New Mercedes CLK Spyshots

The lens jockeys at KGP have managed to snag us a darn good look at the upcoming 2009 Mercedes Benz CLK. While we've seen the shape of the car before we haven't seen the new split-design headlights and the very bizarre trunk lid design. According to our spies, that headlight styling will be migrating across the Benzie lineup and acting as the new snake eyes for the E-class next. What we're not so sure about is the butt-end of this thing. The Germans may be having a tail war.

So......... Who's gonna start the OMG ItZ a PiLLarL3ss C4R jokes? :smilewide:

No wanting to sound like Captain Obvious here, but I have a feeling that trunklid is camoed... I think the interesting bit is how the split headlights will look like. Isn't that split headlight design supposed to be the new MB face for the E-Series as well?

Now THAT is my why Germans kick @$$!

(the ones who are not busy working on Mercedes coupes, not FWD junkboxes)

It's covered in 200 lbs. of camouflage, sooooo I'm pretty sure you're not

seeing much of anything , esp. the shape of the headlights.

Yea- I don't get making specific assumptions about cars wrapped like mummies: the 'split' in the headlights is part of the camo- what are they seeing that I'm not that tells them the lense is going to be split??

While we're here- what was the model/year span for the mercedes' 'peanut' headlight- that was distinctive (if not particularly graceful), but it came & went.
