  2. Wow.... love the pansy-boy-options delete!
  3. You're right to some degree but... 1st amendment 2nd amendment War Health care Abortion Welfare Taxes These things are far from "minor". And yes, it absolutely works out best when there's a balance. I think both Republicans and Democrats have some great and some $h!ty ideas. I think my 2 biggest fears right now politically are: 1. 1984 is here and it's only getting worse! Down with the Patriot Act. 2. Jobs are being sucked out of the country like leaves in a Hurricane.
  4. Fart cans and tacky body kits really are evil.
  5. BBL: I hope you will not get offended by this joke. It's a bit un-P.C. but I mean no harm by it. Muslim Children Body: Two Muslim mothers are sitting in a caf chatting over a pint of goat's milk. The older of the mothers pulls her bag out and starts flipping through pictures and they start reminiscing. "This is my oldest son Mohammed. He's 24 years old now." "Yes, I remember him as a baby," says the other mother cheerfully. He's a martyr now, though," mum confides. "Oh, so sad dear," says the other. "And this is my second son Kalid. He's 21." "Oh, I remember him," says the other happily. "He had such curly hair when he was born." "He's a martyr, too," says mum quietly. "Oh gracious me," says the other. "And this is my third son. My baby. My beautiful Ahmed. He's 18," she whispers. "Yes," says the friend enthusiastically, "I remember when he first started school." "He is a martyr, also," says mum, with tears in her eyes. After a pause and a deep sigh, the second Muslim mother looks wistfully at the photographs and says... They blow up so fast, don't they?"
  6. I lkove the cameo Lance did in Dodgeball. It's so true. Thsi guy makes most tough guys look like Pussys. His heart is like three times the size of an avarage humans. They should extract his DNA and clone a million super-soldiers from him for the US Army. ...or maybe not.
  7. I told Marica the day that she was born that she would be the most successful woman in Rally Racing history. I can just tell. I guess my car obsession really is rubbing off on her. If she sees a car anywhere... (store, TV, book, computer screen...) she gets all wide-eyed and yells: "Waaoh! Caaaaar!!!"
  8. Yes, 99% of politicians are scumbags. I'll say this much: Clinton gets too much for things that were really put in place by Regan. And while I think Bush is out of his mind it's not because he's a Republican. He's not even a good Conservative. If I had to choose a party I'd say Libertarian. Every election is different though so it's tough to say I'd always vote for lesser of two evils or whatever. One last side note: Ross Perot was actually a pretty smart guy & we should have listened to him. Hindsight's a B*&%^$@.
  9. For her 2nd birthday "Unlce Ross" (XP) got Sofia one of those super cool Hot Wheels Tracks and donated his gently used Hot Wheels cars to her already impressive collection. The two of us goofed around with it for a while but it took her a couple weeks to really get into it and figure out the ins & outs of the high-speed figure-8. I took this photo the other day when I was showing her how to break it down and re-assemble it. Cadillac, Truck, Fish & Puppy are the newest words that she's learned. In that order.
  10. Soon as I have unlimited time to lounge around I'll be reading a LOT more. I love to read books/magazines of all kinds but in reality 60% of my reading is all the car magazines I get. (like 7 right now) Then there's the other 40%, a mix of all things online (75% of that being here on C&G)
  11. New Hudson Avatar: To go with my new vintage Postcard sig. (curtesy of Buick-59.com)
  12. Sorry... not so funny any more. Hip dysplasia sucks. :(
  13. Camino: Please tell everyone how impressed you were wiht the Datsun when I gave you a ride in that little sardine can. I think the car is quite lovable & you have to admit, if you poured Mobil 1 all over your rear tires, disconected the #7 & #8 spark plugs and poured Grape juice into your gas tank my Datsun just might beat your GTO in the 1/4 mile... well, almost. Maybe. On a cool day in Oct. with a New Moon & at above 4000ft elevation conditions.... if you promissed to start in 4th gear.
  14. Did he get a nose-job? Tummy-tuck? Botox? Why does he NOT still look like that? "P Oaky but seriously I'm off to go buy a scratch ticket. Ever since I saw this Gorgeous LeSabre Flying Wing Delta Fin I've been itching to take a roadtrip out to Texas. :D
  15. Technicaly I would not fix his car. Some body shop in Maine would fix his car... they would just get paid by my insurance company and in return my insurance would be jacked up slightly (like say $600 a year) for seven years. That plus the $500 deductible would total $4700 not including fixing my Datsun's scratched bumper cover. In other words it would be A L M O S T worht it.
  16. I pointed this out to my dad when I was knee-high to a Grass Hopper. He shruged his shoulders and said GM probably doesn't care about some store that pushes vitamins.
  17. I saw a brandy-new Hybrid Civic in gray wiht Maine plates the other day. We were stuck in traffic shoulder to shoulder. Rigid looking guy was driving it in a Stuffy suit. This evil voice inside my head said to drop the clutch at like 4000rpm in the datsun and burnout sideways right into his rear quarter and then drive off yelling "Japanese cars suck!" I'm mostly kidding.
  18. Curses you, lottery indeed! ...meantime I might have to sell the Camaro with engine to afford a '59 Buick. I was hoping to keep my SBC.
  19. Here's mine: Nova one 1987 sedan 5-spd I picked up for $27 dollars off eBay. I'm serious. It was too nice to demolition derby as planned. Camaro 1968 hardtop. I'll own a 5th gen for sure! Chevelle saddly, none. Impala Came this || close to buying a '63 hardtop with a 283 & 3-on the tree Monte Carlo day late & $1 short one time when a local '72 was for sale on a guys front lawn for $2800 in great shape. El Camino I wish, not yet.
  20. Anyone ever see the VW Polo TV ad with the suicide bomber... "It's one tough little car" I know XP has seen it but I forget where I saw it, maybe BigBoys or ebaumsWorld. It was like fall of 2004.
  21. Probably some loaded up X5. Don;t get too excited.
