  1. from that pic looks pretty clean, nice. i don't know of much engine work that can be easily done to that engine, i have a 99 monte 3.1L. you talking about dress up work or digging into it? welcome to C&G also.
  2. i remember you. hello again
  3. i saw that sp1 for vista is in beta now, so it will be better soon. about the ram, if you do it, get a 64 bit version. if you're buying a new system i'd try to wait till the new AM2+ stuff from AMD comes out, at least more competition, possibly better than core duos, but, you know, prolly lower prices either way you go.
  4. mix of g6 coupe and aura is what i get. looks good.
  5. not to mention honda has no v8's... but i bet some trade-in's on thier lots are.
  6. nothing within a 10 hour radius of me.
  7. i wasn't driving but a geo metro past the car with oncoming traffic and prolly would've hit them if the driver of the car i was in didn't slow down from about 55 to about 30, letting the pos metro merge back over quickly.
  8. prolly bailed before the hill. LOL
  9. that V8 seems low on the HP if it's DI'd... a sedan?!!! looks wrong, WRONG!!!!
  10. headline---- $17 , wow, isn't that like 9 pounds?
  11. the possibilites with this are quite cool, but we talked about it before, another nanny device is what seemed to be the verdict. easing congestion is prolly the #1 best thing this could do, ya knowtell other cars where you want to go and so the people around you could be nice, and move the traffic slowly instead of stop and go.
  12. if a 95 4.3L is any similar indication.... it's fine. this in your 87 rs?
  13. the "fact" he quoted when i first asked what he got was the resale value of yota's in 3-5 years... and then said it was cute.... it's his wife's car. then later in the day kinda implied... who knows if they'll keep it more than 3 years sort of thing, if he really wants a camaro or something else by then. sorry, just looked at my first post... his top budget was just a hair over 30K for a better idea what he was looking at. his last GM vehicle he personally owned, not "company owed", was an olds.. '85 88 pretty sure... one plagued with tranny problems, computer problems. he likes the company owned '07 'nox pretty well though. this thread gonna die now? lol
  14. he has picked.... too end this chapter.... an 07 solara.....

i bet it's doable, but an LT1 and 6 speed only add.. say maybe 150 lbs. i bet the cad 500 would add more like 300lbs by itself....maybe over the limits of the stock (un reinforced) motormounts...?
  16. if they take 3K that's prolly fine.. the tax incentive should cover that 3k or so for the consumer.

this list doesn't do anything to the 7 "ancient" wonders of the world.... this list isn't to replce that list.

yeah, those are amazing, but evidence lead to a poured theory of most of the pyramids' outer coverings... a slurry poured into molds.acropolis is great, got nothing against it. stonehenge is good, but could have been constructed by available tech at the time, and good astronomy measurements. chichen itza is a marvel. built by hand, insanely accurate, a testament to the mayan's knowledge of the natural cycles of the earth, sun, and the heavens...their calander is a 100th more accurate than what we use today and that was 1600 years old, at least.
  19. stopped it after about 30 secs. wow.
  20. just telling what i read.google maps says it's 277miles on I40 to I30...anyway... from what it said goes on to say he drove his 2004 malibu with the 3.5L V-6 with 76K miles on it. figured mileage based on google is more like 41. not his claimed 44.5 in the paper. not sure how hilly that area is.

HERE are the results. chichen itza totally deserved that. other than the colosseum, there must've been lots of people that considered the "old world" wonders not on their radar.... kinda thing
  22. too bad it stopped there.... i wanted to hear it wide open down a straightaway. think this is the 3.6L DI?
  23. he'll pass his late 90's (maybe 2000?) camry on to his daughter, and have a ~96? cavalier (manual) to get rid of/trade. he's pretty fixed on a mustang convertible and the GT is a little out of his price range. he's looked at an eclipse, no, a little small. it will be his wife's car during the week, she's a teacher. he's near 50, mid life crises? ...he bought a low miles, 4 year old, triumph last year. the kappa's are to small for him, and he wants a convertible. he'd prefer a car from a dealer lot (read comes with some warranty) any good ideas for other vehicles he should look at? any good reasons why he shouldn't buy a mustang? thanks. if nothing else it's fodder for discusion oh, he does like how the "'09"camaro looks, his son has a 4th gen SS convertible. thinks the 08 malibu looks to bland.( he was looking into the midsize before he decided he wanted a convertible.
  24. i was kinda thinking studebaker.....hehe. any interior shots? looks cool.
