  1. Snow stopped overnight. 30 and sunny, supposed to get to 39 this afternoon. Measured 15 inches off the back patio and front driveway..drifts larger. Used the snowblower a bit, it gets bogged down in a foot or more of snow. Was a heavy wet snow. Did some shoveling, got the Jeep out and made some passes back and forth to knock down some of the snow in the driveway. Cleared it enough for the Amazon deliveries and USPS...

  2. Google brings up many renderings...could be nice. The red one appears to be the current Charger front stuck on the old Magnum body, seen pics of several of these that have been done in 1:1, even seen a couple w/ Challenger fronts. The 2nd rendering is a wagon w/ the current Charger lower bodysides..

  12. Thoughtful discussion, the mention the need for Batteries and battery technology....they point out that we spend more on Potato chips than we do on battery technology in the USA...more investment is needed....

  13. I think you miss understand me. Yes electronics and controls have been around since the 70's. The 70's, 80's and even 90's are very basic simple electronic controls. Starting in 2000 and since then, we have seen actual computers take over larger and larger management of ICE auto's and with Tesla leadership, we saw a rapid change away from basic controllers to full fledge computers that have in depth coding and encryption to the point that GM rolled out a single solid Terabyte system for their auto's starting with Cadillac. Ford is now doing it as is everyone else trying to catch up. You see thousands of new job openings at all Auto companies and these are for true computer developers. Not just basic electrical engineers or mechanical engineers which are still very much needed. The future as we move forward with EVs will incorporate secure, encrypted locked down computer operating systems.

  15. One reason I really like living further south. I70 seems to be a dividing line here....up in Delaware or Northern Franklin county, we can ahve an inch or inch and a half of snow. South of I70, it can be clear.

  19. It's not new; coding & electronics in autos have been around for 40 years. Yes; there will always be issues with vehicles, and more & more complex (and some would argue; unnecessary) electronics will keep that fire burning... forever.

  29. There's a Sierra in transit listed @ $48.1K, tho it's 180 miles from me. I sat in a '19 Silverado last year... but I haven't driven one of these yet... and I'd REALLY like to test a TD out. I looked at Ram's site a few times, but they are more expensive relative to GMs. Ford ties the diesel into elevated packages/trims I don't need.

  30. Seems Tesla now with their crazy stock value is open to discussions on merging with other auto companies. ? Let the crazy stories begin on who would be merger candidates. Elon Musk: Tesla (TSLA) is open to merging with automakers - Electrek For the most conservative of states on the west coast, Oregon continues to surprise me in moving forward as they build out massive 5 Megawatt rapid chargers for semi trucks. This is supposedly to help Daimler support their customers who are buying the eCascade electric semi truck. 200 miles of recharge in 80 min. Portland and Daimler team up for 5MW electric semi public charging 'Island' - Electrek

  31. Still does not deter me from EVs being the future. I do believe that the electronics and coding is a new world for the OEMs to deal with and will have their normal bugs. I am hoping that Rivian and Hummer by GMC can come out at a much higher quality level when released. I am excited for the Rivian auto's to start getting delivered next Summer and hearing what people think of their new Truck.
