  1. That's the hardest part about reviewing cars these days. They're all so good at what they do that most comments we have on them boil down to nit-picking. It's really rare to get a car that is truly bad for the class... and these days even a Corolla has 98% of the safety tech that a Benz has.. Sometimes even more because the Corolla comes with it standard.

  2. Was judged 953 points out of 1000. Only thing I see that seems non-stock is the chrome center caps. Up for auction at Barret-Jackson.

  3. Silverado outside mirrors, a roof bulge, and a periscope would make the Camaro more drivable for you..;)

  4. Those first two pics were an actual Charger concept car from 20 years ago, the 2nd pics are some randos idea, not anything FCA.

  5. In the interview he said he's only smoked weed a few times. I think he worded it as "almost never". I don't know how he does it either. I actually really enjoyed the interview because he really is just an insanely smart guy. You could tell he's a socially awkward person but he's a genius. His companies come about when a genius has money to follow through with their ideas. Weed isn't federally legal but it is legal in the state that he was in so I don't see the issue with it.

  6. I thought in 2 door cars that was the only thing the rear seat was good for little kids. Thanks for running out with the rugrats and showing us this!

  7. I regularly judge this twit for other things. Weed is not one.

  8. I prefer the looks of the A5/S5 Sportback after seeing one regularly in our neighbourhood, but these are a little more practical. Anyways nice to have another "sportback" sedan combing available.

  9. I was sure I saw them on the road in France in August. They are very sharp cars.

  10. Holy smokes are both of those beautiful. I would absolutely take that leather package if I were to be in the market for this car. Do true GT's really get much better than this?

  11. So true, Driving is a skill you have to pay attention too and not one to rely on computers. So many need to put their shit down and pay attention to the road. After all, it is a Privilege earned not a right to drive.

  14. It certainly didn't stop Dell from buying EMC and as I recall Dell had to change their drug testing policy because most of the EMC executives and employees couldn't pass it.

  15. I liked the awkwardness..proof he is a human and not a cyborg. I think like too many startup founders, he takes on too much of the day-to-day operations and planning himself and doesn't delegate to experienced leaders enough. Successful companies are not one-man operations. Couple that with what appears to be ADHD and new-idea-every-minute thinking seems to work against him.

  18. i do think older BOF SUV's if you can find good ones are good investments. I still regret not at least looking into a Tahoe back a few years ago. It was like a 5 year old but with 140,000 on it but looked like new inside and out. That's one i likely would have lost little money on over time. part of the discussion on expense of vehicles these days has to talk about those who buy the luxury brands and spend twice as much for what they can get with other brands. That's a topic that can be debated all day. But where i work some of the 'ups' (and in particular the women) drive Volvo Audi SUV etc. Everyone has a right to get what they like and need. But honestly a 60-70k Volvo or Audi crossover isn't going to do something 4x better than a GMC Acadia...... Americans spend lots of $$$ for brand elitism....

  19. Motivation, stamina, being a dreamer with a practical side, maybe? I've never been motivated strictly by money...and I know my physical and mental limits..I burn out from working too many hours...I can't do 60-90hr weeks like I could do when I was younger.. or the kind of single focus obsessive lifestyle I've experienced in PhD life or startups..

  20. Same reason I grew up in 4x4 wagons (Suburu GL and Dodge Colt Vista)... we were always out camping and such. The "wilds" of NJ where we went weren't enough to warrant a Suburban, but if we really needed to get somewhere the Colt Vista couldn't, my dad's F250 could do it. That said, my dad couldn't help taunting a show-off Wrangler driver who was on a lightweight off-road course. Put the Colt Vista into 4WD and started following him around the course with 2 kids in carseats in the back.

  21. Probably the most true thing you have said in 10 years of reading your posts. BRAVO! ....and going to get more import heavy. Peoples buying habits are not going to change. ...and shutter the plants. Agreed. if it flies F#$%@ or floats....you are better off renting it. True for race cars, true for regular cars.
