  1. Yup... true enough I just never seem to find the time. Always too busy chasing down '79 Cadillacs and '84 Datsuns. :P I'd love to check it out: [email protected] :)
  2. A few weks ago my buddy Ross introduced me to this awsome website. This guy calls himself Mister Jalopy and he's awsome. Almost like a modern day hero in a comic book kind of way. Wacked out and scatter brained but in the coolest way possible. Really spend some time and poke around the site. He's a madman. I need to have a website like this... no real specific topic just a bunch or random cars I work on and "useless" junk I collect that I consider treasure, documented roadtrips to "exotic" locations like some hidden treasure speedshop. Seriously, check it out. One of the best websites I have ever seen! http://www.hooptyrides.com/
  3. I'd be all about it if I was into MP3s already but ever since MiniDisks I've been at a standstill. I ned to get with the (MP3) program I suppose.
  4. Enzora beat me to it!!!
  5. Hell yeah! Kappa is flexible as GM wants it to be. Waht lie adding 7" to the wheelbase, a fixed roof and four doors is so complicated?
  6. Krist. GM must be itching to flush the Buick Division down the shitter. Could they try any LESS?!
  7. LA: Sure.... in any case a sick inline6. How about a motor out of a totaled last gen. BMW M3. I don't know I love mix and matching stuff... like the guy wiht the VW Golf Mk2, he stuffed a Northstar between the fenders. Or that nutcase with the Lexus DOHC V8 in a '34 Ford. As far as Cheif you know he's a cool guy. I'd just be afraid of him crushing my hand during the handshake. I'm a fan of the real manly firm handshake upon meetig someone, but this dude is like a Seqoia tree. :o :)
  8. Well, most MODERN cars.
  9. wow, never heard that before. strange. Remember like 5 years ago when all these magazines were reporting that Corvette was going to break off from Chevy and be it's own brand with several sports cars, coupes & sedans. I was convinced someone at MT/GM or both was doing Crystal Meth.
  10. Dollar Store? get it right... it was at Building 19! (will anyone outside of N.E. know WTF I'm talking about?)
  11. All roads lead to the Simpsons!

    w00t!

    That's the MELODY to funky town! Beep-beep-Beep-beep-BEEP, Booop-boop-beep BEEP-boop.
  14. LA: you KNOW I'd love to meet up with you and hang out. We have similar tastes in the bizzare. How about I pull up to your house in a '56 Safari wiht a trailer hitch to which a car trailer is attached with a 1982 Supra. We'd hop in that bad boy Poncho-nomad and tow the Supra to Bonneville Salt Lake Flats. YEAH! :metal: Knight fan: You said it buddy. Get in and drive. :)
  15. Hardtops are ancient history for he American Auto industry Tail fins peek in 1959, never to return again. 40mpg is a big deal... like the old Nash Metropolitan can't almost pull that off FWD is by far the predominant way ot manufacture vehicles. *shudders* Not only are Quad headlights fair game but HIDs are 100% legal while blue dots are grounds for a "improper equiptment" traffic fine from an uptight cop. Fuelie '57 Chevys are worth twice the cost of a top of the line Deville Cadillac cars compete more closely with Mercedes and BMW than with Lincoln Cadillac makes trucks, even a pickup. Oldsmobile is no more Plymouth is no more AMC is no more Packard is no more Not one turbine car to be found for any price Supposedly patriotic Americans buy Japanese, German & Korean cars like hotcakes.
  16. The car's fault? C'mon now. This aint like KITT where someone accidentally hit the turbo-boost toggle switch. :P
  17. No ABS, no big deal... malfunctioning ABS: BIG DEAL. My buddy Alex has his S10 Blazer 2rd lock up the ABS in the on "setting" in otherwords the brakes cut out completely. He was about to rear end a small car and panicked... he did the right thing though, sent the car inot the woods and then BAM right against a stone wall and medium sized tree. The airbags went off wiht such force that the CD player poped out of the dashboard. His face got burned by the airbag and he was a bit stiff but otherwise the truck took the hit without any intrusion to the cabin. Another reason why I don't think Blazers are total deathtraps. The truck was totaled though. That's when he bought the Exporer off yours Trully at Bill DeLuca Chevy and imediately regreted it. He wanted a decent Blazer to replace it with but we didn't have even one on the lot that he liked or could afford. That black Ford Explorer ended up being such a POS. He still ribs ne for selling him hat truck. He was all you're a Chevy guy, I'm a Chevy guy... why do you think I should buy a freekin Explorer? My argument was that it was in very good shpe and cheap as hell. Of course a few months after he bought it the Firestone debacle happened and the truck dropped in value by like $5000.
  18. Well, with some of the dumb $hit I've done behind the wheel of a car I'd say I'm failing that test. The day I spun out my Camaro into a guardrail in the rain I felt like such a dumb prick. Should have never driven the car that day. :(
  19. Yup, and he (Brad) has both, as a matter of fact he lent me his steel line cutting tool and some line when the fuel lines on the Suburban (that he sold me) rotted out. He's just a tad busy with life in general. His mom died about two years ago and then he got married and just two weeks ago they welcomed a little daughter inot the world. (which reminds me we still have not sent a card!) Anyway he's got a huge barn in the back of his house that has three floors, the lower floor has only one entrance accesible from the back, the doors were so overgrown with poison ivy and some other big ivy that he had to take a chain saw to them. He says I can have (as in for free) a early 80s Thunderbird thats sitting in there and has not seen the light of day in about 8 years. It last ran in the mid 90s and the trans was sliping already. I, being a crackpot that I am was like Sure I'll take it! :P He also has a late 60s/early 70s Dune Buggy in there and a bunch of other stuff that he barelly remembers. Right now in his back yard is his brohter's AWD Celica turbo... Brad's AMC Concord and his newest 'project': an early 80s AMC SX4. It's in rough shape but drivable. Talk about cool neighbors. Plus his dad is like 81 years old and served in WWII. He was one of the first US "special ops" guys, trained by the UK's special ops. Never talks about it but Brad has told me some stories. I guess watching Saving Private Ryan was a bit too much for him. He kept walking out of the room.
  20. Look at those panel gaps... my buddy's '57 Chevy has tighter panel gaps than this POS. Plus overall the fit and finish is much superior as is the interior layout.
  21. This is the one from last year.... I screwed up the nose royally. You can kind of tell though I was going after the Japanese warrior mask look. Xcept I gave him cat eyes... :P
  22. LOL :P Well, my thatnks for the compliments.... I just free hand them, I like the raw element of just taking a knife and going at it after some basic crayon work to sort out the layout. Thsi year for the first time I bought one of those silly "carving kits" and the damn teeny-weeny saw broke on me. Stupid POS. So once again I used the filet knife like the past 4 years. Last year I did an okay one and the year before I did a cat. I love Jack-O-Lanterns. Ocnblu: Yeah Sofia was busy grabbing the guts and examining them in her fingers going Oooohhhhh, and Wowwww! TYD: Hey, a rear wheel biased AWD sedan of aluminum constrction with a powerful V8 engine is not an insulting car to be nicknamed after. :D
  23. Cool, we'll just talk about the first thing that 'pops up'.... Sorry couldn't resist, it was the perfect setup.
  24. I once said that I like 99.9% of RWD cars if only for the fact that I could drop in a SBC in less than two hours given the right equiptment. Wel consider this the 0.1% that I'd never touch wiht a ten foot pole. I wouldn't drive this thing even with BV steerig and Satty shifting gears. I think Fly nailed it.
  25. Sell it here but giveit some distinct styling, headlights, tail lights and fascias... Geez, people used to complain about the Cavalier/Sunbird and Cavalier/Sunfire, this makes those look like they're worlds appart. The name G4 sucks even more than G6. <_<
