  1. This is so absurd! http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=84428 I guess it hit like $15,000,000 and the winner was a deadbeat so now it's been relisted. (there's a shocker ) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...mMakeTrack=true
  2. Yup... Isnt; it funny how the Ranchero/eLCamino concept is so popular down under? Seems like every manufacturer has had a variant.
  3. Datsun Ute (except it's been Redneck-ified) B) http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-1200-ute-mod...1QQcmdZViewItem
  4. nothing a heat gun and credit card will not solve in under 5min.
  5. Turnaround time: Possibly in your lifetime... if you have an appointment.
  6. Looks more Sky based to me by the look of the front fenders by the door. Either way, bring it on!
  7. I can not even begin to tell you what a crock of $h! the Kia warranty really is. 100,000 for things like lugnuts while the $h! that actaully breaks is somehow always excluded. If some of you have any experience you KNOW waht I'm talkign about. Always an exclusion. And when there isn't an exclusion you wait 3 weeks for the third trans. replacement on a car with 50K miles. That's quality. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. I love your special brand of Sarcasm. LOL Bluesman: That interior is ridiculous. Love the Q-tip shaped center-console/stack. I'm sure the Mice will buy them up like '64.5 Stangs.
  9. The Catera was at least RWD and hd original stying compared to the rest of the Caddy lineup.
  10. $h! I keep forgeting you're right in Conn... we should hang out next summer at some half-way carshow like in Worcester or whatever. As far as ebonics I think it's insulting to A.A.s I mean even the most ghetto-speaking person can speak well IF they make an effort. I've known a few guys from Worcester, J.P. (Jamaica Plain in Boston) and even the Bronx and they can all speak perfectly fine if it's in a classroom/business setting. Even the exchange student from Kenya spoke well enough for anyone ot understand him. As a matter of fact some people with thick accents speak better than most of us. They make it a point to annouciate and pronounce the whole word.
  11. Z: It's pretty un-American to have to ride a bike to work out of necessity. This is the land of opportunity damnit. Besides how bad can the Cobalt be? I'll never give up my V8 powered cars for gas prices... if fuel gets ridicilous we'll just figure ut a way to make a bio-fuel. Gasoline isn't the only combustible liquid.
  12. The yellow Pontiac is not a LeMans? (I second Josh's motion!)
  13. Yeah, well... in H.S. I drove a 1994 (almost new) Pontiac Sunbird, then in College I had a 1993 Olds Achieva for a while. Then I started workgin at Bill DeLuca CHevrolet& Pontiac and the plan was to buy the first F-body that came in used. First we got a 1995? Firehawk (6-speed) with a hood mounted tach... that was about $18,000 used so it was NOT happening. After that we got a couple of really horribly abused V6 3rd gens. Again, not my style and not worht the trade-in value. Then we got a 1981 Chevy Malibu Sedan w/305 in trade. Battleship Gray, Low miles. I wanted it. The problem was the rear of the frame was rotted out beyond help. Then one day I sold a Granp Prix GTP and took in a somewhat cool trade. 1987 Mercury Cougar XR-7. Burgundy with gray. I always thought the rear window treatment was hideous on these cars and I was NOT a fan of Ford at the time. But hell, it was V8 (302) RWD and in great shape. Only had 87K miles and we only gave her $825 in trade. So that became my first car. Bought, insured, titeled by me. Now years later I've had over a dozen GMs, a few non-GM Demilition Derby cars and my one and only Japanese car. A 1984 Datsun 810 Maxima. I've own a 1st gen Camaro (68) and I had a fantastic beater 3rd gen Firebird. (83 w/ a GM crate 350 motor) I'm pretty sure I'll be loyal ot GM from now on, but my priorities are shifting more towards RWD and American made than JUST GM. The new Charger looks better and better every day.
  14. I've yet to won a Mopar... I will someday.
  15. Well spoken. I think Fashion is ridiculous. To spend the eqivelant of a used car on clothing in a year is silly when you can spend 1/4 of that on decent clothes and be just as comfortable if not more. But hey, to each his own.
  16. I used to be buggeed by a lot but I don;t really care anymore. Some examples of what I think are retarded slang: ebonics the fact that this word exists makes me both mad & doubtful of humanity's future Snoop Slang Funny Example Balla' This slang is in my opinion less inteligent than Cro-magnon Speak Holla' at me! It's called a phone... you know how we do it ...no actualy I have no idea WTF you're saying fly as in: "that girl is fly" (esp. when white people use this expression) XP: New England isn't that bad. We can still comunicate with most english-speaking people from Australia, UK, Ireland... But down south a few regions have people who really do have their own rapid fire dialect that is completely out of touch with the english language. I think ICP have a good way of imitating it. Tonic? I've never heard someone use that and I've been living here for 19 years. I think it's on of those old-timer things. 'Pop' I've heard in N.E. a few times. BTW: I'm going along with the nature of this thread but just as a disclaimer I'm not saying I'm racist against african americans or dixy flag waving hicks, I just think some of them do not speak correctly and/or effectivelly. As you guys may have noticed I use some of these in a humorous setting. Instead of getting upset at how retarded they are I use them in a corny way to hopefully kill them with my goofy white context.
  17. Wow... sad. Depressing and disturbing in the most horrible way.
  18. WOW!!! Camino you never fail to impress. I'm thinking the best one is the Poncho LeMansCamino. The GN is pretty sweet too but doesn't work as well for some reason.
  19. About 40% of the time I like the fender mounted mirrors. But I'm weird. My future Buick may heve the aftermarket mirrors that are mounted just ahead of the windshield. Not as strange but still out of the ordinary.
  20. I thought that myself. An oil change would require a boatload right there... I think It's safe to say they use synthetic.
  21. Keep the pics coming guys! I gotta run... busy week.
  22. Love the s.s. interior, super long wheelbase and yacht like styling features. HATE the retarded FWD setup that makes it retardedly backwards. You do NOT pull that much weight around wiht the frot wheels. Damn it the rear axle must support AT least 65% of the vehicle's weight but the fornt wheels power it?
  23. WOw... that's funnny. I only read all the responses before me AFTER I posted. Interesting how many of us had the same idea.
  24. Depends. Either I'd normally pocket the $50 if it was just an acquaintance. But a friend I'd probably give him $25 and be honest wiht him about the whole deal. --- OR --- SAy to friend: Let's hit that nice Italian/German/Whatever restaurant and I'll buy. I'm a cheap MoFo but if it's a good friend then you deserve to give back some of it. But hell... as far as societal rules go you provided a service for the uncle by finding a buyer so the $50 is not undeserved.
  25. Take everything bad I've ever said about Robert Lutz. Now dismiss it, forget it and destroy any evidence of it. This is great news. Thanks Mr. Lutz!!!
