  1. Ummm, maybe you didn't see the "apples to apples" error there lol. I would sure as hell hope that an SUV Mach-E has more space than a two door pony car Mustang that happens to share the same first name. They literally have noticing else in common unlike the new Equinox.

  2. WOW, did not know that about him. That is very surprising indeed. Wonder if diet played a part or just a lucky roll of the genetic dice? ?

  3. Yes, you are right, the ignorance of people not wanting to face the facts did take it political. We can, due to the good grace of @Drew Dowdell THANK YOU, discuss this, post links to the facts and with our own restrain and rereading of our post before we post it do our best to keep this focused on the deadly Virus at hand. Our biggest challenge we will have, is being patient enough to continue to share the data, the educated best guess as science is only that till proven otherwise in helping those that choose to believe social media disinformation over science facts. I always find it interesting that people will tend to believe a mishmash of social media BS over a stated testing methodology of science. How someone with no facts, but a loud voice can get away with having people believe their BS over a science-based approach. Hate to say it, but education, which is the great equalizer IMHO, is also where we tend to have this division on society. We have two camps, those that are educated and use it to abuse society and those that see it as a responsibility to help society. This Pandemic has proven this out IMHO. Here is to everyone staying safe and getting vaccinated.

  5. Its not called a pandemic for no reason... Many folk (in the US and Canada) do not understand the meaning of the word 'pandemic'. Many more others (in the US and Canada) simply havent experienced anything uncomfortable of this magnitude. We have been living life very sheltered since 1945. Other than socio-economic falters along the way that much includes the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and some really bad racism, for the most part, Americans and Canadians have simply lived a very very aristocratic life and are much too phoquing tone deaf to see what the rest of the world had and continues to go through with poverty, wars, racism, REAL loss of freedoms or never had ANY freedoms to begin with on TOP of Covid... Forgetting that there has been multiple famines and ebola outbreaks and all kinds of other pandemics that actually never hit North America since the end of WW2 in 1945. But now we are dangerously close in going political... We should stop this direction right here...

  7. Crazy, course people back then were even smaller than today. Would be interesting to see what they looked like.

  8. Yes, I know I am the extreme exception to this as I am NOT the Standard size for America. Glad I could make you laugh, Figure it was my time to pull the Apple to Watermelon comparison! So true my friend, but then Noticing the lack of sarcasm, I did my best to play the role of the mismatched comparison! I do like the "noticing else in common" comment! JK

  9. A bit different, though as the ICE Mustang is a 2dr coupe/convertible w/ a tiny interior. Apples and oranges. The EV Equinox is the same body style as the ICE Equinox and presumably similar exterior dimensions, so one would think they would have similar interior dimensions. Though interestingly, Tesla continues to sell quite a few vehicles...not sure interior space is that much of an issue for most buyers.

  10. Apparently Pfizer is seeking FDA approval for 4th boosters. I’m 3x Moderna, but I’ll get Pfizer if it’s approved. Mixing vaccine boosters is supposed to give a slight immune advantage. if it gets approved soon (and there is no reason not to, they already do it for the 65+ set and the immunocompromised), I’ll be eligible at the end of April.

  11. Lo-ooong term transition; most independent owner/operators won't be able to afford a BE semi. You force what can't be afforded and you basically bankrupt people from their livelihoods.

  12. The problem I think a lot of people had [right or wrong], is that the 'facts' have steadily shifted over the last 2 years, but at every point there were still vocal platforms demeaning folk for asking questions or challenging the 'then facts'. I think everyone is aware of the rushed nature of the pandemic uprising and the mad scramble to develop treatment(s), but the aforementioned is still going to stick with some folk, and they're going to resist. The above is not me; I'm fully dosed - I stayed close to home & watched numerous news sources when the vaccine initially came out, and after a short while, when no mass ill effects were reported, I got on board. But I also take everything out of D.C. with a healthy pinch of salt- they're general fuckups down there who need interns to velcro their dress shoes on. F 'em.

  14. Close? It passed "close" two years ago when the folks who denied COVID in the first place, made it political.

  16. I can honestly say that YES, the Public is Covid Fatigued! Yet with that said are you willing to play Russian Roulette with your life? Not me, My whole family continues to wear masks in public and we are not doing any large indoor events. This even includes going to my wine club release parties as the risk is not worth the it IMHO. Since my job has me working with many medical groups that are working on Covid, the boosters are great, and a 4th booster will be needed. Lucky the mRNA tech is able to handle being tweaked to focus on the latest strains and this includes the newest B2 variant that is starting to take over across Europe and in select states/provinces/territories. I just hope we can overcome the ignorance against vaccination especially for kids where we are seeing the uptick in sickness and death. Very sad.

  17. There is an uptick in Covid cases in Quebec and especially in the Montreal area the last few days. Our government now is talking about 4rth doses and pleading the population to get their 3rd doses. 3rd doses have stalled the last couple of weeks. The mask mandates were said to be lifted in mid April. But now the government is not so sure. This was yesterday's news conference. Our Premier tested positive for Covid as well. Not so sure how the Quebec folk will feel about the mask mandates not being lifted. So far, Quebec folk have been very civil about this whole Covid thing for the most part. I sense minor civil unrest this time around.

  18. I recognized that GP interior, as I spent 7 hrs in one driving very slowly in an ice storm outside Portland, Or in Dec 06...still remember experience pretty well... The GM interior of that era I'm most familiar with was the early 00s Cadillac DTS...my sister had one in AZ, and I drove it a lot--commuted to work in it quite a bit in 2013-2015...always liked the interior in these. (first pic below is a DeVIlle--the DTS had buckets and a center console and floor shift, but much the same otherwise). Very comfortable car, drove it on several road trips from Phoenix to San Diego or LA...seats were very comfortable.

  19. The resemblance between that of Intrigue and Alero interior and dash, in hindsight, is incredible. As if the Alero is a "baby Intrigue." They share a lot of styling cues. At this point, I'm seeing more Aleros still on the road than Intrigues. I had never taken a good look at the 1st gen Aurora's dash. Really nice! I like the insets in the cowl like they've done over the instrument cluster. It has been done in other decades. The first Seville had them, too, albeit on a much more dated interior and dashboard that was really nice in its day. I probably like the exterior styling of the 2nd gen Aurora more, but prefer the interior of the 1st gen.

  20. I much much prefer Oldsmobile's interiors of this era than any other GM brand. Of course when this Grand Prix entered service, Oldsmobile was no more. Intrigue (of the previous W-Body platform as compared to the last Grand Prix before it became the G8) Alero 1st gen Aurora Those would be my favorite GM interiors of this era being the late 1990s-early 2000s.

Nothing established as a hard end-date yet, so we'll see (BOF SUVs & trucks especially; GM has backpedaled there more than once.). - - - - - Leno is one of the best reviewers out there, because he has actual hands-on perspective and has no need for awkward 'click bait' word games / phraseology.

  25. This is a good example of Keystoning prices for the 90's early 2000's, now I have seen keystoning of 100 to 150% on retail pricing even if it is a repair shop. Pricing of the parts is out of hand as is the labor charges now.

  26. Yes, this will be key here for Chevrolet. Yet with that stated, the Mach-E has tons of interior space over a ice Mustang. I can also say without a doubt that Tesla really screwed the Donkey on their lack of interior space for an EV on top of a stoopid extreme rack of the windshield and roof line that eats up interior space. Sadly large people even musk in the front seat cannot have anyone sit in the rear unlike a Mach-E. Interior space is one reason I have not bought a Rivian, Hummer or Chevrolet Silverado E. I need to physically test myself in one and the rear seat to see if the family can fit.
