  1. Ocnblu: Yeah, everything is fine now, but I'm still perplexed as to WTF was wrong to begin with. You too huh? I'm real sick of it too... maybe I'll trade the beat up Volvo for a Canoe.... it would make more sense with the way my driveway looks right now. I'd love to visit you Razor, there's always next time. :)
  2. I wanted to vote GM but truth be told for the first time in four years I'm putting most of my miles on a non-GM car. In the past month the brakdown is as follows: '84 Datsun: 1800 miles '79 Coupe Deville: 300 miles '97 STS: 60 miles '68 Camaro: 4 miles (no I'm not kidding) :( Although in the past year (12 months) I put about 13,000 miles on my now gone '87 Fleetwood Brougham, 3,000 miles on the STS & about another 1500 miles on the Camaro, I've been driving the hell out of the Maxima. I bought it with 132,000 and it just turned 144,444 earlier today. It's not so much the practicality and good fuel economy but the fact that it's the only 5-speed (manual trans) that I own.
  3. I'm only 26 myself but it's weird to be oldder thna average here... sometimes I still get carded for the lottery and most of the time for Booze, not that I buy any hard stuff.
  4. Razor: you took the words right out of my mouth....
  5. Loooks like the aborted fetus of a Honda Insight taht got knocked up by a Box van. :puke:
  6. Wow, BBL that sucks. I hope the night we hung out there and ended up eating at Carabas did not somehow bring this upon you. Either way it seems like you got a cool job lined up. Gotta Run. Good luck wiht that. :)
  7. Yup, there IS always next time. Marcia was pretty cool about the whole thing. I mean I left at 4:00am on Friday and told her I'd be back late Saturday and after all was said and done I finally pulled into my driveway in the Datsun at 9:30am monday. As KnightFan said 1200 miles in 72 hours is not very impressive driving wise, considering how many things I did and how many peoepl I met up with though I think I packed in every ounce of fun humanly possible. As of yesterday C&G was inaccesible to me due to the fact that anything I did caused an ERROR message. Couldn't post, add reply, PM... nothing. As long as this problem is solved you'll see the complete log of my trip on here shortly. :)
  8. Yup, that would be cool!
  9. Yup, I met up with GM1, Blathazar, Black & Blue, Camino & Ocnblu over the course of the weekend. Got home @ 9:30am yesterday. Still beat from driving 1200 miles in three days. It was SOOO worth it. Pics. will be forthcoming. :)
  10. Love it! (WMJ knows my taste!)
  11. Yes, that IS true... and that'd be a crying shame! :) Well it's 3:03am Friday, got my CDs packed and a fist full of Mapquest directions so I'm off like a prom dress. As it stands I'm meeting up with GM1 early in the day, form there it's Balthazar and from there we shall see. Perhaps I'll take a look at this '59 LeSabre in NJ... it's a "3-on-the-tree" manual. :metal: As far as Ocnblu I don't have your phone number so call me at 484 - 903 - 8784 BBL (and Camino) I might end up meeting up with you guys Saturday if that's okay. I got the Okay from the family to stay over night Friday and spend some time wiht some of you guys on Saturday.... call me and we'll figure something out. Anyone else: feel free to call but keep in mind I will not have access to the Internet (or e-mail) durring my trip. Wish I had a laptop but I don't.
  12. WRONG! That's what we all assume. First off taht warranty is BULLSHIT. There's about threee components covered for 10/100,000 an the other 90% of the car is covered anywhere from two or more years. IN 2003 our friends Chris and Izabela bought a used '98 Kia Sephia and when it immediatel;y had tranny trouble they were told they were covered for NOTHING!!!! NOt one thing. ZIP. First off the warranty only aplies to the first (original) owner. Second the original owner? Their pasrticular problem would have been out of coverage anyway. This whole Kia/Hyundai 10/100K is a complete farse!
  13. Sage advice right there. Or if there's coolant in the oil or vice versa then you have a blown head gasket.

NOt my Deville but one exactly like it (firethorn /white/white 1979 Coupe') C'mon now, where's the token Bustle Back? Love these damn things. Someday I'll make one RWD wiht a 500 caddy block or perhaps some other weird engine like a Olds. 455. :metal:
  15. Giggety-Giggety!! :P

If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin' at all! [/thumper] :AH-HA_wink:
  17. Bummer, KF you KNOW I'd meet up with you if I could. Maybe if I win a scratch ticket on the way for like $40,000 I'll buy a Laptop, go on eBay and find an excuse to drive to Illinois. You know like a '69 Camaro or '58 Coronet that is for sale down the street from you. :D
  18. Why is she a slut? Not every model is a slut. What bikini = Slut?
  19. Just pull a Chrysler "Lee Iacoca" already before another brand bites the dust!
  20. NIce Caddy tie-in SoCal. :P This this is awsome.... Amazing that they've been developing it for more than half of my lifetime. Back in 1979 when I came inot this earth the F15 was the $hit.... now it's more obsolete than my '68 Camaro. I still like the looks of the sleeker and more slender F15 but I understand that the Raptor is over all superior and the shape is very form follows function. Cool post Z28!
  21. Latest Update: To EVERYONE I just gave out that New Hampshire Cell Phone Number; Forget it... here's the numer I'll be at today and tomorrow: 484 - 903 - 8784 Ironically it's a Pennsylvania Number. Virgin Mobil Nokia phone form a Client who said "just keep it" a few months ago. I just topped it off a few minutes ago, although I only have 180 minutes on it. Anyway it has better reception than that other Cingular number I gave out earlier today. So to one and all call me on 484 - 903 - 8784 if you want to meet up with me Friday in the New Jersey or Philadelphia area. PMs to follow.
  22. BBL: I'm calling as I type this. :)
  23. That's the beauty of giving people choice: 2 RWD coupes that look completely different and have a differnt visual feel and yet share 90% of their comopnents: -72 year old Mr. Geezer down the street is happy wiht his traditional looking LS w/ the Landau Roof... -19 year old Billy Leadfoot is happy wiht his "sleek" SS, trick wheels and flashy graphics. Today GM says "Screw choice, let's just shove a bunch of FWD cars down peoples throats... unless they have enough money to afford a GTO, CTS or Vette...." The 80s were not perfect and technology was creeping along slowly in terms of performance but damn for the poor enthusiast it was still better than today's GM. <_<
  24. No Guilt trips, :o it's bad enough I still have not seen that Monte Carlo Fleet of yours... trust me it will happen in the future... perhaps we can plan it in the next year so that one of my roadtrips conincides wiht yours and we'll meet half way. That'd be neat. :) BV: *TWITCH* All Honda fans must die! *SPAZM* I'm doing God's work, if I get pulled over by a cop and he opens the trunk and sees all those bodies he'll understand. And if he's a Honda lover too I'll stuff him into the trunk. I've got enough Cement & Duct tape for allyas! :D All joking aside I remember meeting up wiht a Corvette enthusiast in the middle of Boston right by where Boston Garden used to be. He sent an email requesting some Garaphic Design work related to his Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Ragop. I had a feeling the end result was going to be made into a Law & Order episode. He ended up being really cool, we had lunch and talked about his Corvette, and his wife, I talked about School and my aspiration to own a classic Musclecar. Nothing weird. And besides I've already met BBL, and he's more likely to be a psycho than any of you folks. :P That kid's tall and he could stuff you into the back of his Jeep and hide you places a Police Excursion or Tahoe will never be able to get.
  25. 3 miles wide, I thouhgt they only got as wide as like 1/4 mile or whatever....
