5 mpg?

Posted (edited)

Would anyone believe me if I said the Cutlass hasn't seen speeds higher than 70 mph? :P

I did finally the break the rear wheels lose without the help of water or gravel, though. I didn't think it was possible with all the more power it has.

Yup, that's the electronic speed limiter. GM trucks are set at 100, I think, or thereabouts. Fords are set lower... I had heard about this, but found out firsthand on the Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike. :AH-HA_wink:

Damn computers! I've had mine my Av up to 100 before the long arm of the software pushed my right foot back up.

A conestoga wagon? I would like to own that horse. What a shame about George Washington.

Besides your well being, in a worst case scenario what would an Avalanche going 100+ do to the people riding in a Cobalt or Corolla?

Thanks for sharing.

As someone who owns a Corvette (not a Z-06) and a GMT900, I can tell you that the Av had good feel at 100 mph, not like the Corvette, but I wasnt afraid at such speeds.
