Cadillac News: Rumorpile: Yes To ATS Coupe, Uncertain On CTS Coupe, No To Wagons
True, Diesel is a requirement and I think Hybrid is going to be. I think a SRX built on the VOLT hybrid system would do very well here and in Europe.

Cadillac News: Rumorpile: Yes To ATS Coupe, Uncertain On CTS Coupe, No To Wagons
Interesting story, NO to a wagon makes me think the current mgmt has no long term plans for Europe. Yes to the coupe is a given, I see them everywhere here in Seattle and people I talk with just love them. The High Tech crowd at least here has pretty much gone away from the M3 to the CTS Coupe V. Americans are waking up to the quality of American Auto's. Talked with a cousin who had a Tahoe and no problems, got convinced by a coworker to trade it in on a toyota Sequoia and she has had nothing but problems with it and seen no better gas mileage. She told me she is waiting till her second year and then going to trade it back in on another Tahoe or maybe the Yukon. Since other than gas mileage, she had no problems with he Tahoe compared to the Sequoia. I think they need a coupe in both ATS and CTS version, I can also see a Wagon on ATS. This might be better for Europe if they do not do it on CTS, but I actually do not see much dollars spent on going from a CTS sedan to a wagon.

Weird, but the image is not showing. Based on Binging, I am going with the following: Bandit, Bandit, Bandit The Sentinal Beverly Hills Cop III Not sure on what the fourth movie might be since I have no picture to look at, so just a guess for me.

Dodge News: Dodge's President and CEO Sees 2.4L Being The Dominant Engine In The Dart
Sad to take a good looking car and not have a proper family of engines at the start. The people who actually know cars and can tell a delayed turbo lag engine will be the ones talking about it and being negative, this is NOT what you want at launch. They should have had a complete line to make sure you had good press from the get go.

According to Chrysler, the door cup holders are for sealed water bottles, etc they expect you to use the center stack for open coffee contrainers, etc. Jeep does the same thing, My son has a patriot and his doors is where he and everyone else that rides with him puts sealed containers only, he tells them to use the center cup holders for cans, coffee, etc. I have to agree with you on many of the area's that you say need improving, it really does still have a ways to go. I actually think the current Equinox is better than this auto though IMHO. One area I really agree with you on is the reflective aluminum trim they are putting on the dash as well as chrome and how on a sunny day it reflects on the windshield and back in your face. I do not know who thought this was a good idea, but from a safety stand point it is one of the worst things that can be done and my current pet peeve with Caddilc is all the stupid brushed chrome on the dash. SRX especially.

Vehicle: Volkswagen Beetle TDi (2013)
So if the handsome Gingerbreard man was the one fumbling around in your car would he stll have been a bitch? I agree with you Ocnblu that people who go out to a customers auto to get info better damn well know the auto's and not just be a pretty face, etc. That is the one thing I love about my caddy dealership, the service rep is the only person who goes out to get info and they know the auto's inside and out. While the dealership needs a major remodel, I am very pleased with the service and people working there. Professional across the board. Glad to hear your TDI is still pleasing you so well. Saw a bluish looking one this morning walking to work with new temp lic in the rear window. You can truly barely hear the diesel. Very quite engine and while the traditional knock is there, it is nothing like the cummins or powerstroke. Wish we could get a audio of the Duramax 2.9L, I wonder if it is as quite as the V8 Duramax. That is one engine I just love.

Very interesting, mud need to make one correction please. or what we could a crossover. I assume the word could should be call? The X family especially the X6 has been a love it hate it relationship for me as some colors make me go Hmmmmm and other colors have made me go WTF. This small 2 door SAV has me scratching my head as I am not sure if I really like it or not, I hate the big blind spots it has with the rear quarter panels.

Buick News: Buick Week: Buick to the Future!
I agree with most of what you say except the traditional full size sedan comment. Maybe you are too young to really know what a full size sedan is, but I can tell you that the Avalon and Azera are mid size cars not full size. In fact the auto industry is trying to reboot what a full size sedan is by saying these cars are full size, but anyone who knows history can tell you these are nothing but mid size cars.

New York Auto Show: 2014 Cadillac CTS: Comments
Given Cadillac's lack of investment and commitment to Europe, I hope to see the new CTS next time I go to the US (or, if I'm lucky, maybe on one of my trips to Sweden). With GM's track record, it would be interesting to have a thread for people to post their plan on how GM should bring their product line to Europe. I think people outside of the box might actually have a better chance on selling the luxury line (cadillac) and mid lux line (Buick) to Europe.
