1971/2, When Cars were not appliances and/or politically correct billboards of liberal stint.

A "Hybrid" meant you dropped a 396 & M22 out of a totaled '67 Chevelle SS into a chopped

'41 Willys 5-window coupe. And Toyota/Honda was KNOWN by the public, as most things

"MADE IN JAPAN", to be inferior junk!

Cupholders, airbags, HID headlights, extra thick plastic-covered B-pillar, HD/XM radio, did we mention CUPHOLDERS!?

This fellow has a lot of other interesting road tests on his You Tube site - a 1969 Impala with a 396 2 bbl (0 to 60 in 13.7 seconds), a 1969 LTD with a 428, a 1973 Cutlass 455, a 1971 Cutlass 442 with 455, and many others.

Perfect sequence: Riv going thru the turn (58 sec ~ 1:04). Great, also, to hear that BB Buick roar- Buick's haven't snarled like that... since there were Buick engines...

Just watched the '63 Galaxie vs. Impala- and tho they didn't tell any accel times, by watching the flagman shrink to a spec as quick as he did; both these "top-engine" cars were flat hauling ass (1:24 & 1:45 sec)... info says 406 & 409 V-8... 4bbl 409 Impala was good for 0-60 in around 6.6 sec. Wonder how much quicker 427 cars would've appeared.
