  1. I can tell that's a fake because they made a sedan a CX. CX is only for crossovers. They should have gotten a Mazda 6 badge and turned the 6 upside down. A large sedan with a Mazda 9 badge would be more believable.

  2. Well I pretty much have accepted that I won't be buying a car until 2029 because a Rav4 will probably cost about $60k by summer at the rate we are going.

  3. Idiots are making me very nervous about flying this May for the company's tradeshow. Musk is an Idiot and his Satellite company will not make things better over what Verizon has been doing in slowly modernizing the system.

  4. I think you might like SPI. It's way the hell down there. (SW is your friend.) Brush up on your Spanish.

  5. Excellent Needs a better bike in the picture. I love living in the Midwest. Ranger is at 107,000 miles and just keeps on cranking. I don't think I have ever been so wrong about anything in my life as hating on the Ranger. It has proven to be one of my favorite vehicles. I so want to visit. Watch the above video, three minutes and she nails it. Happy birthday!

  6. The EQ cars are not good. Too heavy, not enough range, too expensive, interiors aren't as nice as the gas equivalent, etc. Luckily they are being killed off in a year or two. The new Mercedes EVs are coming starting this year, CLA with 268 or 375 hp, GLC with 483 hp in 2026, E-class EV in summer 2027. AMG electric super car, AMG sedan, AMG SUV with the Yasa axial flux motors start arriving next year. And the EQS test mule with solid state batteries is on the road which is over 600 mile range, so they can put that into the EV S-class when it arrives. Their EV future all of a sudden looks great.

  9. I agree with the first part, people using speaker phone in public. I think most everybody sees/hears that and it drives the other 90% of us nuts. I don't know why it's so annoying, because it really is just like two peole talking and we wouldn't complain about two people in a waiting room talking, but it drives me nuts. I guess it's mostly because these people talk so loud as is they're trying to shout to each other and the microphone isn't picking up anything. The second part about people listening to loud music that you occasionally hear, just sounds like a grumpy old man. There's no way you hear their music for more than a minute or two at a stop light and then it's gone. There's nothing wrong with them listening to their music loud. That's not bad parenting, unless it's clearly done on purpose TO disturb people, but I highly doubt that. How often are you hearing music that's so loud that it's disturbing to you? I can't remember the last time I heard somebody's car system that loud. Come to the Midwest, we're quite the chill people!

  11. Politics aside, I really like SPI. I think this January was my 4th visit there. I'd have to look at past archived photos. It's on a barrier island, like Miami Beach, but the exact opposite ... no hype, no pretense, and, with that, the sort of crowd that might come with that and a hopping Whataburger. People have asked me why it's not uptown. Well, it's not across from a critical port of entry and mecca like Miami. Texas border towns like Brownsville, Harlingen, and McAllen don't have the intellectual base and cachet to stimulate what's across at that barrier island. It's almost too relaxed down there and food is cheap, plentiful, and mostly good. South Padre Island across the Queen Isabella Causeway with Port Isabel in the foreground

  12. You don't even need to go in anymore. Those digital jukeboxes can now take selections from your phone. You can be on a plane over the Atlantic and do it.

  14. Maybe 2018 or 2019 I was at a lakeside bar and they had a jukebox...I remember it was September and a Packers game was on. What was playing was a variety of pop and country pop songs...I selected Pearl Jam's 'Black', Nirvana's 'Teenage Spirit' and Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun' to lighten up the mood with some classic grunge..

  15. Good morning. I think it would be funny to go into a biker bar, locate the jukebox, select "McArthur Park,""More, More, More," and "I Love the Nightlife," and GTFO.

  16. Damn, that is so true…. Hard not to when it comes to cars… But it’s much more relaxing to come to places that don’t talk about those “things”. I’m sadly down to a few forums that still enjoy talking about cars…….
