small local business, i could pay ~1000 for a year through school provider, but i'm still on my parents insurance. yes i'm getting stolen from for medicare/aid. saw a funny headline on digg, the minimum wage is obviously 6.55 now, but it was saying that that's worth .50 less than 10 years ago. think how much a dollar could buy if we eliminated the debt the biggest creditor has given us, the FED. that would cause massive deflation. $5 a day back in the early century could be like getting paid 5X what the silver price is (since we still mint silver dollars).... something like $65 at spot price now, and you would keep all of that income instead of something like 20% stolen from you. yes, there is a wage disparity, that's capitalism, but along with that, corporatism and the idea that it is a legal entity is outrageous too.

so you want teachers to be paid better, whether it affects their teaching skills or not, but you want to pay less in insurance because the gov't will be subsidizing your payment somehow. same with college. I don't know how this will happen without raising taxes, oh yeah, the "wealthy" are supposed to pay for it. that seems very unfair. costs go up when a third party pays for any/everything. the cure for high costs is competition and individual payer. 4 years of one person should not affect US a whole lot unless a huge financial burden is placed on us, be it regulations or war. i've not read into it much, but i saw stories that McCain wants to replace the UN with something that allows wars more easily. I'm all for getting out of the UN, but it's unlawful for the president or anyone outside of the whole congress to declare war.

yes, McCain is a go getter whether he's right or wrong. ...favor the rich, those are the people that can create jobs easily, give a lot to charities, make big scholarships... you make it sounds like they are the enemy. the real enemy is a federal gov't with people in it that don't know where to stop, more, more, more. these people are on both sides of the "aisle", but more so on the left, because it's liberal ideology that if there's a problem, it's gov'ts job to solve it.

or that's a good down payment on the debt/social security hole we have dug. i'll prolly not vote for McCain, but othewise i totally agree. both think cap and trade is a good idea. it will pull in more money to D.C. and because of it, wither our economy more... or at least the ones that don't get gov't handouts.

you have to realize, that the gov't first got into marriage because of incest and such. if the gov't stopped marrying people, these amendments would be even more silly. marriage began as a religious ceremony, because tribes frankly are not a gov't. so again, if you want to be able to be gay and marry, find/start a religion that it's ok to do that.

Just saw a new Mazda6 on the road today. caught me by surprise. i think it was the 4cyl. didn't have "true" dual exhaust. it looked good, but i mostly saw the side and rear. the front screams rx8 and the rest is not that close to the last mazda6. i'd need another look at it from more angles to give more of an opinion

i saw gas was trading right around $2.75 today.

obviously one doesn't need 150 hp...~120hp with a huge flat torque curve with a 6 speed will be very ...thrifty. as long as the trans is build to use more power, 140hp just seems like a better idea. This makes even more sense if the 2.2L is out of the Cruze's options. assuming the cruze will actually an "SS" model, this HP gap is normal for europe, but seems like a knee-jerk to regs and gas prices...? it's odd the 5.7L is still used for comparison with the diesel. it mentions DI and others for more engines... but are there any plans now to put the GMC 4.9L DI engine into production or the like? do we see the need for a W-body 6speed, or is [impala] just going to move to LWB EPII...in 10 years? lol
