GM News: GM Expands Ignition Switch Recall Amid A Climbing Death Toll
GM will have to eat crow, do normal damage control and pay out money. Then hopefully they will not listen to a bunch of bean counters and lawyers who only have their own wealth in mind and actually listen to the engineers who design and create these auto's so that the next problem like this comes up and they actually fix the issue never allowing it to get to the field.

Geneva Motor Show: MINI Clubman Concept Gets Actual Rear Doors: Comments
Nice has potential and will appeal to larger people. I agree with Dwight, need better names. Mini Cooper Medium Cooper Large Cooper LOL, I would think marketing would love to come up with a better name for a auto that is no longer MINI.

Listen to Bill Wise tell it!
That was way cool, Love the Flying Car Mode. Course if they got rid of all the nanny devices, they might not need Flying Car mode.

Review: 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ & GMC Sierra 1500 SLT
Awesome write up, great info and loved it as I learned plenty from it. I know I read about GM and other auto companies who at SEMA signed on to use Google Android system for the NAV units. I suspect we will see a complete change over on these Infotainment systems in a year or so as they begin to role out a customized version of Android with Nav units in the new models. Found these stories about the new system; http://www.businessweek.com/articles/2014-01-06/google-teams-with-gm-honda-and-audi-to-bring-android-to-cars http://www.autoweek.com/article/20140107/CARNEWS/140109907 http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1089496_audi-gm-honda-and-hyundai-bring-android-to-the-car-at-ces http://www.technologytell.com/in-car-tech/7102/we-for-one-welcome-our-open-source-infotainment-overlords/

GM News: GM Expands Ignition Switch Recall Amid A Climbing Death Toll
One PreGM Bankruptcy and the BEAN counters were in control, so the cost of lawsuits outweighed building the product right. Clear enough, GM is aggressively working to fix this. I feel for the people who died and the families who lost loved ones. I think GM would be wise to let people know if all the deaths were only due to this or if human error also truly played a part as they imply in the comment about alcohol and other issues. End game, GM is still way better than they used to be. Can they improve YES THEY CAN, I believe this is a good test case for them to show it by aggressively going after repairing this. I would still take one of these GM auto's over anything German or Asian built. Simple fix, replace the ignition switch.

Crazy waste of time when they could drop in like dwight points out a solid pushrod v8. Turbo's are over rated.

Karma News: Fisker's New Owners Plan To Restart Production Within A Year
Believe it when I see it, I think they have missed the window, but could be wrong. Tesla will be the champ for now till one of the big 3 auto companies finally get their act together to bring out various plug in versions including moving a pure electric play with generator into multiple platforms such as Trucks, SUV's full size and CUV's. Chevy could have a win win if they put the VOLT into say the Equinox and Tahoe along with he 1500 base truck.

New Car!
Congratulations, sweet looking little ride. Awesome to have a new auto that you do not have to think about seeing your mechanic any time soon. Way to go on this new ride and way to go in staying focused on paying off the student loans. My hat is tipped to you!

Alfa Romeo's Return To The U.S. Starting This Summer (We Think) :Comments
Why even bother making a news release as they have no trust in the public to actually deliver. On top of that, saying that select Fiat dealers will get the 4C along with the Maserati dealers sure sends a mixed message. Interesting so I guess then the Bellevue Maserati dealership and the two largest fiat dealerships which are only a couple miles away from this Maserati dealership, one to the north and one to the south will all get the 4C then. Do not believe it.

Dash Kits and Aftermarket Accessories - Yea or Nay
For me Mike, I like to update my exterior lights, interior lights and if a dash trim piece wears out or gets broken replace it with a quality piece which is not always OEM. In regards to putting a carpet on my dash or smoke spraying the headlights or other interior pieces, I tend to be more purist in keeping the interior the way the OEM made it. The biggest change I did was add sound deadening to my 94 Suburban so the inside ride is even quieter. I always enjoy seeing what others might do, but usually keep it simple.

Cadillac News: Spying: Enough About The Cadillac ATS-V, Here's The CTS-V
Proportions look nice, I do like the quad exhuast and interesting from vertical bars. I can see the Vertical LED daytime lights in the front lower facia as well as it looks like LED's around the headlights. Traditional bulge in the hood for the supercharger. Very exciting to see this model out and about.

GM News: Rumorpile: General Motors Joins The Aluminum Truck Brigade
I would rather see GM put R&D efforts into using flexible carbon fiber to reduce the weight of auto's and still hold up to the pounding of the real world. http://www.carbitex.com/ I like what they are doing and figure you could get carbon fiber body panels that can take an impact and then return to original shape. Much like the original saturn auto's.

Cadillac News: Cadillac Answers The "How Can We Get You Into An ELR" Question
How much nicer than the CTS? I sat in a CTS luxury and a V-sport at the auto show and while it is better than previous Cadillacs, I think it is on par with the Infiniti Q50 and is not up to A6 or E-class level. One odd thing about the CTS is the back seat bottom cushion is really short and ends then a carpeted section sticks out past that, it wreaks of poor design and cheap construction. The doors on the CTS also have the same handles as the Malibu and they sound like a Malibu when closed. A Cadillac should not have the same door handle as a $20k Chevy. The other question is if they have nicer and better materials than what are in the CTS, why didn't the CTS get those materials, because it could use them, why waste them on a car that won't sell. I have to totally disagree with you as the CTS is every bit as competitive to the A6 or E class and way better than a Q50. You have drank way to much marketing juice to be able to really see the improvements. Than again you seem to rarely if ever knock your Bavarian auto's unlike you do to American auto's.
