I need to know how to clear out all codes from a Genie screw drive garage door opener. I want to disable all existing garage door remotes. I know how to add new ones, I just want to be sure that other ones are disabled.

any of you following today's events should understand why....

I've been at work all day...so why?

(and sorry I don't know how...we open our garage the old fashioned way)

Take off the lense. On the left side of the panel, there will be a "Learn Code Button". Press and hold it for 10 seconds or until the radio signal light goes out. Now you have to reprogram all your existing remotes.

Problems with the Ex... and his opinion that he should be able to walk into my house whenever he pleases.

thank you. trying now.

Glad to help out. I can't seem to find one of my remotes, and I need to do the same thing.

Well, it at least you didn't run over yours....

Then again, I didn't have to worry about resetting it either.....

Picture it: the wayward Chas whipping into the driveway, routinely pressing the remote, bumping the car into the garage door because he cannot get stopped in time. It's raining. He sits in the car, repeatedly pressing the remote to no avail (is the power out?). Incensed, he gets out of the car with the remote, almost pressing the button through the device. Finally, he bursts out bawling, he throws the remote to the ground and starts banging on the garage door. He's soaking wet, his mascara is running, his hair in his eyes, he cries and falls to the ground.

Meanwhile, Drew is lounging in his living room with his hot new friend. Hearing the faint banging, they whisper to each other "is that thunder?", and take another sip of champagne.

He left. He should not feel he can come in and out as he pleases to your home. What is he thinking? He made his choice. Go open the door of the garage of his 68 year old new friend.

I see I missed all the excitement... But I did get to read Ocn's post...

I guess gays should get equal rights under the law - the breakups seem to be the same! Sorry to hear you have an ex that has become a stalker...having a really really hard time with the whole 68 year old replacement though - WTF??? Straight or gay, that is just WRONG!

Glad to see the C & G forum had the technical know-how to get your door reprogrammed and you secure at home.

He's not a stalker, he's trying to avoid me as much as possible...especially after 45 minutes of me going off on him yesterday.

No, he's just trying to get his stuff that he's left at my house for 6 months and is now worried that I'm going to do something bad with it........ perhaps he knows me too well.... :AH-HA_wink:

I have access to several hundred pounds of chicken poop and a Fed-Ex account. Hit me up. :AH-HA_wink:

:rotflmao:

Not really. I live on a small poultry farm and people like to use it as fertilizer.

 Espoma composts it, bags it up, and calls it Plantone.
