  1. @A Horse With No Name Business Costco has a great $29.99 two pack of cast iron skillet pack with high heat grips. 450 in the oven or if you slip off the heat grips, can do 500 degrees and they say made in the USA. Pre-Seasoned to boot!

  2. It’s SOLAR-powered tho!! No fossil fuels, no un-recyclable solar panels or wind turbines! THE ULTIMATE!! If it rains, just leave them out there longer. If a bird poops on it- that’s nothing but organic/vegan proteins. Hard, hard endorsement! ??? That said, the wife abandoned ours years ago. I tried to bring her back to it, but no.

  9. Ford has also requested dealers in Texas lend out generator equipped F-150s to help out. Anything helps because it is a bad situation there right now and not everyone can fly to Cancun to escape it or afford a $60K plus truck to power their space heaters.

  11. 2021 Nissan Rogue Gets Troubling NHTSA Crash Rating While the Rogue ekes out a "Four Star" overall safety rating, the individual front crash scores are troubling. The front driver gets a Four Star rating, but the front passenger only earns a Two Star rating. The overall front rating is only a Three Star one, too. 2021 Nissan Rogue Gets Troubling NHTSA Crash Rating (motortrend.com)

  12. Yeah, the $750 option for the full ProPower Onboard is a "heck of a deal" when you compare it to any generator that has the power this does.

  15. You are living high on the hog...ramen noodles because of tool purchases myself... Stop eating at all of those good Clevalnd area restaurants and you may shrink yourself...! I need to get myself a Lodge cast iron skillet, made in the USA. I keep meaning to do that. Nothing wrong with that... I like the feel of air dried clothes sometimes... I remember my grandmothers hanging out clothes to dry. You need to quit using logic and reason if you want to fit in around here. That being said, in the 1950's, my Granbdmother started using weather.com and used it until she died... (Sarcasm...!) Just consider it an extra rinse cycle.

  16. I do hang up some items to dry in my laundry room, because if I put them in the dryer they may shrink.

  17. I have rods in the laundry room for hang drying as you never know if it will rain or not plus birds could poop on your cloths. Nope better ways even green to do it than on a cloths line in your yard especially since those cloths lines will get wet, mildew and cause health problems. PASS, HARD PASS on an out of date way to dry cloths green style.

  18. Of course they're going to need the IC portion to charge the battery or use as a generator. It's just great they if they have a 36 gallon tank, it'll last a hell of a lot longer than any generator AND be silent from inside your home, unlike any other generator.

  19. >>"The 2.0-kW system can be added to any F-150 equipped with the 2.7-liter V-6, 3.5-liter V-6 or 5.0-liter V-8 engine. When activated, the system runs the engine to provide power to the inverter and two 120-volt, 20-amp three-prong outlets in the bed of the truck. It operates while the vehicle is parked or while it’s in motion, enabling you to keep items plugged into the outlets in the bed that might need recharging as you’re driving to a worksite or campsite. It provides up to 2,000 watts of power for whatever you want to plug in. This is a considerable upgrade from what most 120-volt outlets presented in trucks currently are usually limited to 400 watts, which is enough to power portable speakers or maybe a small television at a tailgate party. But now with 2,000 watts to play with, you can theoretically power some speakers, a TV, an electric heater, a mini-fridge and a blender, perhaps all at the same time."<< >>"The F-150 hybrid comes standard with a more powerful version of this system, putting out 2,400 watts of electricity. But unlike the regular F-150, it first uses energy stored in the 1.5-kwh onboard battery to power whatever it is you’re using before activating the 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged PowerBoost V-6 engine when that battery starts to run low. Like any standard generator, the engine boosts its rpm when a significant draw is detected — fire up a 1,000-watt air compressor and you might not notice a difference. Fire that up plus a circular saw, and the engine will start to rev a little faster to keep up with the power demand. But the ultimate system is the optional 7.2-kW version that’s offered as an option on the hybrid. Like the 2.4-kW version, it draws first from the battery before firing up the engine. But unlike the lesser versions, it offers four 120-volt, 20-amp outlets and one twist-lock NEMA L6-20 240-volt, 30-amp outlet and can provide up to 7,200 watts of electricity. That’s enough to power most people’s home fridge, freezer, computers, TVs, etc. Most RVs only bother with a generator in the 3,000-4,000-watt range. Ford says this kind of portable power built into a truck can deliver electricity to remote construction locations, enough to power all the tools necessary for a team of builders to actually frame a house. "<< IN the TX scenario, one is GOING to use the IC portion.

  24. Since you are doing movies with memorable scenes with lovely girls. Imma gonna post one too. But before I do...this scene has been etched in my memory and thanx to the internets, it will forever live in my mind. The dance is incredible. Salma Hayek even more. But the song is pure sex. THAT says a lot about the song...

  25. Simple, no comparison when you go AWD between the two, but the point was the 0 to 60 in FWD and the comments of CVT versus single speed EV and I believe the point was that a heavier bolt was faster and still responded better than the CVT. If they added AWD to the Bolt, then you could go there in comparison even with the price spread. Personal preference will always trump price for people. Some people very well could like the Bolt at the higher price over the FWD Rogue Sport. Their choice. Agree with you that the Equinox, RAV4, Escape and CR-V are all better comparisons and options to this auto from Nissan.

  30. I think it looks much better than the previous generation. Personally, CVT is the definite no for me. Probably, it will do good compared to the other crossovers in the segment though. How the hell Bolt got dragged into the conversation. It is not even in the same segment.

  32. • I had no problem with the 3-letter system- that started in the what- mid '90s? It's going on 30 yrs old at this point, and was consistent; it's not like Cadillac suddenly took the 'S' and stuck it at the beginning... • Where I start to diverge is the apparent sidelining towards the German-esque 'dumbed down' naming scheme, where ascending numbers/letters have to align with the competition. About where the 'ATS' came in; the name by itself is fine, I don't like that consumers are presumably so stupid that anything outside the 'A' / '1' / 'A2' gets them all weepy. • Also did not agree with the change from '-V Sport / -V' to '-V / '-V Blackwing'. First variant was excellent. • The newton-meters thing doesn't bother me since none of the other players are literal with their displacement call-outs; all mechanical-related numbers (displacement) are made-up. Plus, I give Cadillac a pinch of credit for going where the industry is (supposedly) heading before any of the others do.

  34. The naming system and the 400, 500, 600 numbers is all a disaster. For example the Escalade gas and diesel engines have the same torque so they'd have the same number. Also changing naming schemes and throwing model names away every 10 years is not a good idea. That is why stuff like Camry and Corolla sell, those names have been around forever and people are familiar with them. I would guess 60% of the buying public doesn't even know what an XT6 is. They should also go back to word names. If word names are a bad idea then the Escalade name should be dropped immediately and the product changed to XT7. Also no other GM brand does an alpha-numeric naming scheme.

  37. I love those "diagonal test" vids over onto the YouTube, where they test 4WD/AWD effectiveness on a severe diagonal ramp test (on dry asphalt). The Nissan Rogue was among the better systems, as illustrated. A CUV with a "4WD/AWD Lock" button seems like they're trying harder. GM, Hyundai/Kia, Jeep and any other OEM gets a thumbs up from me on that. The new Tucson is a good looking CUV. SavageGeese really likes the new Rogue. I would get the base S in AWD, or, for the price, I could get the sportier, smaller Rogue Sport for the same money but in a higher trim level. I would want heated seats/wheel like I have now, but I'd also like to have nav. When nav systems first appeared widespread, I was anti, but now I think it would come in handy. In my line of work, I get to speak to a lot of ppl in light conversation about their cars. There are a good number of all-Nissan families.

  38. So we have generational listing as follows: Snowflake generation - 2011-2020 Generation Z - 1996-2010 Millennials - 1977-1995 Generation X - 1965-1976 Baby Boomers - 1946-1964 Silent Generation - 1925-1945 G.I. Generation - 1900-1924 Pretty much a portion of Millennials, most of Gen Z and Snowflake Gen care less about auto's and unlike the Gen X and Baby Boomers who did get involved in auto shop, auto clubs, etc. we do not have the interest or passion from folks born from mid 90's to now which will increase the quick recycling of auto's moving society into an EV world far faster than many realize. Both of my kids and many kids their age in the mid 30's would rather have their trucks / SUVs in EV form than deal with all the liquids and other maintenance of an ICE auto. I do expect ICE to take a dirt nap in my kids lifetime!
