Well, here it is. The story of my little Crusaide down to New Jersey & Peensylvania as of last Friday. To prevent my photobucket account from maxing out in one day I've edited the pics down to a small size plus I had to pick and choose only the most relevant and interesting ones. Enjoy: Once again I'm runnig late. 4:00am Friday and I'm still only on Route 3 in Massachusetts. I'm supposed to be dropping off the package 5 min. outside of Philadelphia at 8:30am but I've got a 6 hour ride ahead of me. Three digit speeds for long stretches help to put me back on schedule. I manage to avoid arrest & police impound. Finally I met up with Courier # 2 at 9:00am. Coffee at this point is a MUST. Upset stomach be damned. (I'm alergic to the stuff) Note To Self: Philahelphia Skyline is Gorgeous. 10:45am I meet up with GM1 at his Uncle's shop. He shows me around the place and introduces me to his dad. Both of them are awsome guys. They are down to earth & treat me like an old friend. At this point just meeting up with GM1 and his Dad would have made the trip worthwhile. We talk and exchange car stories for a couple hours and they show me a pair of Gorgeous '57 Chevys out back in the garage. I'm honored to just check out these two beauties. The blue one started life as a two door 210 sedan and the Red beast is a Nomad. The two Tri-5 Chevys in the garage are not the only classic Chevys GM1 showed me. The 2dr Malibu was awsome as well but this poor guy is badly in need of some TLC. The "custom" officce chair acting as the driver's seat was esp. cool. :P GM1 gets the award for the cleanest 3800 powered 98 Regency I've ever seen! I'm not kidding, I told him if he was ever selling it to give me a ring. This car is a creampuff. At about 1:00 I said my Goodbyes to GM1 and his cool dad and I hit the road again.

Cmattson: I'm with you brother. Hopefully this will give GM some positive press, I'm usually skeptical about this kind of thing but it sounds awsome.

Please for the love of all things holy tell me you're f$%king kidding! The Ridgeline succeds as a pickup like the SSR succedes at stealing sales away from Porsche Boxters. Your living in a fantasy world if you think the Ralphstain ever had a glimer of hope in stealing away a true pickup sale.

Ocnblu: Yeah, everything is fine now, but I'm still perplexed as to WTF was wrong to begin with. You too huh? I'm real sick of it too... maybe I'll trade the beat up Volvo for a Canoe.... it would make more sense with the way my driveway looks right now. I'd love to visit you Razor, there's always next time. :) -
I wanted to vote GM but truth be told for the first time in four years I'm putting most of my miles on a non-GM car. In the past month the brakdown is as follows: '84 Datsun: 1800 miles '79 Coupe Deville: 300 miles '97 STS: 60 miles '68 Camaro: 4 miles (no I'm not kidding) :( Although in the past year (12 months) I put about 13,000 miles on my now gone '87 Fleetwood Brougham, 3,000 miles on the STS & about another 1500 miles on the Camaro, I've been driving the hell out of the Maxima. I bought it with 132,000 and it just turned 144,444 earlier today. It's not so much the practicality and good fuel economy but the fact that it's the only 5-speed (manual trans) that I own.

I'm only 26 myself but it's weird to be oldder thna average here... sometimes I still get carded for the lottery and most of the time for Booze, not that I buy any hard stuff.

Razor: you took the words right out of my mouth....

Wow, BBL that sucks. I hope the night we hung out there and ended up eating at Carabas did not somehow bring this upon you. Either way it seems like you got a cool job lined up. Gotta Run. Good luck wiht that. :)

Yup, there IS always next time. Marcia was pretty cool about the whole thing. I mean I left at 4:00am on Friday and told her I'd be back late Saturday and after all was said and done I finally pulled into my driveway in the Datsun at 9:30am monday. As KnightFan said 1200 miles in 72 hours is not very impressive driving wise, considering how many things I did and how many peoepl I met up with though I think I packed in every ounce of fun humanly possible. As of yesterday C&G was inaccesible to me due to the fact that anything I did caused an ERROR message. Couldn't post, add reply, PM... nothing. As long as this problem is solved you'll see the complete log of my trip on here shortly. :) -
Yup, that would be cool!

Yup, I met up with GM1, Blathazar, Black & Blue, Camino & Ocnblu over the course of the weekend. Got home @ 9:30am yesterday. Still beat from driving 1200 miles in three days. It was SOOO worth it. Pics. will be forthcoming. :) -

Yes, that IS true... and that'd be a crying shame! :) Well it's 3:03am Friday, got my CDs packed and a fist full of Mapquest directions so I'm off like a prom dress. As it stands I'm meeting up with GM1 early in the day, form there it's Balthazar and from there we shall see. Perhaps I'll take a look at this '59 LeSabre in NJ... it's a "3-on-the-tree" manual. :metal: As far as Ocnblu I don't have your phone number so call me at 484 - 903 - 8784 BBL (and Camino) I might end up meeting up with you guys Saturday if that's okay. I got the Okay from the family to stay over night Friday and spend some time wiht some of you guys on Saturday.... call me and we'll figure something out. Anyone else: feel free to call but keep in mind I will not have access to the Internet (or e-mail) durring my trip. Wish I had a laptop but I don't. -
WRONG! That's what we all assume. First off taht warranty is BULLSHIT. There's about threee components covered for 10/100,000 an the other 90% of the car is covered anywhere from two or more years. IN 2003 our friends Chris and Izabela bought a used '98 Kia Sephia and when it immediatel;y had tranny trouble they were told they were covered for NOTHING!!!! NOt one thing. ZIP. First off the warranty only aplies to the first (original) owner. Second the original owner? Their pasrticular problem would have been out of coverage anyway. This whole Kia/Hyundai 10/100K is a complete farse!

Sage advice right there. Or if there's coolant in the oil or vice versa then you have a blown head gasket.
-
NOt my Deville but one exactly like it (firethorn /white/white 1979 Coupe') C'mon now, where's the token Bustle Back? Love these damn things. Someday I'll make one RWD wiht a 500 caddy block or perhaps some other weird engine like a Olds. 455. :metal:

If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all! [/thumper] :AH-HA_wink:

Bummer, KF you KNOW I'd meet up with you if I could. Maybe if I win a scratch ticket on the way for like $40,000 I'll buy a Laptop, go on eBay and find an excuse to drive to Illinois. You know like a '69 Camaro or '58 Coronet that is for sale down the street from you. :D

Why is she a slut? Not every model is a slut. What bikini = Slut?

Just pull a Chrysler "Lee Iacoca" already before another brand bites the dust!

NIce Caddy tie-in SoCal. :P This this is awsome.... Amazing that they've been developing it for more than half of my lifetime. Back in 1979 when I came inot this earth the F15 was the $hit.... now it's more obsolete than my '68 Camaro. I still like the looks of the sleeker and more slender F15 but I understand that the Raptor is over all superior and the shape is very form follows function. Cool post Z28!

Latest Update: To EVERYONE I just gave out that New Hampshire Cell Phone Number; Forget it... here's the numer I'll be at today and tomorrow: 484 - 903 - 8784 Ironically it's a Pennsylvania Number. Virgin Mobil Nokia phone form a Client who said "just keep it" a few months ago. I just topped it off a few minutes ago, although I only have 180 minutes on it. Anyway it has better reception than that other Cingular number I gave out earlier today. So to one and all call me on 484 - 903 - 8784 if you want to meet up with me Friday in the New Jersey or Philadelphia area. PMs to follow. -
