How will your current car be remembered?

Recommended Posts

Hmm... my Breeze...I believe it will be remembered as the spacious but still compact "Cab-Forward" car. The one that best reflects my values in an automobile.

As a car with one of the crappiest paint jobs ever.

Oh, and some nice low-end torque, a soft ride, but inaccurate fuel and speedo gauges.

My Regal is known as "The Pimpmobile." It is silver with a burgundy colored cloth interior.

I'd give my right testicle (well, maybe not) for another burgundy interior, though I don't see that as happening any time soon. The color provides a comforting feeling from the inside of the car looking out and it's great to be driving it through forested areas on an overcast day waiting for a coffee place to crop up.

Cool. Isn't great how we, the (technical) loyalists of a brand can see that out autos are good, while others just don't understand?

Oh, and, my air conditioning? Freaking awesome.

Your question assumes the Mach 5 won't last forever... 8):metal:

She's doing her darndest at lasting forever, that's for sure, turning 240k this week. I'd have to say she'll be remembered as the GTP that would never say "die", utterly fearless and always there to get me out of a jam- or into one.

Raced other cars on Ashland Ave. on Chicago's north side at 3am; drove almost 400-mile round trips every weekend for over a year to see my girlfriend/now-wife; drove that wife to the hospital to have our first baby daughter; drove to my mother's side at 2am that sad September morning when my father died; drove from Chicago to CA and back one glorious November.

She was my first new car, and as long as I can replace or weld whatever breaks I'll hang on to her. Maybe that'll be her legancy: making herself so very memorable that I would move heaven and Earth to keep her around another mile. Not many cars make people feel that way.:heart:

My CTS will be remembered as:

My first non V8 car.

Fun to drive.

Bought in May of 2002, it was fun to park near car shows and watch people come over to look at it.

Caused one neighbor, my wife's boss and two friends to buy CTS's. (I'm a leader, not a follower.)

The car that started my internet searches for "Car Oriented" web sites.

The car that I owned before my Next Gen CTS.

My 95 GAGT.... The car that was fun and stylish that I bought unwillingly after the big "Fiero Letdown". Also as the one that always found a way to get on my nerves, especially when it wanted to be a bitch. Bought it around the beginning of 05 where it sat in my garage until July. Got my license around August and started driving it. Put 3000 miles onto it up until November, when it decided to be a bitch. As of now, it sits in my garage with the engine torn apart. We can't find anything wrong with it. The headgasket doesn't look blown, the head looks fine, and the cylinders and rod bearings are fine. It's all a big mystery...
