I'd take a loaded Telluride over the XT6. Thats how far down the list the XT6 would be for me, to the point that it's not even a consideration.2 points

This is probably the best I have ever seen a Tesla Look, a customer built 2 door Tesla S sedan. Tesla Model S is turned into 2-door convertible and actually looks good (electrek.co) @A Horse With No Name Here is a very green travel Van for you! I have two sisteres that live in a golf course community in Florida. My nieces have to worry about aligators when they go to the pool. Firebird in the middle, please. A good cover for this morning, I think. One more advantage of electric....with electric and water....he would make that mistake....once... Impressive little water crossing...2 points

Considering the XT6 starts at $52,695, Aviator starts at $51,100, give me the Aviator all day. 3.0TT over that mediocre 3.6. The Grand Cherokee L supposedly is going to start right around 40k, which seems low but we also only have seen high end models. I certainly want to see this color, Wilder Metallic, on a vehicle and not just the "build and price". I can't seem to find a "real" picture of one.2 points

Dinosaurs in America. I think about them sometimes. Actually, the most logical ancestor would be the alligator. When I see those bigger, older ones in some photos lazily sauntering across some golf course in Florida, I realize the dinosaur is still here. I could suggest a good golf course or two in South Florida where these alligators can go hang out. And I don't even golf.2 points

The answer to a question no one asked, your very random thought for today. In terms of Dinosaurs, theya re still with us. Birds descended from them. In terms of interesting cars, they are still with us. The interesting DNA all seems to be in motorcycles lately.2 points

What is embarrassing is no one else makes an EV as good as Tesla. The Taycan is fast, but doesn't have the range of a Model S and it costs more. Taycan interior looks nicer, but the Model S is old. And after seeing the EQA, I am thinking Mercedes is putting not enough motor and too much price into their EV's.1 point

Moved on to off road, camping, getting ready to take the motorcycle safety class, woodworking, reading, watching good movies, hiking, square dancing (before the pandemic) my wood turning club, tool collecting, tool restoration, drinking good wine, drinking craft beer, visiting various cities in the midwest, planning on some international travel after covid, rebuilding old friendships, growing and finding new friendships, studying architecture, studying classical art, listening to classical music, Pizza, Greek food, Thai Food, Indian Food, helping my friend rebuild a hundred year old victorian house, and attempting to get 8 hours of sleep a night. Did I mention good craft Beer? Rather sadly, a young woman who is a friend of a friend just passed away in a terrible automobile accident in Indiana. Karley was 27 and leaves behind small children and a husband. Carpe diem, live each day to the fullest!1 point

Tegu are invading as well. Plus the Burmese Pythons in the everglades. I love camping, but not a fan of creepy crawly things that bite. Had a good friend almost die froma brown recluse spider bite a few years ago. Happy Birthay indeed. I actually really liked her. Sadly, she died a few years ago. Would have been nice to have her see Kamala Harris get sworn in.1 point

There's no DIC (Driver Info Center) in my 2500HD, and/so I log every fill up & compute the MPG. I don't know why- I started doing it with me '64 Catalina. My truck never sees a weather-related MPG drop- it just doesn't care. Now, NJ doesn't see many long-stretch true cold spells, and by that I'd define 'cold' as under 25F. Plenty in the 30s tho. Maybe in more northern climes, where it can run in the 10s or lower for weeks, it'd be different. [/report]1 point

Thanks for posting, they did an outstanding job as a cover band. Great start to the morning! 4 men playing to the soul of all those that love music. Multi-Cultural Greatness! Compliment to @A Horse With No Name Cover band by the same group, excellent way to get the blood moving as you start to work. Just learned this, very cool family. The name REO brothers comes from their names. all five of them have first names that starts with R. Reno, Ronjoseph, Raymart, Ralph and Roymark. E is for their middle name. Evasco. and O for their family name, Otic. thats why its REO brothers. Thought i'd comment this here for those who were wondering why REO brothers.1 point

Zero possibility I would take this over a GV80 or Aviator and the GV80 starts at $48,900 with AWD but I wouldn't prefer a 2.5T in a vehicle of this size. The 3.5T starts at $59,150. And that link didn't take me to a dealer website, it was just a dealer locator.1 point

Same. The XT6 is absolute garbage and while I'm not a huge fan of the Aviator on the outside, it shames the XT6 on the inside and on powertrain options.1 point

....it will be epic. Everyone will blame Hillary for Biden's death, and we will be the laughingstock of the world once again. You can't make this stuff up. Ottawa would be cold but wonderful as a place to live. However, every time I think bad about my country I remember this, and feel ninfinitely better about being American. Sandy Munro took delivery of a 2021 Tesla Model 3 and will take it across the USA to see how well (or not) it performs as compared to the last Model 3 he had when he and his company tore it down for cost analysis. He will do a cost analysis on this one too to see how Tesla changed its manufacturing on it. The road trip will also conclude about battery loss in cold weather. He is skeptical on the whole thing (on certain resources on BOTH sides). Some folk say battery degradation is at 40% or so while others say its as little as 15-20%. Well...HE wants to see for himself what is the reality of it all. There are 3 other episodes before this one. The 3 previous are his INITIAL thoughts on the visual cues on differences of his last Model 3. Panel gaps are still a problem...and it bugs the shyte out of him. (And the shytiness of closing the frunk) but mainly he says that panel gaps are REALLY not a big issue over all and that the Model 3 is really a fantastic EV over all. Paint issues are all gone too.1 point

Seems the 2021 Cadillac Escalade Reviews are coming out and they say Cadillac has taken back The Standard of the World for Luxury SUVs. Cross shop it with the Mercedes brand and Cadillac wins. ? Quote I can totally agree with: Drivetrain-wise, I think it's time to make this truck electric. Big V8s have plenty of power and this particular 6.2-liter works well with GM's 10-speed transmission, but I now wonder how much faster, quieter and efficient it could be if it cribbed from that new GMC Hummer EV's playbook. 2021 Cadillac Escalade Review: The Standard of the World Takes Back the SUV Crown (thedrive.com) The question and answer section had a good question about comparing Cadillac Escalade to GMC Yukon Denali. Here was the response from the writer. Quote The Cadillac gets metallic switchgear where the Denali does not, and indeed most (all?) of the other switchgear in the interior is different. The climate controls are completely different and have nothing in common with any other vehicle on the platform, and the Denali doesn't get an infotainment controller like the Cadillac does. Really, it's hard to spot similarities between the two, besides the steering column which I mentioned previously. Really, the more I look for similar areas, the less I find. Heck, even the glovebox is different on the Cadillac, something I would expect to be carried over. It's not even worth trying to say what's still the same, because so much is different. And for the record, It doesn't feel like a cheap car from the inside, so changing all of this stuff really does pay off. The seats are also much nicer in the Escalade, especially with the optional leather.1 point

Yes...that's why I've driven GCs for over 20 years...really nice on road as a daily in any weather, and capable off road when I want to get away... the 4Runner was really the only other SUV I looked at closely back in '00 when I bought my first GC.1 point

Meh, Nothing special--remember, this is an AWD/transverse engine generic platform underneath... for a 3 row luxury CUV/SUV, I wouldn't take one over the or a Merc GLE, BMW X5, Lincoln Aviator or the new Grand Cherokee L...1 point

The GV80 really seems to upstage this interior too at the same money. I feel like XT6 is just an also ran, sort of like the MDX and whatever Infiniti is peddling in this segment.1 point
