I have become quite enamored with this. I may get a small used hybrid to keep the miles off the Avalanche for now and then in a few years spring for one of these to be my daily. I love this color and the green interior.

Simple- just quadruple the cost of all mailings & eliminate the loophole of 'fleet pricing' for mass mailings/advertising. Tomorrow at the opening of business; a first class letter costs $2.20. It's just like BE's- you gotta spend 2-4 times what you were used to, to 'save' something. Everyone loves doing that/can afford it; this is America!!

Isn’t the USPS deficit due to pension underfundment, not operational costs? Also, nothing - short of segments of the military - run by the Gov’t is efficient. Those 2 things are mutually exclusive.

He's certainly not a fan of the "SUV" look though. The deal breaker for me would be the lack of real buttons/controls that Teslas have. I couldn't tolerate having to scroll through the screen to adjust simple things like wipers, opening the glovebox, adjusting seat/steering wheel.

Boy you like exaggerating! Plenty of Teslas where I live and I yet to see one "broken down" on a side of the road. Not that they don't have quality issues, but to be fair it is not like Ford is famous for it super high quality. They botched their last couple new car releases pretty badly.

It can be tough! But, damn, the Puget Sound area, with the wall to wall evergreen, looks so damn nice when covered in snow, even though it doesn't function well. Also, with enough curvy two-lane roads and hills in the burbs, the black ice sort of sneaks up on you. If a person can walk to a local independent coffeehouse that's open, that could be good. Thankfully, this sort of weather in the Puget Sound Basin is a rare occurrence.

Me too. My partner's Model S is as reliable as any other vehicle out there. No major issues. Lots of bitchin' about fit and finish and all that. Again, with his car, not much different than any other car... even as compared to other vehicles in that price range... Quality of materials may not be up to that price tag's standard's, but he didnt buy a Model S for the quality of materials. But a Tesla is not about prestigious interiors anyway! He didnt buy it for the speed either. He bought it to get off of oil. And to him, the price of admission was well worth it. I laugh, even at @David when people bitch at Tesla's fit and finish. Its mostly much ado about nothing. My wife's 2013 Ford Fusion has Tesla levels of fit and finish...On the exterior as the interior is good on the Fusion. My wife's car before the Fusion, a 2009 Mazda 3, also had Tesla levels of fit and finish. On the inside too. My car before my Acura, a 2005 Impala SS. Well....THAT car had Tesla levels of fit and finish. Interior AND exterior. People bitch about Tesla's paint jobs... All MY cars mentioned, the Mazda 3, The Ford Fusion, the Chevy Impala...they ALL had shyte paint jobs one way or other. The Fusion has orange peel near the license plate area in the back. The hood, which is aluminum I think, well, its starting to peel off at the top of the hood little by little. The Impala had paint starting to peel off at the rear wheel wells. The Mazda had thin thin paint. The Fusion's chromed trim on the C Pillar fell off. BOTH sides. I had to get those replaced 6 months after ownership. There was an eventual recall on that. Or a bulletin report... Ive never seen more cheap interiors than that of the Mazda AND the Impala. The Mazda is an econobox. OK. But for the amounts of times Ive heard bitching and moaning about Cavaliers and Sunbirds...I think it wasnt fair for the J-Body to get that kind of heat when 200 years later, the Mazda 3 was WORSE than the J-Body... The Impala...there is no phoquing excuse for that kind of cheapness. The Impala SS cost me 40 000 Canadian to buy. And I know GM got heat for cheap interiors, no where near the bitchin' that Tesla gets. Tesla is still a new car company. What is FoMoCo's and GM's excuse? Mazda's? Mazda has been around a long time too... @David I aint gonna touch your Escalade. But your Trailblazer SS is fair game. Do NOT tell me that your Trailblazer SS's interior is worth the price that it was sold as new. Because it wasnt! You could defend it, but as vocal as you are about Tesla, I would expect that you are as harsh about your own Trailblazer as you are about Tesla... I say that with love!

Yeah, modern times typical. I think only Summit White is free at GMC (Sierra), then there a couple that are $195, about 4-5 that are $495 and 1-2 that are $695. But at 70 grand, it should be included even moreso than at the $50K level. “Optional paint”. Wonder if you can get a vehicle ‘paint delete’?

Never saw Tron. I said this to my son yesterday, standing in a convince store waiting on lunch & listening to 2 songs piped in. 'Modern pop music certainly is wretched, lyrically.' If you're lucky, you get 2 repeating lines instead of just 1. It's all disposable garbage to me and I never listen to it if I have a choice (but sometimes you're just subjected to it). I have heard that 'get lucky' song - abhorrant & vapid.

While I can understand the convenience for the household, it is not efficient in this modern world and today, with running billion dollar deficit's, the USPS needs to get more efficient. This would take a burden off the tax payers. Plus why not have more exercise for the home owners?

I like the convenience of the mail slot. Don't have to go outside to get my mail.. Walking to a grouped box would be tedious, esp. in winter. Plus walking door to door gives the delivery people the opportunity to get exercise.

Not everything I liked that Daft Punk did, but they did have some fun music and videos. The Weekend Around the World, Last one as work calls.

I am not crazy about funky headlights and the look of the front, but I like everything else about R1S so far. I would love to have daily that would be efficient and will have real off-road capability, but $70k is a lot of money. Hopefully there will be smaller off-road capable EV that will be priced more reasonably.

This is what I love also for my next SUV to replace the Escalade. I really love the color and interior. Wife will either get the Hummer pickup or R1T. Not sure on the color though as that is her choice.

Its NOT just the testing and evaluation. Its also the actual 'how to' that is lacking. There is NO actual driver training. What I mean by driver training, I LITERALLY mean driver training. There is no training on car control. Like what a police officer has to go through. And yes...THAT kind of rigorous driving training. Maybe not the PIT maneuver, but teach drivers how to respond and drive in emergency situations. Teach them not to panic. Teach them how to understeer. How to oversteer. How to gain control back. How to brake hard. What to do when braking hard. In rain. On snow. On gravel. On clean dry tarmac. And so forth. And by teaching them these skills, only then could the mindless dolts realize the IMPORTANCE of keeping FOCUSED when driving. And who knows? Maybe when these mindless dolts master the basics at the very least and at most, be proficient in the hard skills of driving maybe they will become enthusiastic about the whole driving culture... But when driving schools across North America even fail to teach people to parallel park, what else do you expect on our roads?

Yet if it was a video of a Clinton or Obama tower, you’d be upvoting it until your fingers bled thus proving the point about knee jerk reactions. Everyone else thought it was funny as hell btw so maybe the problem here is not the video, not the commentary, and not the person who shared it. There is also a certain irony here. The same person who replied with "speak Engrish" to someone whom he knows has a wife of Asian descent, complaining about "inflammatory" remarks. Step all the way off with that non-sense. Those are the facts here.

The reactionary down votes on here are both perplexing and interesting. I'm not advocating extended dialogue on this venue, but if people are going to disagree with you, both parties should have at least 10 to 15 minutes worth of relevant, detailed, and factual back up at hand. Reactionary people don't seem to grasp that. That's why they resort to being reactionary.

I just had a friend get their Bolt bought back because of the botched battery situation and he's getting either a Tesla Model 3 or Mach E(if he gets a chance to drive a Mach E).
