  1. My only guess would be odd numbers are for cars and even for "SUVs", because you guys are spot on. But...does it...? You missed one RIGHT in the wheelhouse of SMK, E Class All Terrain. ?

  2. mixed bag, better looking than the other ID's but still looking chunky and weird. These EV interiors with their horizontal dashboards, tacked on screens and weird consoles don't feel like some of the more driver oriented cockpit interiors we've gotten used to over the last couple decades or so.

  4. Just more UGH. While I get the purpose of this type of system, its obvious omissions are a big "NO" for me but even the Android side is half baked and is limited by the automaker Google partners with. The Polestar example proves this. The entertainment limitations (missing features that companies like Tesla have) and all the "multi-use" Android OS features are hogtied by the parent companies love for all things safety. The missing features are deliberate (although some options may change on that front). Other companies will have plus and minuses in this regard as well. In the end, I just don't get it, long term, other than the pure greed factors I have brought up before. On the one hand (CarPlay Omission and entertainment options) but get it on another (simplified development for automakers). I will be keeping up with this over the next few years, when I may finally pull the trigger on an EV. Right now, I am generally not impressed with the interface options.

  5. @surreal1272 @Robert Hall @Drew Dowdell @smk4565 @oldshurst442 @trinacriabob @regfootball @ccap41 This is a really good read on the Snapdragon Auto system powered by Google Android on how it works and interacts with phones. Android Automotive OS review: Under the hood with Google’s car OS | Ars Technica While a little old, it is a great starting point to read and learn about how Google will keep it updated in comparison to the auto companies. As the story says, Ford has quit Microsoft's Auto OS and went with QNX for the last few years but like everyone is moving this year to Snapdragon/Android.

  6. Agree that I do not think Tesla is going to go up as much as others think it will in the All things God Musk can do, everything will rise. Much like SpaceX Rocket Explosion this week. Tesla is not looking good either. Based on the public records here is how Tesla looks by the quarters. Maxed in Q1 2022 and dropping since then. I also think his lie about not selling more stock but then November 2022 came around and everything he promised he would not do he did. Tesla sinks on Elon Musk stock sales, Twitter distraction (cnbc.com)

  10. No need to read the rest of your post when your are going to be deliberately ignorant to the facts. What was Mercedes damn excuse for a three year slide before 2022? You know what? Don’t answer it because it doesn’t matter. You are wrong, period, if you think this kind of switch doesn’t affect sales. FFS.

  11. I woudnt eat alligator or rattlesnake either. But are ye equating Greeks to rednex? Dems are fightin' words, ya hear???!!! Son. I reckon that ...a pair of alligator or rattlesnake cowboy boots on my feets would be gnarly I would think tho. Who needs cow when lizards exist, right? I mean...a Greek fits in with the rednex quite well. We were the originals to say Come and get 'em. And...our original main God was the original dude sleeping around with his sister and daughter catch my drift???!!! Boy. Point very well taken then! Sorry I even brought it up.

  12. 1. Audi and Porsche Not on the list...but to me, are the sexiest EV sedans to date. Side profile or any profile for that matter. 2. pains me to admit this...but the Bimmer i4. It looks like a regualr BMW sedan 4 series sedan. None of that nonsense of stylizing a funky EV JUST because its an EV. 3. (TIED) (3 WAY) Celestiq Admittedetly, the rounded rear looks a bit off. But Im guessing pictures dont do it justice. When I see it in the real world, Ill adjust my opinion of it. 3. Model S After all these years, it still looks good. Not as sexy as it was when it came out. Time has aged it. But its still very very nice. But to me, its a classic EV that is still sold. Kinda like the Challenger. Its an old car, but its a classic RIGHT NOW!!! 3. Lucid Air The side view flows nicely. Would be SEXY AF if we were still in the 1990s. So it g be tied with 2 othjer cars in 3rd place. 4. Ioniq 6 Its a quirky design on any profile. Side view actually flows nicely. I like. Wouldnt want to own one though. Too droopy of you will for my tastes. But I like nonetheless. 5. TIED (2 WAY) BMW i7 Looks like the the regualr 7 Series. See i4 reasoning and apply it to this one. Some might call it ugly. I wont argue it. Side profile looks stately. And THAT is what counts for me. A fullsized luxury car NEEDS to look stately. And this one does. I like a lot! 5. Model 3 Frumpy. Dated really really quickly. But in all honesty, it aint bad. I dont like the rest of the cars so I wont even bother rating them. Mercedes' attempts at slippery EV sedans look too much like used bar of soaps. That kind of styling would even be too much roundedness for the 1990s. Its not a bad look per se. I just dont like. The Polestar is too square and too tall. Dont like. Not stately enough. Too tête carré to enjoy. Its NOT hip to be square.

  14. How is it an suv? How is that anything more than a hatchback with big wheels? There are 2-door Imprezas that are more SUV than that...

  15. But they don't want to because Apple won't play the same game as Google (for good or bad). GM wants to learn about their consumers while they are driving (not a fan of said policy, for the record) and target them with corresponding subscription based services and Google is the perfect host for that tactic since they don't give a rat's posterior about customer privacy and specialize in target advertising. For all of this to happen, it has to squeeze Apple out of the box, so to speak. This subscription nonsense is getting out of hand and GM lost a potential EV buyer with this new setup with Google. This has less to do with my Apple preference and more to do with my distaste of everything Google, where privacy is concerned. Hell, even Lucid added Apple CarPlay recently. The omission for the sake of poaching more dough customers (who have already paid tens of thousands for their GM EV) is just dumb and greedy as hell IMO. And in what kind of Swedish/Chinese common core math world nonsense is a 4 slotted between a 2 and a 3?

  16. Okay, so already more steps involved... This is starting exactly how I would expect it.

  17. The new interface and system is all Google software ( a big "yikes" for me) and yes, excluding CarPlay is a huge mistake.

  18. Am I the only one who saw 4-door Challenger at first glance? Obviously it isn't but that's what my eyes saw until I looked further.
