despite how it looks, a part you simply can't replace without the full bumper. Hopefully your damage fades away with time. Small but aggravating thing for a couple weeks. Sounds like a fun ride. Trucks are great, then after a time...it's still a truck. As much of a luxo barge as it was, that was my Avalanche issue...still a truck. Refreshing to get back into a car or CUV, in most every way, after. Snick, snick...shift, shift...zoom. Fun.
  6. I know they made a Jade Gray and a darker Green for the Fleetwood but I am unaware of a green factory interior, to my knowledge there were only six colors (Black, Blue, Gray, Neutral, Red, Burgundy). Perhaps Derek has some light to shed on this. Depending on the light, the light gray (especially with a green exterior) can seem to have a green hue. No green, otherwise.
  7. Sweet choice Borg. Perfect color. Shall compliment the GXP nicely. Mrs. Borger on a Terrain yet or still waiting for a Denali Terrain?
  8. That is so cool...and even not finished...so clean & cool, as is.
  9. I had forgotten about this since posting on the other GM board yesterday...but the 2012 TL. Our first one rolled off the truck yesterday, black/black FWD Tech. Small changes but very different overall "aura" in person vs. the '09-11. First when it rolled off the truck: Then today when it moved, next to an identically equipped 2011 FWD Tech in the same colors...great comparo time:
  10. Same here. 3 in 2 days, all black, all different.
  11. Awe, you have my disease. It's okay, we keep it interesting. Nice little ride, color and options especially. The DSG can be weird, so good there. As long as it stays solid, it should be a really fun little money saver with sophisticated feel. Saving money is always grand too.
  12. Too cool--glad to see Chrysler has a system/people and gifts for these milestones.
  13. You never know with me, but as of now no plans. Always thinking of something. As my current position advances, by June I should have a new Acura to drive as well, demo time. Family the same. Mom just got her Terrain, no more Camaro. Dad is dandy, on his projects. Brothers Regal needs a new powertrain, but he both won't do that or replace the car, so who knows.
  14. Likey. From the other forum, expect the latest updated version of the 3.6L, the Twin Turbo 3.0L, and 2-mode Hybrid. FWD/AWD, etc. if detailed correctly, named correctly, and marketed, it should sell. Despite what many of us think about the current SRX, it wasn't until the current model that people actually got interested and started buying them in droves. This car with power, AWD, etc. hopefully will do similarly, the only question being price. Lots of Tech, styling many who have seen still proclaim is stunning despite what it may seen in camo, and AWD, V6, turbo V6, etc. Shall see. Like.
  15. Stunning new white '11 Durango Citadel turning onto the street & heading past me on the way to work yesterday. Few new Chargers and a 200 out front of a Philly Chrysler dealer I passed today. 200 change is huge, regardless of what some think. Similarly, was beside/behind a new white '11 Avenger Tuesday heading to work--not as much of a change, but somehow paint or otherwise, looked better finished than earlier models. Also a new '11 Journey at night near work, beside me on the road--that huge new 8" screen glowing in the center of the dash. Chrysler week for me so far.
  16. The Camaro has been prepped, GM Certified and is back up for sale: http://www.pointenj.com/VehicleDetails/used-2010-Chevrolet-Camaro-Coupe_2LT-Penns_Grove-NJ/1007770033 Was in perfect shape since day one, especially since it was really just mom and no one else ever inside, and had Weathertech floor liners front & back until trade day--had to remember where I put her carpet mats, in a back somewhere. They should put this car on the showroom floor with a GM Certified sign...then again, it will be good for street traffic, too.
  17. Black Camaro Convertible, freshly delivered, in view of my desk window at the Chevy lot that semi shares a lot with our Acura store. Wowza.
  18. Even on the large crossover side of things, we've been talking about at work in the past 2 days (Acura dealer) about pre-owned/certified MDX's we have in stock and will continue to get as trade ins, and how "remember when the gas prices blew up last time? The value of these dropped a couple grand immediately...we have to plan for it". Interesting to hear, as it remains true even on the crossover side of things. Haven't seen it yet, as right now people are only finally once again even mentioning "I want to trade in my truck...more efficient", but waiting to see how it turns, if it does before prices go back down.
  19. Especially in SLT leather trim...wow, these things have a nice interior. Just checked it out in the dark. Love that new GM smell, and it's huge inside, for sure but small enough outside. I wanna drive it, to finally see what that 3.0L is all about. Got rid of the Camaro tag bracket, it was too weird. Roger...Pointe remains top of the top in my book, especially here with delivery and locating/trading the exact right vehicle in no time, of which only 1 existed in a 300 mile radius, at a $2k+ difference vs. locally. All done by an email, phone call & delivered.
  20. Musta changed her mind. I zoomed back to DE tonight after work to pack up furniture, and when I pulled in I saw a white plate with a sheltie on it on the front of the Terrain...and her vanity plate (shouldn't be yet, per Jersey) on the back...with the darn "Chevrolet...CAMARO" trim ring still around it. Inquired about that one, to no avail. Looks nice, I like it. I've not been up close to one yet until now, and really do like it in silver. I'd ditch the sheltie plate, but it's her deal.
  21. If it weren't for the garnet interior we might have to fight to the death... No likey the red? My favorite feature of the '93, especially vs. so many others later that only came with the dark burgundy interior. After 8 years, the car needs some work but nothing extraordinary for a 18 year old ride... Back to the Terrain, someone is going to have to figure out how to drill out the front bracket rivets and plug the holes. Did the same on her Malibu & my G6, and she's expecting the same on this one. Hmm.
  22. Got a later night text. Someone is outside tinkering and was just astounded when she opened the center console in the dark, there's some sort of a light inside to light it up. From her Malibu to Camaro to Terrain, it seems like this little boxlet has the most intriguing and thoughtful array of features throughout.
  23. If only. I can't believe it's nearly 8 years since dad bought it, wow. I still am getting emails about my '95, wanting to buy it, as apparently there is an ad somewhere I can't find, that I put up long ago. Memories. Wondering what this Terrain is really like. Mystery to me.
  24. Surprise. Family vehicle change again. I'm no longer around to see them happen, except for my own, but a picture texted today said it all. Mom. Camaro. Loved it. 14 months old with 11900 miles. Couldn't drive in snow, worried her, freaked out multiple times, but loved it and drove like a banshee. Ever since I told her "drive it hard", she would, carefully. Weekly was freaking out about going to the store and not having space, going to work in snow and having to borrow the Subie, going anywhere with dogs and taking Subie, etc. Really, a workable situation, but apparently it pained her to let it sit those times. Really, the space/functionality issue got to her, even if it was a blast. Wanted a Hyundai Tucson, because she "saw one". Repeatedly. I half sold her a CX-9, then a CX-7, but backed out. It died off, then she wanted a Santa Fe, again by seeing one. I demanded she go see our friend at the GM dealer when I was away, to see a Regal or Lacrosse. Did, but looked at Equinoxes & Terrains instead. Drove a 4-cyl Equinox LT, "no way". Liked the car, not the power/sound. Drove a V6 Terrain SLE, and "huge difference". Dandy. Wanted AWD, V6, leather, etc of course. Located, priced, didn't like pricing. Pondered. Equinox was her choice, Terrain I wasn't sure. I made a call to my salesman at Pointe Buick GMC in Penns Grove, NJ again (where my G8 originated), told him what she wanted, and boom he had it done, dealer traded a Terrain and sold at a hugely better deal than local would even consider. Their loss again. She never left home, and they delivered it to her at work today. Got a 2011 Terrain SLT-1 AWD in Quicksilver with Jet Black leather, and 3.0L V6. No other options. Aside from the front plate bracket she loathes (to be worked on), because of the other Jersey dealer it originated from, seems to enjoy it. "Smooth, quiet, comfortable. Huge inside." No Camaro, but alas. Texted me this late today: She didn't like the Terrain when I first suggested it, and I had to ponder the look, but was thrilled to get it and I think will like the techier block look. I've never even been in a new Theta yet...oddly. Wondering how the 3.0L with AWD will be, as the mileage ratings stink, but owners mostly seem to enjoy after some updates and break in. Now spring, AWD will probably never kick in, hah...but it can if needed, which she wanted. And around the world again it goes. GM wins again.
  25. I registered for Sunday as well, a week or so ago. Have always wanted to go to one of these.
