the lacross is getting the 3L as the base... it's been known for...2-3 weeks? hopefully the 2.4 goes into the 'bu and hybrid and gets, maybe, 2 mpg better in the city. 1 on the highway. that'd be what? 24/33 ... ok ~24/34 w/ the 6 speed that would be the best in class, surely.

the 2.4 does have a decent amount of torque...given it will have a 5..or (hopefully) a 6 speed, it should be just fine for a base engine. now just sport tune it to 195hp and 185lbft for kappa and it'd be even better. the 3.0L will nicely supplant, then replace, the 3.5 and 3.9 liter engines.....over the next...5 years they stay in the impala. lol

and the 6speed manual, yes. unless big comfort is your thing.

yeah, i7.... it is a haus. sadly it's been shown to have a TLB bug like the v.1 phenoms had though. I don't anticipate spending that kind of money for an i7 on my next pc though. hehe

Do any of you look forward to CES this next month? I always look at the mobile audio stuff, mainly headunits, pioneer. the TV stuff will prolly be good I am excited about AMD releasing the Phenom II and the AM3 platform. there are reports/data that shows the 920's hitting just under 4Ghz OC'd on air on the 790GX chipped mobo's. the 940's are BE running at 3ghz stock, the 920's are supposedly 2.8ghz stock. i don't expect to see any SED tv's this year, but might be surprised...? you looking forward to anything?
