  1. Updated with Mercedes and Genesis I usually just pick whoever sends me a press release with a photo first.

  2. I hate Halloween. Nobody comes around anymore. That part is good. However, you can't go to a customer service counter, library, or reception desk without having candy from a plastic orange pumpkin given to you. I think I've eaten about 15 or 20 candy bar minis by now. It's hardly health food.

  3. @Drew Dowdell out of all the pics you have to use, did you have to pick one of the ugliest lux CUV's out there? ? That now even more exaggerated spindle grille is just...?

  4. The French made the Italians scrap the mid-engined Alfa Romeo 8C in order for this merger to happen is how I understand this whole thing. Knowing that the French always loved the Dodge Viper, here is hoping that the Americans and the French will come to together again like with the |Revolutionary wars and give us a mid-engined Dodge Viper instead!

  5. Thanks, although the article is wrong about GM V8's all being assembled in Mexico. The GM Tonawanda powertrain plant in NY has been assembling the V8's for some time and they have the contract for the 2019 5.3L and 6.2L engines. It's a pretty high tech. plant too. ???? http://gmauthority.com/blog/2018/05/2019-silverado-v8-engines-gm-selects-tonawanda-plant-to-produce-5-3l-and-6-2l-mills/

  6. I do like inline 6s. Had really good experiences with 3 of them—Jeep 4.0, BMW 3.2 and Mercedes 3.0. It’s nice to see them having a mini revival with Mercedes and others. I’d love to see a new inline 6 from FCA for future Jeeps. I think my folks had at least one car with an inline 6 before I was born...an early 60s Ford Fairlane wagon when my older siblings were kids.

  7. They spend a billion on that platform, they're not going to just throw it away when Georgio, and the LX, and the Maseratis are the only RWD car platforms in all of PSA and FCA combined. I think they'll spread Georgio around as much as they can to recup their costs on it.

  8. I would not be surprised with the merger if this brand name dies again in the next 10 years. It should have never been brought back. Just left in the history books. Current product is so unreliable. Italians need to stick to boats and cloths, auto's is not their strength.

  9. Thank you for your input on this, I was actually not thinking that the LX platform auto's would survive, just the Dealership names of Dodge and Chrysler with rebadge of PSA auto's having those badges on them. I disagree, there is no evidence that a D or C badge on a Pugeot or Opel would not sell here. I would expect those divisions to add a bit of American flair anyways to a P or O platform auto being sold under those names.

  10. Keep in mind that none of Peugeot's, Citroen's, and Opel's current models, except for the Regal, are legal for sale in the US. They can't just rebadge them and sell them here. They don't meet US regs. PSA will have a bunch of work to do on their next refreshes to get them legal enough to rebadge for the states. I would expect that FCA's current plans for the next 2 - 3 years will remain completely unchanged with the possible exception that Fiat brand possibly exits North America. That means, the next Charger would still be on Guilia platform.
