  1. That looks unreal, my wife and I need to do that. Canada is a whole different (and in many ways better) world than much of the USA. I still plan to visit several places in the USA, but will probably wilderness camp to bring as little revenue as possible into certain (red) states. You are absolutely right about American society going to crap. Trump is the symptom, not the cause.

  3. Understandable, and I would LOVE to actually visit Canada one day. I will get there. I just don't know when. For what it's worth, Illinois is not a red state.

  4. @oldshurst442 Intelligent people know how to help others, that is why after my tradeshow, I went to Fairmont Hot Springs and spend my hard earned money on Canada, supporting jobs, buying food and enjoying the mineral hotsprings. Fairmont Hot Springs Resort - Top Hotel Fairmont, BC Why go to a Phouqed up red state when you can go locally and enjoy the great outdoors and soak! Course love that my money gets me 30% or so more there too.

  5. Both Parties have FAILED America. They both agreed to taxation on Social Security in the 70's when it had none and was solvent. They both agreed to allow borrowing against the SS money to give to the 1% of Defense spending. Yet the BIGGEST FAILURE of both parties is the decades they had to clearly put in place a better way forward for immigrants to come to this country, work hard, pay taxes and get to being an honest citizen. End result is that both Republicans and Democrats have failed this country in more ways than one and should have to pay for their wasteful ways. The American auto industry is at a cross roads that will determine if they live to 2030 or not.

  6. While the News can be deceptive on what is going on as they take advantage of the 73 IQ Idiot47, your right not everywhere is totally nuts and I am happy that we still have places that embrace the multi-cultural world we are in. Will be interesting as ICE has stated they will be coming to Washington this weekend and will spend the next few months getting rid of criminals. So far I have only seen a ton of hard workiing people, going to be interesting to see how people respond to this. This was back in June and ICE quickly left the state, so be interesting to see what the news covers this coming rest of August here: Anti-ICE protesters clash with SPD at Federal Building | FOX 13 Seattle

  7. GOP is in for a major reconning imho. Enough people are educated enough to understand that others should not be dictating how another lives especially when you do not pay for their life style, etc. We are coming up on one of the biggest money exchanges ever as the Boomers die off. Yes those that inherit billions are never really going to change their ways, but the bulk of society is not happy with what is going on and I think outside of meddling by Musk and others for the attempted control by Billionaires, U.S. society will stop this. Sadly it will be too late for leadership of this country as that ship sailed and has been sunk by imbeciles. I fear there is going to be major reconning for various industries. Steel, Aluminum, etc. are not going to come back in the droves that current lemmings think they will. Manufacturing of various kinds will also not come back, just to much to setup up and have covered that are already in places with much cheaper labor. BIGGEST area is the American Auto Industry where I believe it will truly be reduced to a fraction of what it is today and just be more of a foot note in history in a couple decades. Very sad due to poor leadership at many levels that cannot seem to see the future. Was waiting to hear if @Drew Dowdell was going to post a story on this or not, but here is the press release of the Cadillac Velocity Concept that channels the essence of the Cadillac V-Series of autos. 8. True that..I ignore much of modern American culture and people...I really have no interest in what the generican masses are into, F them...a nation full of lobotomized imbeciles. All my stuff is here, my dogs, my house, my cars, my sister, a few friends. Not interested in moving again--I've moved 5 times in the last 30 years, 4 states. That's enough..

  11. Yes. Id say it is cultural as well. SO much so that the Grand Ole Party knows this soooooo well that they have Gerrymandered the electoral map to favour them in certain states and they keep on trying to Gerrymander the phoque out of it as we speak. To squeeze as much maga juice from the maga fruit as they can. Because the grand Ole Party knows that their are some deep rooted cultural issues going on. To be fair, the reason why there are soooo many cultural issues is BECAUSE the Grand Ole Party has created these cultural divides to begin with. To be even fairer though, some of these cultural issues have always been there from the beginnings of your country. Some of it is present in my country as its the same people that came over from England and France to colonize this place called North America. Add the Spanish for your country and well...you get cultural wars that were never really resolved from the wars of Europe 200-300-400 years ago between these European countries... This divide has always existed is what Im saying. And this divide not only implies cultural dominance over one another, but religious dominance over one another too. And all this is even BEFORE Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492. Then add slavery to the mix and I know you know what it is Im saying. In the middle of a tariff war with our closest and dearest neighbour, all of Canada decided to unite and be united like Canada has ever been in our history...yet, L'office de la lnague Francaise, the French language police if you will, decided to target a Montreal Pub that has an ambiguous English name. Places of business NEED to be in French. A new by-law that was given more teeth to enforce a couple of years ago. It has always existed this law since the late 1970s or early 1980s but a couple of years ago, it was pushed to the front again... The Burgundy Lion Pub. Long story short, politicians will ALWAYS try to divide and conquer the populace. But its up to the populace to decide what they really want to do with their society. And what Im seeing is that a certain group of people in the their US would rather sink their country into authoritarianism and with it the world JUST to try to stick it to them libtards... Now this is an angle from the perspective of a person that hates the extreme right. Im sure the extreme left tries to divide and conquer too in the US. But NOBODY from either side, nor from the middle, is trying to love each other but only hatred, bigotry, sexism and rascism is bubbling up to the surface. THIS is what Im seeing. Sans internet. But an observation from all kinds of sources.

  15. Agree red/blue is BS as it tends to be more Rural versus Suburban versus city. The Suburban / Cities of Washington are true Blue, but the Rural of Washington is solid Red. I will pass on Mexico, too hot and go with Canada!, Winter is my favorite season.

  17. Trust me that you will love the Fairmont area as well as driving through the Banf national park and if you plan, camp and drive the park all the way up north to the Artic Circle. It is amazing to be in 24hrs of daylight and enjoy the outdoors at 1AM. Sadly Idiot47 is wanting to live in his Dementia filled head in the 50's and 60's and going backwards as he attacks alternative power is a BIG BIG MISTAKE! At this point, let the red states collapse and sadly I can see much loss of life due to how stupid the current administration is. America is going backwards as we give up leadership to China and Korea.

  18. You are right. Not every American is disgusting and ugly. I am wrong to paint everybody in that negative light. There are many nice Americans that didnt vote for this shyte. And Ill gladly accept your invite. As I hope you'll accept mine to come to Montreal and Ill show you my city. For real. But I will decline that invite temporarily. 51st state rhetoric and unwarranted tariffs on my country warrant me to think about my country first. Red States follow Trump's word and most folk down in those states now view Canada as an enemy because education is sorely lacking... Trump has hidden ideas for those tariffs on certain Canadian products. Lumber, steel and aluminium mostly. And he has convinced many in those fields that Canada truly is an enemy. I do not respect that. Also...yes, the internet is full of mis and dis information, but I can filter our the nonsense. But when I see California and New York sponsored (Blue States) travel ads on MY Canadian television stations telling me they miss my tourism...that only infuriates me more... Why? Well...I know that my fellow Canadians have mostly stopped from travelling to the States, and all that tells me about those adverts is that California and New York only miss my tourist DOLLARS. Not that they give a shyte about the welfare about MY country. Do NOT spend advertising dollars begging me to come back for my money, spend that money FIGHTING Trump and his regime... THIS is what Canadian tax payer money bought for advertising in those Red States THIS is what Canada as a country and as a people communicate to try and educate... Keep your phoquen golf balls... Apologize because your leader is a tyrant and you dont agree with the 51st state rhetoric. But do not tell me that. Fight in the streets that you do not agree with the 51st State rhetoric.. . Promise to fight for your freedoms. Dont beg me to come because you miss my tourist dollars and you will go broke. Boo freakin hoo. Do not tell me that Hollywood wouldnt be Hollywood without Canada. Shout that out loud so TRUMP... could hear you. SHOW it by fighting BACK at Trump!!! Again...dont tell me that Trump is trying to make enemies out of you and me. I know that. I aint stupid. But YOU fight back in your OWN country. California has got 2000 miles of beach coasts. Well...so does Canada. More actually. And its about time that we...CANADIANS, discover our OWN country. Time for us to love OUR country. You can start loving your own country. Start by respecting each other rather than the almighty dollar... So yeah...Im sure not all Americans are ugly. But American culture has turned to shyte. To which I say no thanks to!!! PS: Huge contrast on how each culture has decided to approach this. Its like our country is a joke to you folk. Its like you folk dont even respect your own society so why the phoque am I asking you to have empathy for my country when you guys dont even care for your own???!!! PSS: Yeah...I know there are public outcries. The news do not cover that. Make it so that the news DOES cover it... Your outcries do not go far enough... Your society is still to selfish...

  19. Come down to middle of America. I'll buy you a beer here and we can find a classic car show to roam around. It isn't as ugly as you portray it to be. I'm sure it's also beautiful in the PNW where @G. David Felt lives and the Pittsburgh area where OUR leader resides, @Drew Dowdell. There are so many good people from these parts. Don't let the internet make you think everybody everywhere is jacked in the head. The internet can be very powerful and can portray many things that are skewed. There are certainly bad people everywhere, but I don't think there are as many bad people around as you think.

  20. GM CEO at the end of the video was not forthright about the eventual rise in prices by not wanting to link it to the tariffs. Donald J. Trump threatens not to raise the prices for the consumers to eat it and to definitely not blame the tariffs. He warned Walmart for that 2-3 months ago. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-walmart-prices-tariffs-response/ https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/trump-warns-walmart-eat-tariffs-instead-raising-prices By GM not admitting that prices will rise BECAUSE of tariffs is PURE COWARDICE!!! You gotta stand up... Everybody gotta stand up. Businesses and civilians alike. But a GM CEO makes plenty of money, he/she dont care what a particular political leader does or does not do... It is the little guy that pays the price. The video talks about many OEMs having theor profits slashed by a significant amount. I was shocked with Toyota's loss of profits as well as GM's. I want to surprised with Ford's results. But lets keep in mind those are figures for Q2. By year's end, lots of panick for those same CEOs not wanting to fight back the tariffs loud, proud and publicly... The sales prices WILL go up regardless if CEOs want to admit reasons are tariffs. These CEOs better hope that American citizens have deep pockets and are capable of absorbing yet another price hike on yet another product. And for how long can these deep pockets of these very very rich average American Joes last? But I keep on hearing that average Americans do not monies for groceries. And wasnt Biden fired from his Presidency because the price of eggs were sky high even BEFORE the tariffs and Donald J. Trump himself? Ah yes...yes... I kinda remember something like that...

  21. We could do it with one simple change to the constitution, all other changes would flow from that. We need an amendment for ranked choice voting required in every election, even dog-catcher. Also the elimination of the primary elections. This will do several things. 1. It will stop extremist from both sides getting elected unless a true majority of the voters want it. The primary system is the primary cause of the extremism we've been seeing. Only the lunatics can make it through their party's primaries and the sane, sober "boring" people don't get soundbites or traction. 2. It opens up the door for 3rd parties to make a real go of it. Ranked choice, even in just the general election, would likely have changed the outcome of 2016 and 2024. Once the sane people are back in charge, we could look at things like breaking up monopolies/oligarchies and retiring the Electoral College.

  22. This is Ranger sized. Purely a guess, but I'm thinking we'll see the debut of the truck by April. The Model T moment is the reinvention of the production line. A 40% reduction in build time is huge. Why? People are switching to Equinox EVs en masse and it isn't even that great. A base 'Nox EV is $33.6k before incentives and it's the best selling non-Tesla. Prologue is higher and sells great too. The "Ranchero" EV truck would be the only one in the segment at that price. The Scout and the Rivian are more than double. It's going to be a RAV-4 sized interior with a lockable bed and frunk, at a price lower than a RAV-4. There will be waiting lists for the first few years.

  23. When we have this revolution I will be the countries number one supporter and wear red, white and blue every day for the rest of my life. I am just as disgusted with a ton of the dems as I am with the republicans. I think the US needs to stop thinking like an empire and take care of our people here.

  24. The US needs a political revolution. The whole system and mostly the people in it all need to be re-done. I know there's no realistic way for something like this to happen, but it needs to happen. Both parties are so extreme in their viewpoints that 90% of the population stands in the middle. A third or even fourth party needs to be recognized, for starters.
