  1. Well that I'll agree on 100%. Jaguars are a joke... the X-type is so lame I almost hurl every time I see one. Gross styling and $h!ty Mondeo Guts... well, not $h!ty but definately not up to snuff for what they're asking. Lincoln is going 180* of where they shoud be and I have a Feeling if things don't improve very very soon for Mercury they might be seeing the Guillotine too...
  2. Charger: No problem Buddy. BTW: Here's your long overdue Sig. XP, since you never gave me the new photos of the Cutty & Egg I just used the old ones. A-ight!
  3. Good things come to those who wait. Thanks for your patience. NOS: It's just for fun... read the first few pages of the thread... it's supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.
  4. Don't ask me my but I thought the 2nd gen. Saturn sedans had a Tatra look to them from the front.... maybe the inboard running lights.
  5. Last time I checked Ford still gives us options... they have a RWD Mustang & a great BOF sedan with RWD in the Crown Vic. Not as good as the B-body but still a great car for the money.
  6. If only I could go back and not mess up my driving record as a dumb young kid... this $h! follows you around for years. Thank God I never did anything really serious like DUI or hot & run. Then your life is really over.
  7. See... and the Chinese don't even drink Kool-Aid.
  8. Well... to each his own but I like Angel Eyes on almost anything. Like I said the chop was just an amateurt attempt by me to do a 21st century KITT using a 4th gen. As far as Smokey & the Bandit, Id' love to see a remake, although Gleason would be sorely missed. And since we're throwing around insults about BMW headlights I'll say that I LOVE cars that "LOOK AT YOU". Notice the 59 Buick in my sig looks as if it's about to pounce forward and gobble up a Prius for a snack. I find cars like your Aurora to have a glazed over, sad, dull look. Like the car is high and depressed. Modern, crisp crystal-like headlights and angel eyes are a nice alternative to the crap that filled the gap between square & round sealed beams of the 70s and the modern jewel like lamps. But that's why they make Chocolate & Vanilla I suppose.
  9. Ocnblu: As always your sense of humor is awsome!
  10. "Pretty good" is relative. I hate the Caliber. It looks cheap and Korean... all I can think of is a Kia with a Dodge Ram Grille. GRRRRR-OSSSSS. I love the SRT-4s styling and am sad to see it go.
  11. Are you guys all kidding? There is one and only ONE car that should be used: Actually some of you may rememebr that I beat them to it, this is a thread from this past February. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...wtopic=6395&hl= BTW: Burt Reynold's is not getting anty younger either.
  12. It's not a perfect world where crushing a 1957 Plymouth can somehow magicaly undo the years of N.E. rust and abuse to a 1960 Pontiac. But I know what you're saying. Still it makes me smile to know that these cars will probably still be there in the woods after we are all dead and buried. Let the future generations at least get a glimpse at what a real car looks like. I love walking the woods there and seeing all these cars, it's a magical place, like holy ground for car enthusiast.
  13. Cool, this is great news. I'm disapointed to hear the motor will be the No* though.... I really loved the idea of the STS-V being No* but the CTS sticking with a good old fashioned, durable, torquey, basic pushrod motor. If it aint broke, don't fix it.
  14. 1960 Dodge Phoenix Two Door Hardtop IMO this is one of the top 10 best looking cars with fail fins. Like classic pickups? Dodges, Fords, Chevys, GMCs, Independants? There's about a dozen of each Thisn poor 1960 Cadillac is missing much more than just the bullet tail lights. Ouch!, looks like a severed fish head. Cars & Trucks are not the only things left out to Pasture in these Evergreen woods. More to come.... this is just a very small sampling of the photos I took. And I only photographed about half of the "collection" thus far.
  15. With the exception of the slightly cheesy Dodge RAM most trucks today look very feminine and soft.... trucks are supposed to be masculine and tough, not like some Japanese Delivery van. My favorite truck right now is the Silverado. Durrability, quality & it has the angry styling that a proper truck should. The Nissan Titan is a great looking truck and is innovative but I'd never choose it over a Silverado. The GMC Sierra is just too rounded and car like in its non Denali skin.
  16. Agreed, either way don't be a stranger and best of luck!
  17. Not for nothing but I made that comparison over a year ago and got a lot of flack over it. The G6 is kind of like the offspring that would result if a Camry LE got knocked up by a Mazda 6 IMHO. truth be told the G6 is a decent vehicle and I'm dissapointed they did not call it what it actually is: a Grand Am. I wish the base model was available wiht a 5/6 speed. Automatic "sport sedans" suck. If it doesn't have a clutch pedal it's NOT a manual.
  18. There's plenty of MCs... I know it's depressing to see cars in this shape but at least I respect the fact that they get to return to nature by natrual means. Most junkyards in my area crush 60s and 70s cars even if they're $50 away from being daily drivers. If I won the lottery I'd pull a few of these cars out of the junkyard, some for just lawn ornaments and others to return to 100% roadworthy shape, but Id; leave the patina.
  19. As promised months ago here's the two 59 Buicks that are slowly returning back to nature in a Junkyard in New England. The cars are saddly waaaaaaay past saving and as a matter of fact they're almost useless even for any parts. Tomorrow I'll try to get around to posting some more classic car pics from this "outdoor car museum", many of them from the 1930s & 1940s. The location of this junkyard is a family secret of XPs & I feel priviledged to have earned his "trust" enough for him to share it with me. It's amazing to see several hundred "classics" just siting in the middle of the woods. The proprietors of this salvage yard are true heroes of mine, they crush 90s Acuras & Toyotas almost as soon as they arrive but leave 1950s Plymouths and 1960s DeSotos sitting in the woods for decades without any hope of making money on them. Without further adeaux: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2182.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2183.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2184.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2187.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2189.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2188.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2190.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Six...er/DSCN2186.jpg And here's just a taste of what's to come... I still have dozens of dozens more photos to post in the next few days. Check out the tree growing out of the cab of this truck:
  20. Knowing that the Mom & child are safe, I was grinning like a freekin' Cheshire Cat the whole time I watched that video. It's like Christmas in May. Nice to see one of these bug-eyed blob-mobiles off the road permenantly. I wish I could be there to celebrate with a fine cigar when that deathtrap was crushed. I'd love to have driven by this Nipponese-inferno in an 85 Fiero and laughed all the way home.
  21. That's an understatement, even coming from you Balthazar. The expenential spreading of the plague of FWD can be compared to the abuse of power by the UAW in recent years. Both have contributed to the decline of the big-3 more than all the other factors combined.
  22. Cool, and I like the Vauxhall grille trademark.
  23. The sedan was just... awkward and ceap looking. Still if I ever saw one on someone's lawn for $300 O.B.O. I'd buy it and drive it just for $hits & Giggles.
  24. Mandolin
  25. RWD All else is just icing on the cake.
