I don't know what it is but seeing all those winows down is just such a rush. There's absolutely perfect visibility with not so much as a 1" thick pillar. It's been three days since I bought the Super and every morning I'm still speechless when I get in and turn on the AM radio after rolling down all four windows & opening the vent windows. I cufking love this car!

I wish they had a closeup of the cat... looks like Garfield.

I'm ignorant on this particular topic but in general our trade policies are very hurtful to our country.

Bel Air 4dr? HT of sedan? Eitehr way they're quite the car.

Seriously, they drove it like it was a corwded city street even though they had a few places the car could have openedup a tiny bit. What are you going to do though? It's priceless.

About a week before my daughter was born I had one that said "someone special is about to enter your life". Still have it, it's one of the photo albums.

Everytime I sit in my Suoer 88 and stare at the dash I think every manufactuer should go out of business for makign the $hit they do now. Mistsubishi was a much bigger offender than a lot of others. The EVO8 is not reason enough to keep them around. If the Eclipse was based on a EVO they would be slightly better off but instead they put an econobox four door body on their best high performance car.

Eye for an eye!!! I remember some comercial that they showed back in the day of a poor Golden Retreiver who had battery acid poured on him. I think that any sick F%$# who does something like that should be subjected to the exact same thing as punishment. Actually hard time with a few fellow guys who are also Society's bottom feeders might be a more apt solution after all. If OZ is even 75% accurate I think that's a good way to handle it. When we buy a house I want to adopt a Greyhoud ex-race dog. I've got Marcia onboard with that idea for the most part.

Yes, if I had a bike I'd wear a helmet but it should be my right to choose weaterh or not to do so. Massachusetts has a helmet law NH does not. Let me tell you as a Mass resident the LAST effin thing we need is more regulation! Be carefull what you wish for, slippery slope!

'84 Datsun: 32 combined (it's a six after all and I burn rubber in it) '68 Camaro: (now gone ) 11 - 17 depending on the day, I averaged about 14. '97 Q45: have to do the math still... I'll go through the 30 or so receipts & calculate it. '97 STS: between 18-20. My old 1991 S10 Blazer 4.3 5-speed got low 20s on the highway. What? Did I miss a thread? You got a Duramax, I'm jealous! Spill the beans.

Thanks guys. The new owner of the Sixty8 called said 2nd gear is blown in the transmission. I guess I never listed that but since I said in the auction pretty much everything needs a restoration I thought it was self explanatory but whatever. He asked me over the phone today to give him a $200 kickback for a new/rebuilt TH350 so I negotiated for $150 and told him I'd send him a M.O. He seems like a nice enough guy, he payed top dollar for the car with Buy Now, so I'm going to do the right thing and send him the money. After all he could have showed up and offered $4200 for the car and came up with some lame excuse as to why he can't pay the whole amount as promised. So many scumbags on eBay do that or worse. Still that's another $150 that I will not have to put into the Super 88. Videos coming soon. Camino: You lost me with the Geese part. Enzora: I think I'll keep it for a few years & get it perfect, then upgrade to a 59-B.

I hate you Northstar! Damn, I want a Holden GTO.

I understand why they're applauding since no one got hurt but at the same time it's kind of like applauding at an excecution once the blade comes down through the person's neck. Kind of weird. That's kind fo call how they were used by boats to navigate and even had a cool nickname. Balthazar: Agreed, although there's a couple brands in this country now who's factories I'd love to see torn down.

Pontiac Solstice Wins First-Ever SCCA Race at Lime
Sixty8panther replied to Flybrian's topic in Heritage Marques
Any of you guys coming to Lime Rock better give me a call and I'll meet up since it's no further away than my 2nd closest client meeting. I've only been there once but it's a cool circuit. It was in 1999 for a VW day. I saw about 20 Golf/GTi/Rabbits lift up their right rear wheel simultaneously. -
Wow.... I stand corrected, in black this thing looks AWSOME. Forget B- solid A for me after 24 hours.

UUghgh! No that would be much worse. The Suburban is nice but it has very soft styling. Too soft for a BOF full size truck. It looks like a freekin Toyota 4Runner could kick its butt in a schoolyard fight. Trucks should look like they're rugged, pissed off, strong & broad shouldered. This is already growing on me, it's got some soft styling as well but it does look a bit like 21st Century take on a 1979 Chevy, which is good. MORE Chrome, LESS plastic.

Wow, how did I miss this thread? Congrats BV. I think you got a good deal here so long as you keep up with the preventative maintenance & take it easy with you Mazda. I traded one in when I worked at Chevrolet of Lowell. It was really bizzare.... the Millenia was gold with tan, 1999 and the guy traded it in on used loaded up 2002/3 Pontiac GT sedan. Why? His kids and wife HATED the car. They hated the color, styling & IIRC ergonomics of the back seat. In any case after he drove off in his new black GA-GT I took a spirited drive in the Millenia and I thought it was honestly a great car. I'll save you the FWD-cars-suck speech, outsuide of that these cars are pretty nice inside & out. Best of luck wiht it, looks clean and well taken care of, how's those dipsticks for the oil & trans look? If I were you I'd switch to synthetic ASAP. I'm the resident "Detroit Metal or nothin" troll and I bought two Datsuns, that might have f@#ked up the balance of the Universe for a while. Me buying a car made in Japan is like Mother Theresa committing armed robbery... although my biggest hot button being RWD I sold out less by buying the Q than if I had bought that 1996 DeVille. We all have our price I suppose, there's more than one Judas on this site.

Hmmm.... I'd love a 1970 LeMans HT for a project, if I didn't have my hands full with my Olds. Hope she goes to a good home.

Too bland, too... wussy looking. Better than Ford but not better than the Titan in terms of bad ass fascia. Not that I'd buy a Titan over a Chebby but we're talknig strictly styling here. --------- This says "look I have a big chrome grille..." B- http://www.speedsportlife.com This says "get the f#&k out of my way or I'll run you over!" A+

Last night wiht the Super 88 behind us on the flatbed we were driving down Rt.2 and a MINT baby blue mid 90s 2-door Tahoe passed by. Back in 2003 when I was working for the GMC dealer I had this pain in the a$$ customer who was always lookgng for a 2dr Yukon/Tahoe/Blazer from the 90s. He used to come in like once a week... "Any used 2dr Tahoes?" He said he'd take almost anything if it was clean and less than 90K. This went on for like two months. Then one day we got a nice (95?) Tahoe 2dr with like 70K on it. It was blue and had a tan interior, clean & solid. I called him up ASAP and told him to stop by becase we just got the perfect trade it. He came in, bitched about the blue exterior color, bitched about the tan interior & then wasted 1.25 hours of my life telling me how lame this truck was. Fu&%ing looser. People get so hung up over stupid details. Beggars can't be choosers. I'd never pass on a good deal for the sake of color if the vehicle is rare, solid and priced right. $h! I wasn't looking for a green Caddy STS, or a Battleship-gray S10 Blazer, or a tripple gray/silver Fleetwood Brougham, or even a refrigerator white Super 88. Girls get super hung up about colors, men who look for a truck get hugn up over things that are relevant like engine size, transmission & body configuration. [/rant]

If you ask me: 1. LeSabre 2. G. Cherokee 3. Maxx If the Pontiac is being sold by a dealer$h! wiht bad customer service only consider it if you're getting it at like 65% of KBB. Nothing sucks more than a shady dealership. In the time of our one month of "dealership warranty" with the Q45 they spent about $1100 in small B.S. repairs and check engine light gremlins. If the guy was not very much on the up-n-up we'd have been f%#$ed.

I hooked up the Q45's battery to it while she was inside and showed her how to use the freight train air trumpet of a horn wiht the buttons on the steering wheel. Pretty soon she was waking up everyone including the people in the graveyard down the street. I thought the Fleetwood Brougham horns were loud... this is insane. I have a air horn setup in the Datsun running off a relay and in conjunction wiht a Roadmaster Horn & the stock Datsun horn for a total of four horns and the car is pretty loud, like practical joke in a parking lot loud, but the Olds' stock 42 year old horns put the Datsun to shame. Z28luv: It's aint an 88 it's a SUPAH-88! [/bahstan_ax-cent]
