Did you stop, exchange information, etc.? He should be paying for this. If you didn't stop, it's too late now...

I think this would be a suit in small claims, not an insurance issue... Plus I think you would need some evidence; otherwise it's just your word against his.

Um, no. There is no need to go to small claims immediately, usually just stopping and exchanging information at the time of the incident would suffice...but as I said, if there wasn't a stop and exchange, then it's too late for that.

Unfortunately, we didn't realize how bad of a hit it took until we arrived home. I was expecting maybe a little ding. Insurance will cover it, but had I known, I definitely would have stopped.

When I drive by somebody mowing next to the road, I always cringe. Sorry this happened, Vipes.

Oddly enough. I was just thinking of that exact situation a few miles down the road as I passed another person mowing their lawn. Lo and behold, it happened.
