  1. me too!!!! can it be a true buick though? hehe
  2. i heard about that book, i may look into it myself. on topic, would "loans" be fair play compared to the other companies (toyota), i can't say NO. I'd love to see GM take a stand and say no and work through it, assuming those loans would be worth anything in several years.
  3. the top half looks malibu level good, without direct photo comparison.
  4. this is the whole special interests debate. if everything was truely fair, these "special interests" would have no power.
  5. are these inspections free? cause if they aren't then it hurts "lower class" citizens that cannot or have not bought new"er" cars.
  6. federal reserve is not part of the gov't. it was created by it, but not part of it. it is just a central national bank some might say $25billion is change compared how in the hole we are anyway....
  7. I've heard they do that in... England? maybe not scratches, but anything noticeable from a few feet away.
  8. i was in HS when it was $.99 driving the wagon around getting ~17mpg now i've moved to the MC getting ~20mpg and gas has 3x'ed since then. i'd have to have a "prius" to be getting the same miles/$
  9. damn, and i was saving up my monies.
  10. extra rollover, oh, who am i kidding. LOL it's an oddity, it's cool for that. but i hope i'd never be seen in it, even dead. unless it was then going to blow up and erased form history.... maybe.
  11. +1, but he has already for Illinois and the senate.
  12. yes the "market" was deregulated, but the system is heavily regulated. if we had refineries in every state and able to drill responsibly, you think the speculators would be able to make so much off of it? the mortgages... there was a report on NPR that was talking about felons getting out of jail and deciding to go into mortgages in florida, that has some regulations they talked about, but it really comes down to criminals in these professions and should be treated, reprimanded, sent to trial as such. if safety equipment was no longer required, do you think gm ford and the others would stop putting near everything they can into safety? there might emerge one or 2 "stripper models" but they'll still be good crash ratings even if they aren't tested to maximize that. again, if we truely had a lassiez faire market, unfair companies & people would sooner or later fail under their own greed. Laws are made to protect the innocent (most, but that's another topic), so if people were fraudulent or knowingly making bad products, you're supposed to have a right to claim legal action, same with pollution. but that doesn't happen, cause we'd all have to sue the gov't, farmers, and most industries, and people that have cars that blow blue smoke. is it Japan that requires people to replace engines every 3 years or something? what a subsidy to engine manufacturers!!!!
  13. careful, you sound like socialism/regulation is a good thing. regulation comes from too much immoral/unlawful actions. displacement taxes are a way of saying ICE's are immoral/unlawful, which you are against. so what do you really want? freedom of choice or propped up industries with regulations/subsidies? edit: freedom of choice, as in fair and open competition
  14. eh.. price drops and just "getting used to it"...?
  15. happy birthday
  16. the 500 is at best cute. imo. the c6 is...an oddity. the rest belong more on this list than other cars.
  17. love the J. Bravo. lol eh on the article. hahaha
  18. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/15/gm-anno...-the-hummer-h2/ it sounds like an '10MY, but i was wrong, it's for the trucks and H2, not the burb and such...? it does seem like forever since they announced that. hopefully they have a v6 in the making for say, light duty trucks or maybe even the canyon/colorado.
  19. i think we all totally forgot about the 4.5L diesel for the 'burb, yukon, sclade and ...h2 if it's still around.
  20. good, if anyone doesn't want this much HP they should update the 2.8 or something. i'm guessing it's more with capacity though, since the lambda's all got DI for '09...
  21. i was hoping for a visual....
  22. i'm almost the same age as satty...so... i went to a small 5th, it was nice seeing people.. about 40-50 out of 95. yeah class of '02. smallish class because it was a catholic HS.
  23. too bad the reserve is not met.... i bet it's closer to 4k
  24. i think everyone agrees, but some people see mid to high 30's with an auto cobalt and it's rated 24/33. which is less combined than the 2.4L 6speed malibu for 09, 22/33...4 speed 22/30 for comparison the aveo is 25/34
  25. it is a dual exhaust .... the pic of the GT vert on pontiac.com is single exhaust.... but it's also an 08 model pic.
