  1. I see the Barracuda song making a come back!
  2. Be interesting to see how long the camera for adjusting suspension will take to get to all vehicles or will it be technology that dies. I have a hard time seeing any real value in this compared to what GM has accomplished with their Magnetic Ride system.
  3. I so hate Facebook, what a worthless site. They continue to prove why I will never open an account. No image to see and they try to pushout pop up crap and say you need to join to see an image. So far this Snake is not winning any points with me. It still seems ugly and I for one am not impressed with this way of trying to get interest in their Halo Car.
  4. Sweet, I can take the biggest bomb they have and nuke Olympia and still survive
  5. Looks like it was ricered. Nope not a fan.
  6. wow, ammazing video
  7. Right now they need to get their house in order and clean up the excessive cost of teh Euro Unions and the run aways spending before they consider doing a mid luxury or highend luxury model. Get the foundation right and then build.
  8. The Cadillac Version I agree will probably be the answer to getting the VOLT price to drop faster by getting the R&D cost covered by the higher income users.
  9. Sweet, always a sucker for a clean and polished ride.
  10. With your Suburban, 13 combined MPG * 42-gallon tank = 546 miles. Yes, you can go far, but you aren't achieving anything close to good fuel economy... Fuel Economy is in the eye of the beholder. My wife was rearended twice. The first time we were in my Aunts Delta 88 at a stop light in Huntington Beach CA when a Suburban rear ended us totaling the auto and severly hurting my wife who was in the back seat. The second time was when a Washington State DOT truck was not paying attention to traffic and rear ended my wife in our Ford Escort we had for her driving required merchandising job and again got severly injured. What Price do you put on quality of life over gas milage? For me, that was the end to me having family members drive small auto's. The suburban had barely a dent to it's front metal bumper and the DOT truck according to pictures taken by WSP in their police report showed nothing but scratches to the DOT truck and yes our 2 year old escort was totaled. My wife and I would rather fill up a tank and have protective steel around us than deal with the body damage caused by other poor drivers. So from my point of view, Gas milage is all relative in relation to QUALITY OF LIFE! My wife loves the suburban for the room, comfort and the line of sight due to sitting up much higher as our suburban has a 3" lift kit. For us, we will never get rid of our full Size SUV's. Yes I know I spend far more on gas each month than the average person, about $600 a month, but it is well worth it. Buy an S60 and she'd likely be better off in both regards. (active headrests for rear end collisions) S60 would be considered if it was built and run by an american company and if the wife liked the looks of volvo's. We have all GM auto's. In both accidents, the seats were totally broken from the connections in the floor as to how hard the hits were, even with Active headrests I still think she would have gotten some form of wiplash. The first car did not have headrest as to why I think it was so bad and the 2nd car had them and lucky for her she was resting on it so she only agrivated her old injury rather than causing new damage.
  11. Have a safe business trip.
  12. Very Sweet Ride
  13. While I think some of these limitations are good, I feel the bulk of this is Big Brother telling you what you can do and when. I agree that a driver should NOT be browsing the web or social media or any other visual/manual input, but the ability to enter an address into nav via voice input should be allowed as well as voice operation of other devices. I do not see this as distracting to the driver. I do agree that things should always be less complicated. Will be interesting to see what the input from the public will be on this. Also WHY CHICAGO? I get LA and DC, but I would think they could and should get input from say the Tech Valley of California, Seattle, Dallas, Miami and NY as well as Chicago.
  14. Hate to say it, but the car looks ackward. Hopefully the real thing will look much better.
  15. Thank you Black Knight, this is great to finally learn what the Alphabet soup means for Cadillac.
  16. While I do love my current 2008 Trailblazer SS, I also do like this new version also. It would be great to get this with the 2.9L Duramax Diesel.
  17. SWEET Ride, that would be an awesome candidate to restore, just wish I had the money to do it.
  18. If one looks at the facts of all defense/military spending, the budget for this year is estimated to be down to 1.415 trillion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_budget_of_the_United_States The Estimated outlay for OverSeas Military Bases is $250 Billion. http://www.fpif.org/reports/the_cost_of_the_global_us_military_presence Right here is $250 Billion that can go to strengthan this country and help rebuild the infastructure compaired to putting it in other counteries pockets. List of all the bases http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_military_bases Great review of "Cost of an Empire, Can we really afford 1000 bases?" http://www.alternet.org/world/130900/the_costs_of_empire:_can_we_really_afford_1,000_overseas_bases/ Enjoy,
  19. When one finds that the Americans have built a very competitive luxury auto and has their own best beaten by it, then they start to look little things to complain about. The CTS-V and CTS in all versions beats the Driving Machine of BMW and MB, so the reviewers who do not want to believe we can build quality products that are the best use little things like 1.7" to justify why it is faster or not equal to a 5 series. Fact is we have to accept that we cannot win everyone over, so we need to stay focused on building the best product there is and accept that every other builder is out there is going to try and knock off our crown. Only by doing this will we truly stay the standard of the world and continue to win over skeptics. Every little comment needs to be reviewed and if it has a bit of fact for example certain dash trims that are not truly Luxury level, then you fix these things to make sure the American Driving machines are just that, The Driving machine Standard of the World. CTS-V
  20. From the CadillacForum.com People there are stating that the ELR = Extended Long Range. Not sure if this is true as I could not find anything on the GM web site to confirm or deni this.
  21. It would make sense to move to Alpha and drop Sigma and reduce cost while increasing quality and profit margin.
  22. Wow, I love learning new things every day. I always just replaced the whole thing, never knew you could buy a rebuild kit for the distributor.
  23. Japanese only model.. Uses a four-cylinder engine Also very gutless if you ever been in one. It is equal IMO to a basic Chevy. Crazy how they will hold a name to a cheap car rather than have the cheap model in he Toyota name plate.
  24. We could cut our debt and cost greatly by making one large change. Stop the 1.5 trillion a year spent on rent to other counteries for letting us have a military base and the cost associated with hosting soldiers there. Just like Global warming, there is NO SOLID FACTS that support the US being the World Police Force. We could pay down debt and focus on rebuilding our own infastructure. Bring the troops home and post them on the boarders with orders to shoot to kill anyone trying to sneak across. End result is a large drop in smuggling of drugs, illegals and all other forms of criminal activity. BENEFIT - Safe country and secure boarders. Close all overseas military bases, BENEFIT - considerably lower costs to the tax payers, smaller military and funds to focus on core infastrucure needs such as rebuilding our roads better, mass transit, clean water, Power grid, etc. This on top of focusing on growing our education system to be the best in the world again.
