  1. kinda had an oddity recently. had 25% highway @62ish and the rest was town driving and i some how did the 240 miles on ~12.5 gallons. that's just not right... i should have been getting high 20's if not low 30's on the highway and 18 at worst in town. what i'm seeing when my gas gauge works on my newest tank is prolly 16-18 mpg, vast majority in town some intertown driving, 55mph max. could the cold really be killing my mileage that badly? i don't let it warm up much..... not checked my tires since it got cold. prolly should have the tranny fluid changed (147K miles) it runs fine/idles smoothly any ideas?
  2. the other things that is funny about this loan/bailout is that they're not borrowing from the gov, they borrow from us, and it's financed from a private bank, not the treasury. so "we the people" don't get the interest on this loan.
  3. he might be a right winger, but why would anyone with a mind support W after some of the things that have gone through. not that these 2 last years were any better since "NOONE" blames a congress what..pres has single score and congress barely double digit "like" ratings...?
  4. both videos are superb! lol

i'm almost certain your right longtooth without hearing about it. print $1 but say it's worth 10 on the books. yup
  12. true that.
  13. this was before or just after roe v wade... so ... if you add say another 30 million more people to our pop, then the energy we would need would be...~10% more, i bet most greenies would say, good,..... but that's a lot of potential brain power. just saying, they were hoping for the best and what they got was regulation killing that dream and not the huge need that was to put that technology on top.
  14. [fender vent!!!!] lol not the same
  15. i got a mid 80's result too.

  18. ....but, pirates and global warming are inversely related..i saw a graph!!!! i think the recent happenings are only helping that hypothesis. lol
  19. Malibu sure has had a positive effect on the Cruze. the bright work alone immediately set it apart and the 2 tone wrap finishes the job... now the only question is how will they compare in price?
  20. I thought it was arond 100 miles, maybe 150? the volt does 40 miles on a charge before the engine starts, supposedly. i'm gonna guess if you don't have gas, it might make it 48...?
  21. same here

    tire tech

yes, the honeycomb one is just for much heavier loads...and prolly rides more evenly.
  25. i think the credits for "business vehicles" is what he's talking about...? you could just as easily say it was the lack of power in the 80's into the 90's that only the trucks had then, buyers just stayed in them, for safety too. regs have become so strict since 70's .. keeping small diesels in a tiny niche, and larger ones only for trucks
