  1. There was. Lots of things. That is an understatement. The only good model was the 91 Escort GT built by mazda which was a great pocket rocket, but was attacked by the insurance industry.
  2. Very Cool
  3. I always forget about VW being a possible consumer of smaller auto companies. Not sure why but I also put them in the camp of possible consumers of Telsa or Fisker.
  4. That would give them a TT auto! I agree Toyota is at the top of the list with cash to buy a company like them. But they might be too conservative to actually jump at the chance. I could see BMW or MB doing it. I would love if GM could figure out how to scoop these startup up into the fold to sell the technology under the Cadillac/Buick line. Wonder if Tata Motors would try and pick up either one or that crazy car company that tried to do something with SAAB.
  5. Pain in the arse toi wrok on and about as reliable as a vintage british sports car... One in pristine shape cruises around here... But does it have the original motor and electronics? There are a couple here in Seattle that I see all the time but they are truly custom rides even under the hood. If you love the shape, then redoing all the weakness should not be a problem.
  6. You and me both. And every pastor I've sat under has warned against spiritual nuttiness. Like anything, Extremes go too far and need to be pulled in. Balance is what it is all about.
  7. Gotta love double days of Presents!
  8. Nice Tree, Winter has finally set in for Seattle. We are in our normal mid 40's temp with drizzle/rain here and snow on the passes. Not long before ski season starts.
  9. Good thing lots of stupid parents and their kids buy his garbage music as his insurance rates must be through the roof. Shame such an awesome car is wasted on a kid.
  10. We'll that sucks and will not help the long term situation of the company. Europe is going to have to come to terms with their over supply glut and close factories and shed jobs.
  11. How about this bad boy? Does it look any better??A one-of-a-kind Cadillac CTS Coupe covered with 350,000 Swarovski crystals was unveiled last weekend, during the Qingdao International Auto Show.http://stationz.blog...d-cadillac.html
  12. Does that mean he is dating himself?
  13. +2 This is just a tragedy! I can say that this look that baby boomers love will disappear over the next few years and I hope go away for good. Odd..never thought of that a boomer thing, thought it was the previous generation that was into that cheese...the older fogies. Around here it seems to be guys in their late 60s and 70s w/ the DTSes w/ the 'carriage roofs', gold trim, wide whitewalls, etc. Yup those are the tail end of the baby boomers. My own parents fall into that category and when I first bought them the CTS when it first came out my dad asked about having this done and I told him no way I was going to destroy a awesome car by doing that.

  15. Totally agree, this is more cult than religion and with no common sense, I think their other kids are in danger. I do not agree with this probation. These people killed their son.
  16. why? station wagons are so uggg. I would rather have the same space in a CUV and sit up higher with a better line of sight. I think this falls into the "different strokes for different folks" category. I would much rather have a sport wagon than a CUV. I like the handling characteristics of the wagon better and could care less about sitting up high. BTW - where are GM, Ford and Chrysler with the passenger car diesels? I guess they are still convinced Americans won't buy them even though it is a pretty damn high take rate on VW/Audi. Let's hope the diesel Cruze sells well enough to change their minds. I agree with the Cruze, I hope the Diesel sells out so that it is heavily backordered and makes them rethink diesel. In regards to the SUV versus wagon, I agree different strokes for different folks. Then you would all be happy to give up a wagon if you had the Typhoon or Trailblazer SS? Those AWD SUV's totally rock for space and performance with a bit higher sitting line of site.
  17. Heh. Paint the air cleaner and valve covers gold or sump'n'. Just cover it in Carbon Fiber with Gold Emblems and it is taken care of. When was the last time a 1/10th of 1% rich person ever took their MB S series plastic engine covers off and said OMG, that is the same engine from the E series. Return it!
  18. That is what I love about airtools, they have one that pops out those rivets mighty fast. I agree, the bean counters are too blame for this shortcut.
  19. Something Old but clean! Too small to see the details or it is my eyes.
  20. Greatest thing about SUV's is the ability to drive up on the curb with the front tire and pop down and be nice and close without a bunch of hassle with the back and forth of traditional parallel parking. That reminds me of the Ford Pickup I had with 3 on the Tree. I used it for my drivers license test and I remember the guy who tested me, besides being a jerk was surprised to see a truck like that. Guess he did not get around many types of trucks. 3 on the Tree was awesome to drive. I do miss those trucks.
  21. Your Awesome Drew!!!
  22. Cherry Express
  23. Not to mention the safety issue of these peeps who can barely see over the dash due to being so reclined as it being just stupid.
