FRANKFURT: 2008 Mazda6
looks good, but the grill reminds me of the last Gen camry and from the pics up there, the corners of the rear bumper look fat.

Recalls/TSBa for Chevy Express?
my 99 monte doesn't lock once in a while... i think it's related to my misfires the car has once in a while and rough idle associated with it... but it has unlocked a few times under cruise at 70which is kinda odd.

FIRST GLIMPSE: 2010 Buick LaCrosse Interior
very nice everything but ... i'm not a person that likes all in one center stacks. very nice, clean, simple cluster. shifter = nice, no "tap shift"? steering wheel, very nice, hard to imagine an air bag behind that though.

First new car
i "recieved" a 83 regal wagon, surely some people know that by now... got my license in '99. i can totally see someone giving their child a "starter car" , kinda old, mostly reliable, nothing too exciting, only for them to really get alot of experience behind the wheel at. but if i lived someplace remotely like NY with lots of walkers/masstransit, i'd prolly agree XP and SS

Stupid LaCrosse Super Ad
the 3800 has a decently lower axle ratio... 3.05 the 3.6L has a 3.69 and super has just under a 3 according to buick.comit's sad that the 3.6L has that flatened torque curve from 2000rpm up to ...4.5k? just a slightly castrated engine.

Stupid LaCrosse Super Ad
it might be faster than an '82 GN... first year it was available according to wikipedia with either a 4.1L or a turbo 3.8L.. if true, yes it'd be faster than the 4.1L for sure.

2.2L LAP
when the improved 2.2L is supposed to be used in the 09 'balt, other than the g5 (if it's alive), will this engine be in more vehicles than delta immediately? hopefully it makes good numbers, and if BAS is still used, will be used instead of the 2.4L to get another point or 2 in combined mileage. anymore info on this topic?

Hybrid bicycle
i know there is a bike with a shaft driven wheel, and an 2wd version too. it uses an automatic gear change... pretty sure i heard about a near cvt bike too, chain driven.

Toyota FJ - Structure cracking
anyone notice it's allready 100 pages long? i don't think any of our non-lounge topics come anywhere close to that. i would think yota needs to say something about this before someone is injured, then a lawsuit could be flying their way.

Surprise from a friend
lookin good. very much a head turner. if i can afford a new car getting out of college, i'm excited about the camaro and the possibility of the "regal" looking this good.

Living with ED
yeah, some stuff they push is easy, while some of it is "give up your glutenous habits". i don't watch it so much for the information, i think how he, his wife, and whoever else interact is entertaining.... to a point. but him vs bill nye out greening each other was just funny to me.

GM Design Center Conceptual Interior Elements
the cadi stuff looks great, the pontiac is eh. i don't think the stereo/hvac control integration is good, i'm of the persuasion that aftermarket stereos will "always" be better than OEM. but as far as look goes, well done overall.

GM testing engine that could up fuel savings by 15 percent
barely off topic....is the 2.2DI going to kick out the 2.4 used in the BAS hybrids?

Living with ED
show concept: Ed Bayglie (sp?) goes to people's houses and informs people how to be more "green" or just cut down on power usage. i've seen 2 episodes... the new one with bill nye and the one with Tiegs. i think anything is better with bill nye, he and Ed have a rivalry it seems, i found it hilarious. supply and demand... same supply, decrease the demand, decrease price. the economics of being greener is in cosumers' pocket book's interest, for a lot of things, not everything though.

What does a LeSabre and HHR have in common?
good looking lesabre. i've seen them on a new dts, a very chrome trimed out alero, over the wheel on a grand prix, i think. it's a sad trend...

GM testing engine that could up fuel savings by 15 percent
the ethanol hcci would take a different comp ratio to have this work, surely... aka different internals/head i don't think we'll see that here for a couple years after gas or diesel engines have it.get it working for bio diesel!!! heck, wouldn't hcci save trucking and train companies lots of money too?
