  1. You're simply a troll. Cadillac offering more space for the price is a feature, not a bug.

  2. Neat Olds...I prefer the '71 styling, though.

  3. Body color sounds better...or maybe they should embrace the cheese and chrome it up, do a Camaro LTZ trim.

  5. Fact check: Alfa has always been more of a sporting brand, rather than luxury. Maserati is FCA's luxury brand. And Alfa left the US in the 90s, not the 70s...

  6. Maybe one of my favorite lines ever in a song...that resonates so much with me as I get older. Another line by Mellencamp I also like is 'little pink houses for you and me'---a variation of that was my mantra in my house hunting in 2016, but it was 'little brick suburban houses for you and me'....

  7. It seems the Cruze, Malibu, and Spark weren't the only cars that got enhanced for 2019. Today, Chevrolet revealed the 2019 Camaro which has gotten a number of changes. The most apparent change is a new face. Chevrolet has added various aerodynamic elements and new LED headlights to have the LS/LT, RS, and SS models stand apart. The RS Appearance Package features a reshaped black grille and lower chrome inserts. SS models get additional LED lighting, two-piece grille design, and the new 'flowtie' air intake emblem on a black crossbar. It's different to say in the least. We'll leave it to you to decide whether it is better. Other exterior changes include LED taillights, specific diffusers on RS and SS models with the dual-mode exhaust, and new wheel designs. Changes for the interior are minor with new ambient lighting options, a choice of a 7- or 8-inch touchscreen with the brand new Chevrolet Infotainment 3 software, and a rear camera mirror coming standard on the 2SS and ZL1 models. New for 2019 is the Turbo 1LE model. Taking the 2.0L turbo-four (275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque), Chevrolet pairs it up with a six-speed manual, FE3 suspension (larger stabilizer bars, specifically tuned dampers, and stiffer bushings and ball joints), Brembo brake package, and new Track Mode and Competition Mode settings. Interestingly, Chevrolet benchmarked the Turbo 1LE model against the likes of the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf R. SS models get the option of a 10-speed automatic. The 2019 Camaro arrives at Chevrolet dealers later this year. 8. In all fairness to them, Jaguar was supposed to be a sedan and sports car line, while Land Rover built the SUVs, but people want sporty, performance oriented crossovers now, and Land Rover still has that off road vibe, even with the Velar and Evoque and some attempts to change that. They for sure now need a 3 row crossover, with the SVR trim or whatever they have decided their performance model to be.

  9. The black bumper version reminds me of the '19 Silverado and the current Charger. Of the 3 current coupes, I'd go for a Challenger..the styling appeals to me the most of the 3, it's the biggest inside, I like the interior and UConnect, and has a sunroof available, and I can see out of it better than the Camaro and Mustang. With the Mustang, I would consider a convertible. I drove Fox Mustangs for 15 years, but the current one just doesn't appeal to me that much...don't know why. With any of them, I'd want a V8.

  10. I know Drew loves molasses-slow Oldsmobiles ( ) but man could this be a killer 'run for the money' machine! Police-package akin to the Toronado GT powertrain, 390 HP 455 car. One-hand-behind-back simple to build this to 500+ HP. Go cruise and take people's money all day (even that mercedes they show beating a top fuel dragster in a straight line). https://www.ebay.com/itm/123066417340?ul_noapp=true

  11. My GM purchase would definitely be a truck. Nothing else really does it for me over the competition. I enjoy Caddys a lot but I don't think I'd buy one over a Mercedes if I were actually spending my own cash.

  14. We were really underwhelmed by the new regal. I have autotrader searches out for Certified '17 GSes instead. Typically finding them for ~$24k with 15k on the odometer.

  16. It's not that I love them slow, it's that I don't care about speed as much as looks... particularly when my roads look like this. I've talked you to a bunch of times about engine upgrade options for my molasses Olds.

  20. Luckily there's an easy fix.. Don't buy a Malibu with the 1.5 next time. Also, make sure you take it for a good test drive because that also would have prevented this.

  21. This would be returned to bone stock body-wise, but I agree about the 500 hp part, as long as it is stealthy about it.

  22. Why would anyone buy an Accord when they can buy a CR-V or a Pilot instead these days? Then again, GM wants us to buy more Chevy CUVs for one reason: the search for more money.

  23. Not sure if anyone makes something with a low enough seat. Plus, one critical safety aspect of motorcycling is noise. It is hard enough dealing with 4 wheelers who miss you in their mirrors, or WINDSHIELDS, let alone if I were riding something silent. Silent bike = no thanks. The Urals are cool, I like those.

  24. Maybe GM wants all of us to buy the crossovers rather than the sedans, since the firm makes more profits that way. I would rather have an Envision or an XT5, but if I were to go Chevy, the Impala is the best choice (for me). As for the smaller cars, it is obvious why Chevy is using the same front-end look: $$$$$.

  25. CVTs are only any decent when there is some relatively good low end torque. The 1.5T isn't spectacular in that regard. The only Chevy I like with that face is the Traverse.

  26. ?? The Accord has a 1.5T and CVT. So it's not like they're going to get a different transmission there. I assume it is a cost thing. CVTs are cheap and they're great for fuel economy. The 9-speed has got to be an expensive piece of machinery. Altima, Accord, Legacy, and now Malibu are all using CVTs.

  27. I've been wanting to start this section for a while and never got around to it. This thread is for general motorcycle discussion. Feel free to add additional discussions to this forum for other motorcycle new/topics/etc as you see fit. Eventually, I plan to add news coverage and expand the section further.

  28. Piecing together the various messaging coming out. I would expect the halo vehicle to be a large crossover / SUV, probably called Escala. Look for the interior to be a productionized version of the Escala concept. One thing to note about the recent news that "Escala" is going into production. No one ever said it would be a car. I could be, it might not be.

  29. This just looks so much worse than what they currently have... I've already seen a photoshop job where they used body color for the black grille area and it looks much better. The bow tie on the bumper instead of the grille looks turrible.
